Update on CBDT Allocation and Joining Process
1 You will not receive any emails immediately. You will only be contacted regarding the Document Verification (DV) process once a specific zone has been officially allocated to you.
2.You will receive a formal letter on official website of income tax specifying the dates for filling out your preference form. This letter will include a link to the online portal where you must submit your choice
3.Be prepared for potential delays in the allocation process this time. It is expected to move slowly, so try to remain patient. The preference forms mentioned above are likely to be released in 10–15 days. Currently, no official work regarding allocation has started at CBDT, as the dossiers (both soft and hard copies) are expected to arrive next week.
4. Once the allocation is finalized, your respective zone will contact you via email and phone. They will provide all necessary formats for the DV and Medical examination, along with the scheduled dates.
5. While joining dates may vary by a day or two across different zones, the appointment letters are expected to be distributed on the same day. According to current updates, CBDT will be conducting the Rozgar Mela for this cycle.
