Tried printing the same piece 3 times and it keeps failing. I only started printing mini’s on Thursday and had my P2S about 2-3 weeks at this point, so I’m relatively new. Thus far I’ve mostly printed gridfinity stuff and board game inserts, none of which have needed supports. I’ve gone through Bambu’s wiki several times and their learning modules, and I’ve become familiar with a lot but I still don’t know tons.

But this one issue I keep seeing is the first couple of layers for the supports aren’t the right size, they’ve shrunk in places. Sometimes this doesn’t cause any issues, but with this specific print, it keeps failing at the ankle when a support falls over.

Between the second and third prints, I washed my build plate with Dawn dish soap and I was wearing disposable non-powdered gloves to avoid adding fingerprints to the plate.

With the most recent print (shown still attached to the plate), I changed the supports to be strong trees as opposed to the defaults, but the supports failed worse.

Using P2S, Bambu slicer, Bambu PLA matte, default speed settings, 0.2mm nozzle doing the 0.08mm layer height. I haven’t tinkered with the defaults for nozzle temp and bed temp.

It’s honestly 2:30 am and I need to sleep, ask me any questions and I’ll provide you with as much details as I can about the file and what setting I’m using, but I’m about to pass out after waiting another hour and a half to see if it failed a second and now third time.

Additional note, I printed one of those vent nozzles to redirect airflow from being across the build plate to directed towards the ceiling of the build plate.

My biggest theory is under extrusion, because I’ve noticed some gaps in the lines on the layer touching the plate, but I don’t know how to properly fix this as I’ve already run the auto flow calibration several times.

I recently got a 3D printer and have discovered the glory that is Gridfinity. Unfortunately I could only find a few inserts for specific ink bottles. So I learned how to make my own bins with the help of some digital callipers. Now everything is easy to access and I actually managed to save a bunch of space.

The one I’m most proud of making is the 2x3 that holds the colorverse small bottles bc it turned out so cute.
