What size to replace 2 27 inch?

What size UW monitor should I get to replace my 2 27inch monitors? One is 2k and the other 4k. I wanna switch to a hybrid laptop/pc setup so that I can connect my laptop with one cable (usb c with 65w charging if possible, and that it also connects my peripherals) for work/studying, and that I can use it with my pc for gaming/other stuff. Im based in europe and my budget would be up until 600ish euros, cheaper would be nicer but any recommendations are appreciated

€1,000–€1,600 laptop for Network & Systems Engineering — Netherlands

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE
Country
Netherlands
Budget
€1,000–€1,600, approximately $1,150–$1,850 USD.
Are you open to refurbs/used options?
Maybe, but I would prefer a new laptop because I want to use it for at least five to seven years.
Screen size
Preferably 15 to 16 inches. I may consider a 14-inch model if it offers significantly better portability and battery life.
Weight limit
Preferably no more than approximately 1.8 kg. Lighter would be better because I will carry it to university regularly.
Purpose
I will be starting a bachelor’s degree in Network & Systems Engineering. The laptop will mainly be used for university work, virtual machines, networking labs, programming, cybersecurity-related software and general everyday use.
Form factor
Standard clamshell laptop. I do not need a touchscreen, pen support or a 2-in-1 design.
Intended usage
I expect to use applications and software such as:
VMware Workstation or VirtualBox
Windows Server virtual machines
Linux virtual machines
Cisco Packet Tracer
GNS3 or EVE-NG
Wireshark
Visual Studio Code
PowerShell and Python
Docker and possibly Kubernetes
Network and cybersecurity tools
Microsoft Office
Many browser tabs and applications at the same time
I may need to run several virtual machines simultaneously, so good virtualisation performance and at least 32 GB of RAM are important.
Gaming performance is not a major priority because I already have a desktop PC for gaming. A dedicated GPU is therefore not necessary.
Desired battery life
At least eight hours of realistic light university use. Around ten hours or more would be preferable.
I understand that running multiple virtual machines will reduce the battery life considerably.
Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life
Performance, battery life, weight, size.
I want enough performance for several virtual machines, but I also need something portable enough to carry to university regularly.
Info/Requirements
The recommended specifications provided by my university are:
Intel Core i7/i9 or AMD Ryzen 7, preferably from 2024 or newer
32 GB RAM
1 TB SSD
Windows 11
At least a Full HD display
HDMI
At least two USB ports
A physical RJ45 Ethernet port or a reliable USB-C Ethernet adapter
Good support for Windows and Linux virtualisation
My preferred configuration is:
Modern Intel Core Ultra 7 or AMD Ryzen 7/Ryzen AI 9 processor
32 GB RAM
1 TB NVMe SSD
Windows 11
Good keyboard and build quality
Reliable Wi-Fi
HDMI
Multiple USB ports
Preferably a built-in RJ45 Ethernet port
Upgradeable RAM and storage would be a bonus
No ARM/Snapdragon processor because I want maximum compatibility with virtualisation and networking software
I was considering the ASUS Zenbook S 16 with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 465, 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD. It is lightweight, has a large 83 Wh battery and seems excellent for portability.
However, it has soldered RAM, only one USB-A port and no built-in RJ45 Ethernet port. I would therefore need to use a USB-C Ethernet hub.
Would the Zenbook still be a sensible choice for this degree, or would a business laptop with built-in Ethernet and upgradeable RAM be more reliable and practical?
I am also considering laptops from these ranges:
Lenovo ThinkPad E, L or T series
Lenovo ThinkBook
ASUS ExpertBook
HP ProBook or EliteBook
Dell Latitude
Which specific models and configurations would you recommend? Are there particular processors, laptop series or configurations I should avoid?

Laptop recommendations for a Network & Systems Engineering bachelor?

Hi everyone,
I’ll be starting a bachelor’s degree in Network & Systems Engineering soon, and I’m looking for a laptop that will comfortably last me for a while.
The recommended specifications from my university are:
Intel Core i7/i9 or AMD Ryzen 7, preferably from 2024 or newer
32 GB RAM
1 TB SSD
Windows 11
At least a 15 inch Full HD display
HDMI
At least two USB ports
A physical RJ45 Ethernet port, or reliable support through a USB-C adapter
Good virtualisation support for Windows and Linux virtual machines

I expect to use software such as VMware or VirtualBox, Windows Server, Linux, network simulation tools and possibly cybersecurity software.
I was considering the ASUS Zenbook S 16 with:
AMD Ryzen AI 9 465
32 GB DDR5 RAM
1 TB SSD

It looks excellent for portability and battery life, but it does not have a built in RJ45 port, only one USB-A port. Would this still be a good choice if I use a USB C ethernet hub, or would you recommend a laptop with built in ethernet and upgradeable RAM?
I’m currently considering models from the following ranges:
Lenovo ThinkPad E or T series
Lenovo ThinkBook
ASUS ExpertBook
HP ProBook or EliteBook
Dell Latitude

My priorities are reliability, good battery life, enough performance for multiple VMs, portability and a laptop that can last at least five to seven years.
My budget is around €1,000–€1,600, and I’m buying in the Netherlands.
Which specific models or configurations would you recommend? Are there any models or processor types I should avoid?

Network/Security Engineer opportunities in Jeddah?

Like the title says, how are the opportunities for these careers in saudi arabia? Like Jeddah. Im currently in a university bachelors for network systems engineering in the netherlands, and I have a college degree for Network Administration. And I’m thinking of moving to Saudi Arabia after 1/2 years of getting some experience in my field. I have lots of family that lives in KSA, most of them live in jeddah and also a few in riyadh from my dads side. I have turkish/uzbek roots and I was hoping to move there because of how welcome the country has made me feel with the times I visited, and with lots of family that lives there I was thinking it might be a good idea aswell since I know people who live there and have acquaintances next to family aswell. Thankyou in advance

Stopped talking to someone for the sake of Allah swt, how can I work harder towards marrying this person?

I’m feeling a bit hopeless here, and I would appreciate any help I can get. Like the title says, I and the person both decided it was best to stop talking to eachother for the sake of Allah. It was for the best and we both saw this coming for a while but it still really, REALLY hurts. I still want to marry this person and ask their family for their hand. We both live in different countries (Alhamdullilah countries with good opportunities regarding education and career.). We were very close for 5+ years and yesterday we stopped for the sake of Allah. What steps can I take to go to this persons country and ask for their hand in marriage? The person has requirements that will possibly take years to achieve (we are both university students), but I would still like to ask their hand, and make it halal. Maybe only get engaged and have our families be able to know eachother in the time it takes for me to achieve the requirements to marry this person. Any and all tips are very very appreciated.

Thankyou and may Allah swt bless all of you in shaa allah.

Worth getting a student place?

As the title says, is it worth getting a room/independent room for me as a student because I’ll be studying in delft. And the journey is give or take about 1.5 hours each way from where I currently reside

HBO enough to work internationally?

I’m a dutch student. Like the title says, would a HBO bachelor degree be enough to get good work internationally and live/move to another country? Or would it be better to go do a pre master and then a WO master, let’s say at TU Delft? Because I’m not sure if other countries would consider a university of applied sciences degree enough… I’m sure it also depends on what bachelor I do. I’m doing Network Systems Engineering and I’m planning to do something either with Computer Engineering or Cyber security afterwards if it’s better than experience in the international community
