Online MSc in Simulation Based Education/MA Education?

Hi everyone.

I completed my BSc four years ago, and am now looking at completing my masters. This will have to be done via distance learning as I work full time and cannot afford to drop hours. Does anybody have any experience with doing this? Particularly at University of Staffordshire, as I'm hoping to enrol there to study MSc Simulation Based Education.

I understand that this is very specific though, so my other option was just to study an MA in Education to make it more broad. On that note, if anybody has any experience of completing their postgrad in Education, has it helped you get to where you want to be? Is there any particular university you would recommend for this particular online MA?

Thanks in advance!

Online Masters degrees in the UK - experiences?

Hey! Does anybody have experience with online masters degrees in the UK, and if so could you share your thoughts?

I want to begin my Masters in September/October and have spoken with various UK universities, and was going to accept an offer from Keele. However, I've just read somebody else's experience of this university's online offering and it has thrown a spanner in the works.

Fort context, I plan on studying an MA in Education and already work at another university in a teaching role. Thanks.

MSc Systems Thinking in Practice

Hi everyone!

I currently work in nursing education at a university and I’m interested in beginning my masters.

This course stood out to me and I was wondering if anyone has any feedback on it? Was it interesting? What did you choose career wise? Any feedback is welcome! ☺️

Subtle gothic/alternative makeup ideas?

Does anybody have any inspo pics for very subtle goth/emo makeup for my wedding? I don’t want a full face of white makeup, but would still like something slightly alternative. Every photo I see online is a bit too extreme for my taste. Bonus if it’s your own makeup!

For reference, my hair is going to be a cherry red colour and the colour theme is dark red and black. Got my trial at the end of the month ☺️

No Bleach London - Vivid Red (before & after)

I’ve been dying my hair for the past 20 years, and have been almost every colour imaginable. I asked for some advice on here earlier in the week about which colour I could put over my hair which I had just used Colour B4 Ultimate on.

I initially tried NBL Vivid Pink, but look at the disastrous results 😂 I had bright pink roots and underneath layers, but dark orange top layers. Disaster!

So instead I went for Vivid Red and it turned out great. Very vibrant, especially in the sun. The only thing is that from my experience, similar colours have washed out back to orange within about 4 washes. I’m going to try and keep it topped up somehow if anyone has any recommendations!

Which fashion colours could I put over this?

Hi everyone. I’ve always been a dark purple/plum colour but fancied a change. Put a box of Colour B4 on and ended up with this.

Which colours could I realistically dye my hair from this? Hoping for something fun and noticeable. I put a brighter purple over this colour previously and it ended up muddy brown and looked horrible.

Are there any colours other than red that would work? I’ve tried Bleach London’s Cherry Red (permanent) before and it washed out back to orange within seven washes. Would love something that just didn’t come out the colour of mud!

Advice on hair products for straight, frizzy hair?

Hi all!

I’m looking for advice on which products I should buy to help with a few different things.

So, a bit about my hair - it’s super straight and won’t hold a curl for longer than a few hours, it gets greasy within a day, and it’s also very frizzy. These are the things I’m trying to combat all at once!

Which products should I buy to achieve this? Looking at something to buy that I can put on wet hair before styling, which will involve blow drying then curling. I want something that will help it look smooth, sleek and non-frizzy. Any ideas? UK based would be great as I’m looking to go out and buy something today.

Thanks, a very stressed girly 🤷🏻‍♀️

First dance song help!

I appreciate that this may be an over-discussed topic, but I’ve looked at other posts and still can’t decide!

Basically, myself and my husband to-be are not soppy people. The idea of slow-dancing to a song with everyone looking at us makes us want to curl up into a ball and hide, so all the traditional first dance songs don’t suit us.

Can you give us some recommendations? We both like rock music, we don’t want something with a specific dance routine, and we don’t mind something silly. I also love Eurovision and toyed with the idea of Per Sempre Si, but I don’t think he’s a fan 😂

Come on people of Reddit, give me a lightbulb moment!!

What is the best canned/bottled cold coffee in the UK?

I have searched far and wide, and tried many different canned/bottled coffees but cannot seem to find one I like. I’m looking for one that doesn’t just taste of milk and sugar, but not an americano. Specifically looking for a latte/flat white and can be cows milk or oat milk.

So far, I have tried the following brands:

- Jimmy’s
- Starbucks
- Barista Coffee Co (yuck)
- Emmi
- Arctic Coffee

The problem is, they’re all way too sweet! The sweetness totally overwhelms any flavour of coffee. The best I’ve tried so far is Jimmy’s, but it’s still too sweet. I don’t mind buying things online either. Let me know please and thank you 🙏

Hey! I’m a registered nurse and work as a Tutor at a local university. I’m wanting to further my career and become a Lecturer, however understandably, the posts want you to have masters level study in education (or willing to work towards).

I work a Monday to Friday 35 per hour week, so do anticipate that I will have the time to study for this. Could anybody who is currently (or has previously) studying this masters (any route) tell me a bit about the pros and cons. Is the workload manageable around a full time job? How much time do you have to set aside? What are the assignments like?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated ☺️
