What's the most gentle approach?

My little guy is 6 months tomorrow and I think its tome to start sleep training. He never really slept well but then 2 regressions hit and its probably been 3 months of hourly wakes. I'm beyond burned out and cannot function properly.

He has always been rocked to sleep, we also exclusively contact nap during the day. I tried dropping to 3 naps but he struggles with even a 2 hour wake window and the days he did have 3 naps he sould wake at 5am instead of 7am.

Lack of sleep is taking a toll on me

I want to start by saying I love my baby so much, but I'm so sleep deprived I'm at a loss. I know I have developed PPD and have a psychologist I can talk to.

My almost 6 month old has never been a good sleeper. I can count on 1 hand how many decent stretches he has done since he was born.

We barely left the 4 month regression and he started waking every hour, sometimes every 30 minutes. I stretched his wake windows and dropped a nap, but all that did was cause him to start waking between 5-5.30 instead of 6.30-7.

He will not sleep in his cot from 3-4am (its been this way since about 6 weeks) so he sleeps on me in the recliner chair and I just sit there whilst he sleeps. The last 3 weeks though he wakes every 40 minutes where as previously he would sleep through.

I breastfeed every 2-3 hours during the day so that he gets enough calories and his day gives him a bottle of formula before bed. He is also breastfed once overnight and then gets another bottle of formula a few hours later.

We live in a big studio flat so don't have a bedroom where we could try setting his cot up, so he is next to me.

I'm sorry this is so all over the place but I've barely slept in 3 weeks and crying on and off.

When would you take your little one to a Concert?

My partner and I have tickets to Electric Callboy in September. Our little guy will be 6.5 months old. Initially we thought we would leave him with my parents, but he cries when either of us aren't holding him or reassuring him. My partners parents are over an hour away from where we are going, but he gets even more unsettled with them.

I don't know if its appropriate to get him ear protection and baby wear or just tell my partner to go without me. What would you do?

4 month sleep regression struggles

Really struggling with the 4 month sleep regression.

My little one goes to bed at 7-7.15 every night. He will sometimes do a 3 hour stretch but its mainly 1-2 hours. Then 1-2 hours until 4am when he is just hysterical and will only sleep on my chest in the nursing chair. Even then it takes over an hour to settle him to sleep.

He is fed, has a clean nappy, has a warm sleep sack on but i can't do anything to get him to sleep better.

I'm so sleep deprived and mentally struggling right now. I dread the nights and just cry most of the time now. He has rolled a few times in the last week so we are setting his cot up tonight to see how that goes. But any tips would be great on what I can try.

Nights far from improving

My little one is 16 weeks old and nights have been rough for about 4 weeks now. He wakes every 1-2 hours. Then from 3-4am it takes over an hour to get him to sleep. Even then its on my chest in the nursing chair.

His bed time is 7-7.15, I'm not sure if this is the issue. He has 4 contact naps per day but will rarely sleep longer than 40 minutes.

I'm completely sleep deprived and dont know what to do anymore. I feel like I'm not getting anything right and that's why he cant sleep.

Nursing crisis?

I'm struggling so much right now. My baby was almost exclusively breastfeeding except for a top up at night. When he hit 3 months he refused to breastfeed after 3pm. He would only take the boob during the midnight feed.

Well today he hasn't taken it once. Its 1pm and I've only been able to pump twice in the hopes that my supply wont me affected. He needs to be held constantly.

The past few nights after a 3 hour stretch he will wake every 40 minutes. I'm so exhausted and cant stop crying, ive also felt mad that this is happening. I really feel like I'm not coping and should just give up breastfeeding.
