6 days after my ACDF C5 and C6

Hey everyone,

I've put up a few posts over the last month while preparing for my surgery, and now here I am, 6 days post-op.

A lot of the stories and advice on here helped me going into it, so I thought I'd return the favour. If anyone is waiting for surgery, worried about it, or just curious about the recovery process, feel free to ask me anything.

I'm obviously still early in my recovery, but I'm happy to share my experience so far—the good, the bad, and the boring!

Hope everyone is doing well

35M Day 4 of spinal surgery recovery. I've already run out of things to do.

Hey everyone,

I'm currently recovering from spinal surgery and on day 4 I've discovered that recovery is going to be pretty boring.

I've got around 6–8 weeks of recovery ahead of me and, from the sounds of it, a lot of time on my hands. So I thought I'd see if anyone fancies chatting about hobbies, gaming, tabletop games, books, films, creative projects, or whatever else.

If you're bored, looking for someone to bounce ideas off, or just fancy a chat with a random bloke who's currently stuck on the sofa, feel free to drop me a message.

Got a ACDF at C5-C6 on Monday. What do I need to buy to help me through this ?

I've been reading a lot of posts here about ACDF fusions and the recovery process. To be honest, the long recovery isn't something I'm looking forward to, but it needs to be done, so here I am.

I've seen people recommend things like straws, supportive pillows, and other items to make the first few weeks a bit easier. So far, I've bought a small table that fits over the sofa so I can comfortably use my laptop while recovering.

What other things did you find helpful during recovery? Was there anything you bought beforehand that made a real difference?

30 images is your limit ?

I just waited 24+ hours to get my limit back.
I just generated 30 images and now I've hit my max limit and have to wait 24hours again!?

I noticed that when I was doing image edits, instead of the normal 2 it does at a time, it was only doing 1 at a time.

This must have been the change they were working on last night. I'm not paying for the $99 upgrade, they can fuck off. I've seen people leaving and I just cancelled mine too. 30 images is a joke for £30 a month.
