My first new car!

New Car!! 26 SL!

My car got totaled a month ago, and it really came down to the Kia K4 or the Sentra because both of these interiors are so nice but the Sentra was just too good a deal to pass up, $27.8K OTD. ( Nissan of Mckinney, hit up Justin E ). Anyway, I've had this car 2 days now put 200 miles on it and I'm loving it I call this my budget Lexus cuz that 2 tone beige blue interior, coming from a Mazda 3 the NVH is much better than my old 3, the audio is crisp, and I love how the cabin looks at night, ( and don't get me started on propilot I use that shit everywhere ). This car is just too good a deal to pass up....$27.8K OTD and you get Heated seats, heated steering wheel, 360 Cam, hands off driving, Walk away and approach lighting animations ( one of my fav things about the car ), two tone beige / blue interior with some of the comfiest seats my butt has ever touched, and all the app stuff. I genuinely can't believe this was still under $30K, the K4 GT Line Turbo w Tech Pkg the cheapest I kept finding were $32-33K. I was worried about the CVT and the 150HP, but honestly it doesn't feel as slow as I thought. It's no Ferrari, and it really loves to just cruise at 75-77mph, but it'll pass no problem just don't be scared to wake her up! Overall though, absolutely loving this car, no regrets, I keep having to tell myself ( This is a Sentra? The Sentra is the cheap econobox rental.... Not this upscale thing ). I'm thinking eventually though I'd wanna get the SR bits ( the spoiler, diffuser, SR wheels ) then I'd have the SR look and SL luxury appointments. I also need names for her so far the only one I have is Lily cuz she White on white but if anyone has name ideas lmk! Also if anyone has any tips / tricks / hidden features about the car, lmk! I'm excited to get to know this car. Also sidebar, I love the steering wheel. Looks so nice

US Spec MK8 GTI Buying Advice

Hello All!!

I'm looking to join the GTI community, and I've found a 2022 GTI Autobahn with 58K miles with the Palmero Yellow Metallic. I've got them at $23.8K OTD cash rn. Some questions ....

  1. Is there anything obvious MK8 specific I should look for? The cars Carfax documents 3 previous owners ( 1 lease and 2 personal ) , oil changes consistent every 5K miles, the 10K, 49K, and 60K maintenance services completed, new tires and brakes as of 3 months ago, Steering wheel replaced and it looks like the AC system or Radiator system replaced as well. Most of the work was done at a VW dealer in Utah. Does the 3 owners raise any concerns, anything to look out for
  2. I'll be driving the car back 1200 miles. What tests should I do to put the car through its paces? Anything to watch out for or be wary of??
  3. I plan on getting a PPI done at a local Volkswagen dealer, what things should I ask them to check for?
  4. Is this a good deal? It's near the end of 2026 and this is gonna be a soon 5 year old car with 58K miles. I understand it's a GTI but.... Would y'all take this?
  5. Building off of point 4, have any of y'all in here have MK8s past 100K miles? Has it been good to ya? Any owners in here that are 2bd or 3rd or even 4th owners? Cars been good to ya? How's the general reliability of these cars as they approach these higher miles? Any insight would be awesome.
  6. any other insight I should know about these cars??

I've always wanted one and on paper this looks well taken care of

Rip MZ3, she totaled??

Like the title says, I was unfortuhnatly involved in a collision with my MZ3 . I was travvling northbound in the right lane, when a Bronco ahead of me was exiting a lik shopping center. He crossed infront and turned into the left lane (i was still aways behind him ). I was doing bout 30-35mph, he never accelerated so I caught up to him. When the front of my car was almost next to the back of his, he hit his brakes flipped the indicator on, and turned right.... right into me. He claims he was trying to turn right into the shopping center next to the one he turned out of and he didnt see me. I inpacted his fat oversixed right front tire and glanced off it sending me over a curb which (violently ) blew out my tire, glanced off a utility pole and came to rest in the parking lot. His bronco is fucked too, when I slammed into his tire the force of it basically shattered and broke everything in his front end, tried turning the wheels and nothing. No airbags. Yall think its Totaled???? Im so sad i really really loved this car
