I’ve been in the process of joining law enforcement for about a year now, I passed the physical, entrance exams, got my pictures taken and fingerprints done.. just did my interview with the detective a couple days ago and he said out of 15 or so people he did that day I was the 3rd best one (I have minor stuff of my traffic record.. a couple peoples didn’t at all) and absolutely nothing on my criminal and we talked for about an hour when it came to off topic interview stuff. He seemed to really enjoy my company and like me and kept mentioning the academy to me. I ranked 97 out of 107 people who applied, not great, I know.. but 20/30 already got knocked out and the academy class will be 40/50 people this year he said.
I still have to get my medical stuff done in a couple weeks, psychological stuff too which can weed more people out and also be chosen by the panel. I have hopes, but I don’t want to have to much hope I’ll be one of those 40/50 people..
Given these odds and interview overview.. what would you say my chances are?
