I don’t think the Pacers were wrong to make that trade for Zubac. It was just a high risk high reward situation that didn’t pan out for them

It obviously sucks for them that they tanked for no reason this year but I like the aggression from them and it’s the type of move that sometimes yields incredible results. They desperately needed a decent center after losing Turner, and there aren’t any in this draft or in free agency this year. The top 4 picks were all guys you could easily pair with Halliburton too, but after that it’s mostly point guards whom they obviously don’t need. Had they not made that trade then they’re probably looking at either drafting Wagler/acuff/flemings or trading down
