.. I usually love Publix bakery items, especially the bar cakes, so maybe I got a bad one, but the Chocolate Overload bar cake seriously disappointed me. The frosting tasted incredibly cheap and waxy, almost like sugary shortening instead of real chocolate frosting. The cake itself was fine, but the topping had that artificial “plastic chocolate” aftertaste. For something called “Chocolate Overload,” I expected rich bakery flavor, not something that tasted mass-produced and overly sweet. Anyone else notice this lately?
