Looking for a Shopify-savvy VA to help me knock out a handful of backend tasks for an e-commerce brand. Mostly light technical/setup work: minor CSS/theme tweaks, analytics + Meta tracking, app integrations, Pinterest setup, and helping build the basic structure for a simple mix-and-match product flow.

I’ll handle all the creative/design, I’m looking for someone who knows their way around Shopify and can efficiently handle the technical bits that make me want to throw my laptop out a window.

Hello all of you beautiful humans,

Long story short, i’m living in New York City and I’ve had enough. I used to live in Europe and would really like to move back. The only caveat is that while I’ve been here in New York, I’ve been building a product based e-commerce business and I’m just about ready to launch.

I know a 3PL is an option as far as packing and shipping orders here in the US, but for a brand new baby business, I’m not sure if that’s financially the right way to go.

The Visa, taxes, all of that super simple and is far less anxiety-inducing than this issue. I’m worried that by making this move, I’m potentially stifling what I believe will be a hit.

My background is in brand building and marketing, so all of the content, creative, design, etc. Can be done from anywhere in the world, but I would essentially be skipping the “packing orders in my kitchen” phase, and I’m not sure if that’s the right thing to do.

Does anyone else have experience with this or possibly some guidance?

So long story short: I was engaged to an abusive man, and last year I left. I started completely over and within a few months finally started to have the energy to begin to execute my business idea. This idea was with me for years but I just could not put much energy into it, everything went into the relationship.

Anyway, I’m finally out and while the business has not yet launched, supply chain has been sorted, my first batch of inventory is here and I’ve already gotten a small angel investment in about eight months.

The business is product-based and the original plan was to start selling DTC here in the US.

Now here’s the kicker, prior to this relationship, I was in the middle of moving overseas, to France specifically. I ended up canceling my visa and essentially throwing away all of my plans because I decided to get involved with this person. It is what it is, lesson learned.

I’m currently living in New York, which is where I’m from, and I’ve really come to see in the past year that I don’t want to live in New York City anymore. It’s not a healthy place, I can’t stay here for the sake of my mental health and nervous system. I really want to move back to Europe, that’s where I feel the most at home and most like myself.

I have this business that I’ve not yet launched, but I’m very close to the finish line and I’m not really sure how to navigate the logistical component of shipping and packing orders at this very early stage if I’m living in another country.

Is there anyone out there who has some experience of this firsthand, or possibly even some guidance?

Of course I know I could find a warehouse, but it’s such an early stage. I don’t feel that that’s wise.

I am a born and raised New Yorker, and with the exception of one year living in London, my 38 year old self is ready to relocate away from NYC. Ultimately the goal is to move back to somewhere in Europe, but I've just started a business that I feel requires my physical presence here for a few more years.

I am single, have two plush boy cats, and while New York has everything at every time and is technically my homeland, I have had enough. My nervous system cannot handle one more siren or random 3 am sidewalk fight, or cheeseburger thrown at my head (true story).

Professionally I am a marketing executive and an adjunct professor, and can work remotely.

Originally I was considering Savannah but apparently the crime has increased so significantly, and then I thought perhaps California (I adore the Spanish-style historic homes). I don't know if I would be happy living in complete Suburbia, it may be a bit like The Shining for me, so proximity to human life and adult human men would be ideal. Somewhere where I could meet friends and develop a small social circle. My only real preference is the weather, no more snow ever, EVER.

Any thoughts on other places I should consider?

I am planning to move to Savannah in September and I am in need of a home. I am looking for something in the historic district (but open to other areas), preferably an entire townhome with original details with 2+ bedrooms and outdoor space. I am not looking for an apartment.

I am open to buying or renting but I haven't found anything that has caught my attention. Is there anyone out there in the Reddit Savannah universe who has a friend/parent/sister's goldfishe's boyfriend who is looking to sublet/rent/sell?
