Question for GCs, where do YOU look for a same-day dumpster?

Based in Austin, running a small 15-yard and 30-yard dumpster side hustle. Been pulling leads manually from Google Maps and calling property managers, got hung up on 12 times yesterday before 10am.

Do those aggregated lead apps ever send fresh commercial requests, or just recycled data?

How do you filter out residential junk jobs if you only do construction waste?

Flat monthly fee vs per-lead, what’s less of a scam?

Ethical time tracking for remote teams. What works without breaking trust?

I manage a remote team of twelve people across the US and Europe. We bill clients by the hour, so accurate time tracking is necessary. But I have seen how bad time tracking can hurt team morale.

Here is what I have learned so far about ethical time tracking:

First, avoid screenshots and mouse tracking. That tells your team you do not trust them. Good people will leave.

Second, manual timesheets sound simple, but they fail. People forget. People guess. People round up or down. The data becomes useless for billing or capacity planning.

Third, the best approach seems to be lightweight automation. Something that runs in the background, captures time by project or task, and lets people adjust entries if needed. No spying. No alerts when someone steps away for coffee.

I have been testing a few different tools to see which one balances automation with ethics:

Toggl Track is popular but requires manual start and stop. People forget to turn it on.

Harvest integrates well with project management tools but still needs human input.

Clockify is free and simple, but reporting is basic and the interface feels old.

Timely uses AI to automatically log time based on calendar and activity, but it is expensive.

Traqq is lightweight, runs in the background, and does not take screenshots or track mouse movements. It also gives AI insights on work patterns without being creepy.

I am still in the testing phase and have not committed to any one tool. Each has tradeoffs between automation, privacy, cost, and accuracy.

For those of you running remote teams: What are you using for ethical time tracking? How do you balance accurate billing with team trust? Is there a tool I am missing that does this well

custody situation turning into a headache real fast

we tried to keep things “amicable” at first but yeah that lasted maybe 2 weeks. now it’s texts at 1am, random schedule changes, and suddenly there’s talk about court. kid is 7 so this stuff matters a lot and i don’t wanna mess it up. i called one office and they quoted something that felt insane for just starting. also not even sure if they handle suburban cases properly or just city stuff. does anyone know lawyers around chicago suburbs who actually specialize in custody and divorce, not just general law, and have decent feedback?

How do you even pick a builder?

Me and my partner are finally ready to pull the trigger but the amount of info out there is just too much. We’re leaning towards a new build because we’re not exactly "handy" people.

What should I even be looking for during a walkthrough? Is it better to go with a builder or look for something more "custom"? I’m lowkey terrified of making a massive mistake.

My divorce is turning into a total disaster and I’m way out of my depth. We can’t agree on what to do with the house or how to split the retirement accounts, and it’s getting ugly. Has anyone worked with a good lawyer ? I’m seeing so many names and it’s all just a blur while I'm trying to pack up my life.

Pretty sure I’ve been doing my financial planning all wrong. Every time I think I have a handle on my ROI or future savings, something breaks.

I'm tired of feeling like I'm just guessing. Anyone else deal with this or have a firm they trust?

Ex and I can't agree on custody so the judge ordered an evaluation. Starts in 3 weeks and I have no idea what to expect.

What happens in these things? I know someone comes to the house and interviews us separately, but what are they digging for? She's been planting seeds about me "prioritizing work" even though I'm home by 6pm most days and handle the entire morning routine.

Kids are 8 and 11. The evaluator talks to them too, right? How much does that influence things? My ex has been asking them leading questions like "don't you wish Dad was home more?" and it's making me paranoid.

I talked to Atticus Family Law during my initial consult and they explained the timeline, but I want to hear from people who've lived through this. How long did yours drag on?

Did what the evaluator recommended match what the judge ruled? Any red flags I should avoid or things that helped your case?
Just trying to get through this without losing my mind. Want my kids to come out okay on the other side.

▲ 1 r/Stress

I reached a point where stress became unbearable, and I realized I need professional help to get myself back on track.

The problem is that every time I look for a recovery center, I only find websites that feel like money-making machines built to profit from people’s desperation.

There’s a huge pressure to make the right decision because I can’t afford to drain my savings on a place that offers nothing more than an expensive vacation instead of real therapy.

Yesterday I was reading Reddit experiences from people who went through similar situations, and I saw someone talking about Legacy Healing Center and how they approach the recovery process.

I’m seriously thinking about reaching out to them in the next few days for an evaluation, but first I want to hear from others if that kind of financial investment is actually worth it.

How did you manage that paralyzing stress when choosing treatment without feeling like you were just another customer in a system focused only on profit?

Hey everyone. So i got into a pretty bad accident recently (not my fault, guy blew a red light) and i’m just overwhelmed with all the insurance calls. A friend told me to look into Simmons and Fletcher since they’re right here in houston and deal with this stuff a lot.

Has anyone here used them before? I just want someone who won’t ignore my emails for three weeks straight. Thoughts?

I was pulled over for a minor traffic violation in Chesterfield and the officer found a small amount of a controlled substance in my car. I have no prior record. This is my first offense. I cannot afford a private lawyer, but my family is willing to help if it will make a difference.

I spoke with a public defender and they seemed overwhelmed with cases. I am scared that I will end up with a felony on my record and lose my job.

Has anyone here used a private lawyer for a first time drug charge in Missouri? Was it worth the money compared to a public defender?

I called Frank & Juengel for a free consultation. Daniel Juengel answered the phone himself. He explained that a felony drug charge can affect my life for years, even as a first offense. He told me what steps he would take to try to keep it off my record. I decided to hire him. I will update after court.
