Is it a good idea to apply for a job through company provided email?

A lot of companies provide emails to send resumes but I feel they don't check them. i am looking to switch and there is a company i am very much interested. should i send a mail to the designated email or connect with an employee working over there. I do know a person who works there we met briefly. would it be awkward if i reached out to this person?

How to actually find the right client?

Hello I am motion graphics artist who is currently working at a corporate company as their designer. I really want to leave but the thing is most job out there are similar. I know what kind of projects I want to do and the studios I want to work with a huge part of me wants to completely freelance! The thing is I don't know how the freelancing system. I tried fiverr, upwork and other such platform most of them lead to scammers and it is definitely not good for beginners.

I want to work for musicians. I think my style could be used in music videos, i want to work with museums or historians and make a show revolving around bizarre historical events. I don't know who to approach and honestly I don't know what to do. Whom should I email??

People will judge me for this but I know for a fact that I i cannot make a click bait work. It is not something I want to make. Who should I go to?

Showcasing projects on social media

Hello reddit!

I recently created a project that I plan to put in my portfolio. I will be uploading my animation on YouTube but I had a doubt regarding instagram. Should I be posting the whole animation on instagram or just bits and pieces of it?

As someone who is always on a look out for potential clients or people with similar interests, it makes sense to post it online. YouTube won't give me as much reach as instagram would but my project is in a different resolution and most people skipping long reels what should I do?

Is it a good idea to post your full personal project on instagram or not?

Hello reddit, I am a mixed media animation artist and recently, I created something. This is a personal project which i would be showing in my portfolio. It's a 45sec video. I am unsure if I should post it on instagram as well. As someone who is looking for new clients and people who do similar things it makes sense to post it on instagram. But should I post the whole animation or buts and pieces of it?
