Am I the only one who thinks Jimmie looks a bit like....

...Jon Moxley, the wrestler with AEW? Been listening to the guys since day one but never bothered to see what they looked like. Watched for the first time on Netflix and it struck me a bit. I'll try and post a pic for comparison if I can.

Anyone collect detective magazines?

Obviously the guys mention the old school detective magazines in various episodes, and I wonder if anyone has got a collection of these? I've got it in my head to start trying to find some vintage ones, between 1940-1980 but can only think of eBay as the best option.

Edit: I'm in the UK so I assume they may not be prevalent. Any advice on where to look? Job lots aren't out of the realm.

Sorting office closing at 10am

Guess who got there at 10:01 after a 2 mile walk. Had no idea it closed at that time. Should have checked so that's on me. Still, at least I got some decent exercise.

Edit: decided to make the trip again as it was clear blue sky. Turned out to be a bloody letter which I had to pay postage on! Damn their eyes! Words will be had with the sender.

Can I legally go and live in the woods!

Edit: sorry, I meant a question mark, not an explanation point.

So, I hate having to pay so much rent for a tiny room. Is there anywhere that I could go and pitch a tent with no restrictions! Just me, and a little stove, and some books.

The Crash

Just watched this. What an entitled, self-absorbed, arrogant little girl. F**k her. Hope she rots.

I have two girls, and neither are as obnoxious as her, mainly because they've been brought up correctly.

Does anyone know of any decent paranormal investigation podcasts?

I'm looking for something that covers any paranormal, alien, conspiracy etc subjects that has good research rather than just the standard easily reported details.

Thanks in advance

A panda walks into a pub...

.... goes to the bar and orders a pint from the slightly stunned barman.

"That'll be £7 please" says the barman, which the panda duly pays.

Once the panda has finished his drink he orders another. Again "that'll be £7 please", which the panda pays.

Another drink down the panda orders another. While pouring the pint the barman says,

"You know, we don't get many pandas in here" to which the panda replies

"I'm not surprised with these prices".

My life has spiraled out of control

I (47m) have nothing. Over the last 3 years I've lost my marriage, my family, my home, and my job. My drinking has grown to a stupid level. I have crippling anxiety and depression, and nothing I do seems to work out. I know what I need to change but whatever I try fails.

I don't know how much longer I can cope with the complete bleakness of my life. I just can't see an end in sight, I really can't.

Edit: thank you all for your useful comments. They're all appreciated.

Does people ever respond to those Indian scam texts/emails?

I woke up to an incredibly poorly worded "invitation" to attend some random blokes party in London, where I could use his limo, win big (never explained how), and that he'd introduce me to his cousin who he noted was a teenager, but also divorced.?. Obviously blocked and reported, but it got me curious if anyone ever bothers to respond in any way, shape, or form.

If so, what happened?

I seem to be transmitting Talksport

Edit: think we've solved it. Appears to be a satellite dish from next door. Shut the window and it's now very faint.

Sounds incredibly random, I know, but having had barely any sleep the last few days I'm having auditory hallucinations and can hear Talksport very clearly. It fades in and out as I move around my room, and I don't seem to be able to hear it anywhere else. It's quite distracting!

If anyone knows of any ways to get rid of it, other than sleep which is my plan, I'd be more than happy to hear how.

Arthritis through gaming

Is anyone else starting to feel their hands starting to tighten up? I'm 47, and have been gaming since I was 6. All primarily consoles so of course the controller has to be held a certain way. Over the last three months or so I'm finding difficulties in bending/unbending my fingers, mainly on my right hand.

I can't be alone in this, or maybe I'm just getting old!

I'm just broken

Edit: thank you for making a grown man cry. Might seem strange to say but it helps.

Truth is in the title. I'm completely broken. Over the last few years I've lost everything. My family, my marriage, my home, my job, all down to alcohol. Depression has overtaken me, and I'm finding it incredibly hard to drag myself out of the mire.

I have nobody. I'm struggling through this on my own. I don't know how much longer I can go. I'm not looking for sympathy, I just had to vent a bit.
