So for anyone who has a hard time bleeding your brakes after replacing parts. I replaced the front calipers, lines, master cylinder and brake booster. I was only able to get a solid pedal, under pressure and with the engine off, soon as the engine started it would fail and loose pressure. I was told to try to bleed it at the abs pump when doing the bled procedure with ISTA. In other words dont open the bleeder at the caliper each time you activate the abs in ista, you crack the corresponding line leading to the wheel ista is cycling the silinoid for.

Well after 2 weeks I finally got all the air out.

😩 I swear last week when we bled the brakes it was solid no air. Now the first time i try to drive it the pedal started kind of hard then went to early stopping the car. I thank God its a manual.

So anyone got an idea? Maybe there was air stuck in the abs pump that came out when the car finally rolled and the car bounced and moved around? Or is it a nightmare and after just replacing the master cylinder could it be the brake booster?

Oh also its affecting vacumn, (thats what kind of makes me think booster) because I also got a stumble and rough idle, but no codes. 🤷‍♂️

Well just sat her on the ground and she went low.. 🤣 She is a little lower than I thought. Time to adjust these B16s.

In the last 2 weeks I have came across and over came more problems than I have the entire 7 months of this project. My current LCI update on the interior has taken a few different turns. First we were keeping the original single button controller so I didnt have to cut my console out. But it ended not working and after a fee days of trying everything today I cut the console to fit the 7 button controller. This also screwed up my interior trim, I have to do some re wrapping now and I think I want to order some stiching and try that. Here are some photos from just the last few days I tossed into a vid. Cant wait to finalize the paint. 💪🙏

So I diagnosed a problem to be the master cylinder and now that I have it delivered I'm getting ready to install it and I happen to notice my ABS pump might be leaking. Is this what an ABS pump looks like when it leaks and is dead?

So I didnt realize till now that the SMG shifter bezel does not fit into the standard e60 LCI trim when upgrading from CCC to CIC. The 2010 bmw e60 M5 is the only one that came with the CIC idrive controller and the SMG shifter bezel. So they are hard to find. Wondering with all the 3d printed parts and how hard it is to find for the guys with a Pre-Lci car thats upgrading to the LCI parts. Would be great if someone already has a solution. I even wrapped the standard lci trim already. That was probably 20$ of Alcantara I wasted. 😮‍💨 I was going to install my CIC setup yesterday untill i seen this. Talk about feeling stupid. Im getting better at wrapping Alcantara 🤷‍♂️

I have been restoring an M5 over the last 5 months. I had the front calipers off for 4 of those months. Now that I have refilled the system even using ista I cant get out the air. I have tried the pressure bleeder set at 2 bar.. still couldn't get it out. When the engine runs, the pedal falls to the floor and never gets a hard pedal, when its off either. Tried both vacumn and pressure... someone suggested to crack the breeders open and let gravity do its thing overnight. But I see possible problems there.

I am suprised at how thick the nap is (I thick thats what that part is called) The more im in here working the more i like it.

So i installed my home made Alcantara trim, I tried to match the Alcantara headliner the car came with, I got really close ( the rest is LCI trim and I need to swap it over ) The trim the car came with was ruined by an ignorant previous owner) Ignore the bad photo quality these were taken in low light.

I have seen alot of intake insulation in motorsports, its gotta have an affect so I figured I would give it a shot and see what my IATs will be like this way, the more heat it reflects away for as long as possible the better.

Be cautious if this ebayer! He selles bmw parts for e60s, I purchased 900$ refurbished headlights and it was a disaster. Here's why.

My fault for not checking on these sooner, but I didnt install them for about 3 months I had purchased them put them in my room and I only had opened them and glanced at them they were wrapped in plastic they look new-ish to me I was my fault it was a busy day fast forward 3 months now I go to install them on my car I open them up and they are in terrible shape they the glue is horribly done there isn't even a seal going all the way around the headlights. the passenger side headlight is broken and the mount that was supposed to be that they tried to glue back on wasn't even from that headlight it was from a driver's side headlight.

I tried to contact him and didn't ask for a refund in fact I just asked if I could replace my one that was broken. He told me that hey it's past 30 days I have no reason to give you any money back so tough luck I asked him again several more times and then I did contact PayPal and they told me because it was past 30 days there's nothing that they could do either so knowing that he doesn't support his remanufactured or refurbished Parts because he then tells me they get these beat up headlights in and replace the lens and resell them at a five times profit telling people these are fully refurbished when they're not they just have new lenses put on them.

So anyways this is my fault for waiting so long to install them but it's a project car and it took that long to get to the point to where I could get to the headlights you know so just want to send caution to the wind keep an eye out for this ebayer he will screw you over if you have any issues I'm just telling you now this guy the way he talked to me was horrible and then on top of it threatening to report me if I speak about this to anybody so what am I going to do I'm going to speak about it.

Well its been a couple weeks which have moved incredibly slow due to shipping errors and part supply problems. But now its actually resembling a car again.

I have to say that im very impressed with the quality of materials used by Valvetronic.

She is going to scream. 💪

Got a nice delivery this afternoon. No matter what my day is like, when I come home to sneakers I no longer care. Lol

*06 M5 purchased as a project car end of last year. So everything is unknown to me at this point* This is the hinge in my trunk, the wiring going up into the hinge going to the trunk release and reverse lights etc. I discovered this while installing my B16s.

Every one of us that has had an E-Series knows how poor the shielding is on the wiring and how brittle it becomes over time. In this case though the wiring has been cut and some are connected to different color wires. (For example the purple and orange wire in photo 1) What reason other than wires touching and shorting out would they have for doing this? Im considering the possibility of maybe they had electrical issues and tore into this found an issue and were just very very bad at repairs. Or maybe I bought a car with lots of electrical gremlins. 😫

Just picked them up this weekend, they are everything I was told they are. Not over hyped at all

Again im told they are DS i think they might have been worn maybe had some shoes covers on and cleaned really really good. But im not positive.
