First timer.
Sent my first watch off to Dom. Does he normally send updates? Like if he received the watch, or when he starts to work on your watch? Or is it quiet until he sends pics of it finished?

Father passed this to me this weekend. Still in a bit of shock. I knew it would be mine someday but didn’t think I would get it while he was still healthy and alive. But he told me that he want to be able to see me enjoy it.
Rolex 1675 from 1978( based on the 5million serial number).
Taking it in to have it appraised for insurance. Then probably have it serviced since it has not been touched since 1996.
I’m sure I’m in the minority but love this configuration
I myself went 0-17 on attempts. Which counting back the past two sales makes me 0-61. But got to keep shooting. If anyone shot blind and didn’t want the watch let me know.
Generally curious, but people talk about wait times and having to build a relationship and spend history with an AD. Then people saying screw it and went gray market. Wouldn’t buying a CPO kind of cover both? Going gray and building history?
Yes I am aware the CPO prices are a little above gray.
This 1675/3. This is a Gen from 1973. A stunning piece. This is a CPO at my local AD. 18k is the asking price. Watch looks great except the band looks new. Otherwise it’s a stunner.
Grateful for so many things. But this group of watch enthusiasts is awesome to share great timepieces.
