USMNT are the UCLA football of international soccer

-Both have a long history of being mediocre to average. US had one good run in 2002 to the quarterfinals, UCLA had one season in the late 90s where they made the rose bowl

-Are known for being good at pretty much Every sport besides football/soccer

-In an area that has tons of talent locally, but players choose other sports/schools

-Have all the resources to be good, but still can’t put it together

-no one in LA really gives a shit about UCLA football, and most people in US don’t care a lot about soccer
