Hey everyone,

I’m having a medical procedure soon that’s going to keep me on strict bed rest for about a week. I made a post about grabbing an Open-Box from Best Buy on the 2TB/64GB model.

Since I’ll be spending 100% of my time lying down or propped up on pillows, I’m looking for gear and setup recommendations to make using the Z13 as comfortable and seamless as possible in bed.

A few specific questions for the community:

1. Mounts vs. Lap Desks: Has anyone used a heavy-duty arm mount or floor stand to hover the Z13 over the bed at eye level, or is a foldable bed tray/desk with legs a better option? I am assuming bed tray/desk is best.
2. Kickstand comfort: I’ve heard the kickstand can dig in if placed directly on your lap. What’s the best way to keep it stable without straining your neck or legs?

Ultimately, I plan to prop it up and use a wireless controller for gaming.

Would love to see photos or hear about any bed/couch setups that have worked for you. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone ever get a weird guilt streaming their desktop (or use of GeforceNow) to a portable handheld?

Recently got a Claw EX and love it for local performance when not streaming. However, there are times when I want even more performance and want to save some battery, so I stream to it. Then I’m thinking, why do I have an $1700 device when I can stream to my tablet just fine….

Anyone else ever feel this way with your handhelds?

I must say, I am generally impressed with XeSS, both its upscaling and frame gen.

I have generally been against any frame gen over the 2x. However, after listening to some on here and listening to reviews, decided to try Black Flag Remake with XeSS FG x3 and I could not tell a difference at all from native.

Having tried FSR in the past with FrameGen on the Z2E left me disappointed but the tech in XeSS has been great.

Excited to see what the future brings.

This was on the Ex Claw but assuming the other Intel versions are similar.

Hey Claw Owners - Quick question, I have the Battery Preservation (80%) setting enabled. Is it normal that it drops down to 72% without charging back up to 80% when plugged in?

This is happening on my EX.

Anyone having some good luck with Red Dead Redemption 2 and hitting higher frames on their EX Claw? I used the same settings from my Xbox Ally X but instead using Optiscaler and only getting 47ish FPS. With the Intel Framegen it’s 94. This is maxed out TDP and CPU boost enabled

Finally able to run a few games through the paces on the Claw 8 AI EX, have tried Warframe, Dead Space Remake, Persona 5, and Diablo 4.

All of them besides Persona had random drops that were almost jarring. Warframe and Diablo 4 were able to run close to 120 frames but would randomly drop to 55 or so every few moments.

Dead Space Remake didn’t run well at all which is not too surprising as it doesn’t even run that well on a PC and has a lot of shader compilation or texture loading…

I tried all three modes including AI, Endurance, and Manual…same thing. Some of the reviews had mention the 1% drops being bad and maybe that’s it.

Anyone else?

For those of you who were lucky enough to grab one, how are you protecting the device?

Cases and third-party accessories were somewhat hard to come by for the original Claw(s), so I assume it may be tough to find a case.

Also, for those of you who purchased at Microcenter, is the extended warranty worth it?

I have been really impressed with the audio on the XAX. However, after the most recent set of updates, I have noticed the audio seems very “flat” and sometimes distorted. As an example, I was playing Pragmata and when you shoot a gun, there is almost no bass. It’s odd and happens with other games.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, no luck. The issue happens with and without headphones.

Anyone else have similar issues?
