I’m thinking about starting a new public subreddit specifically for Arabic-speaking moderators to connect and share serious safety concerns across communities. I’m already in touch with mods from several major Arabic communities, so there’s definitely enough interest to keep it active and useful.

The Arabic side of Reddit can be difficult to moderate consistently because harmful content is often written in Arabic or local dialects, which can make violations harder to catch or report effectively. This has led to some genuinely dangerous behavior slipping through, including targeted harassment, hate speech, scams, and other severe misconduct.

The core idea is to have a space where mods (or users) can flag severe misconduct, like targeted harassment, hate speech, or scams, complete with links to evidence.

​To be absolutely clear: this wouldn't involve any automated bans, shared ban lists, or obligations to act. The goal is just to raise awareness. Mods from different subreddits would review the posts independently and decide for themselves whether to take action within their own communities.

​Before going ahead with this, I want to make sure it's 100% compliant with Reddit's rules.

​Would a concept like this breach the Content Policy or the Moderator Code of Conduct?

​Could it be misinterpreted as coordinated harassment or witch-hunting, even if it’s strictly informational and independent?

I’d appreciate any advice, especially from mods who have tried something similar.

Hello,

I attempted to request r/AskIraq, but the automatic response states that the subreddit was "only recently banned" and is therefore not eligible for request.

However, when I checked the subreddit through Old Reddit, it indicates that the community has been banned for approximately five months. My understanding of the r/RedditRequest rules is that banned communities become eligible for request after 30 days.

Could someone please clarify whether there is another restriction affecting this subreddit, or if the eligibility status may need to be reviewed?
