My father is often in the hospital or at rehab centers away from home, would the Portal be usable at those locations? He has a PS5

Title pretty much says it all. They aren't very well off so I provide a lot of the games for him by sharing my account or "buying the game because I want it" and letting him play it. I dont want to invest $300 if it won't work or barely work. I have looked into the product info and it says you have to be on your "home internet" but other things say its just any wifi network. So I guess my real question is how does it actually work? Can he use it anywhere with wifi easily? He is older and not tech inclined so Im hoping its a simple process.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Car Won't Start but has passed Battery Test and Alternator Test

I have a 2000 Buick Park Avenue. For the last 2 weeks I've had trouble starting it. I've had to use my capacitor to jumpstart it most times with some exceptions. I thought it may be the battery even though it's 14 months old, or the alternator but had both tested at Autozone and they both passed. So I thought maybe because I live in NYC and dont end up on the highway it was the battery not getting charged properly. So I got a charger for it, charged it overnight (it had a setting to stop and not overcharge), it ready 12.6volts and I put it back in the car today, tried to start it, click click click from the starter nothing. Put the jumpstart on it and it started up fine. The starter is about 2 years old and from ACDelco that I put on myself

Any idea what this can be? I thought it might be parasitic drain but after the no-start this morning on a fully charged battery Im worried its something else.

Thanks for all the help in advance!

If you were hardwiring to your car which fuse would you wire into?

I was putting the wire that doesn’t get constant power at 10A HUD and the cont power at 10A SBM but after 6 months I am getting parasitic drain. My kit is from cool crazy and doesn’t seem to have a switch to adjust voltage cutoff even though it says it has one.

It’s a 2000 Buick park avenue.

Thank you, any help is appreciated as I’m about to go on a long trip in this car and need to fix soon!

What’s the best fastener to hold a loft bed for 2 adults being fastened into plaster covering brick?

I am building a queen sized loft bed for me and my girlfriend. We live in a rent controlled (meaning we can stay forever) apartment in nyc. The building is 100 years old and we have 2 weird boxes of plaster I’ve since learned are covered up fireplaces.

I am looking to put our loft bed into two walls, one of which is that box. I am also going to use legs to support it but want to maximize the stability of the loft.

I tried tapcons but they were too short to get through the 2x6s and plaster and into the brick. I know there is brick by both me drilling small holes and seeing it and the other identical box has my tv mounted to it. On the tv I used tapcons but it’s much lighter than 2 people.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance, pics attached

Hey there!

I'm a somewhat new to building things with my own wood. I'm a professional handyman so I have skills that have some crossover and feel confident I can build a Queen Sized loft bed for me and my girlfriend.

Today I went to a local Lumber yard (in NYC) to price out what I need. I figured I would need 8x 2x6x8ft and I would need 12x 2x6x10ft pieces surfaced on all sides to make this happen. They had Poplar and I thought that would be a good chouce. I would cut them to size myself. It came out to $1,326.18 not including delivery. That seemed really really high. Is that reasonable and I just dont know anything? I've attached the pic of the register. Thank you for your help in advance, there is a very good chance I'm just an idiot and don't understand wood pricing but wanted to double check
