First attempt after two days (3 days at best) prep.

Original plan was to study for about 5 days and then take the test but i got sick 2 days before exam and could not study properly. Recovered just enough to go to the exam centre and took the exam while sick lol.

I was worried a little about speaking because I did not want to go over the time limit and i felt like i finished my tasks a bit too early. There was one task (predict future) where i stopped speaking with about 15 seconds to spare.

Speaking part also caught me a little off guard because everyone was speaking around the same time and it got kinda distracting but other than that, the exam experience was pretty smooth.

Edit: i wanted to add that during my practice, chatgpt never gave me a score of above 10 for both listening and speaking. So, if you are in the same boat, you will probably be fine.

How big of a deal is la rentrée?

A little context: i am learning french so lot of my instagram feed shows me french reels and other content.
I thought “Rentrée” was just back to school… but i have seen adults, news reporters, politicians(?) talking about it…
I wanted to know how much of a big deal it actually is?

How fast is too fast?

Started learning ASL because of my own quest to become a more accessible person. I’ve seen people going too fast when they spell something.
While i understand fluency comes with practise just like the oral languages.. but is asl as fast as people on youtube make it look like?

Please note that youtube is pretty much the place i have come across asl at the moment i havent taken any in-person classes yet so i dont really know what it feels like to sign in person and what the natural speed is.

Personal history question.

Hi.. out here little confused about how to fill this up in my personal history.
I was a student and had to stop working after i finished my studies up until i applied for my pgwp.

For me, this whole process was like less than two weeks.
After applying for pgwp i resumed working at the same place.

Heres how the timeline looks like.
Part time job > about a week and a half off > part time job resumed.

I am not claiming points for this job so the whole thing is going into personal history. I am just confused if i need to break it up into two separate sections or do i put in the start and finish date of the job?

Watching sports in french has changed my life!!!

World cup and wimbledon going on right now on beinsports. I cannot think of a better way to interact with the language if you are remotely interested in sports.

I am using 3rd part websites cause i dont live in france and there is a little delay compared to the broadcast but honestly ça vaut la peine.

How do i fix this…?

Aaaaa my mind is tired.. my le,de,me + others keep on sounding like les, des, mes + others..

I am hopeful that over a longer period of time it will fix itself now that i am fully aware of this mistake but was just wondering if there are specific exercises to try to fix this.. and how much of a problem would this create in actual french conversation?

Personal history - volunteer experience.

Hi everyone,

I understand that we are required to put jobs that we are not claiming points for but how does volunteering fit in here?

I have two volunteer experiences. They were event volunteering so they lasted one day each.
Fully unpaid.

Am i required to put this under personal history?
