Today’s Coloring 💕

Almost through our second week coloring(my kids and I are all taking a stab at it this summer) and still having so much fun!

Tried a pattern on the wallpaper here- the inspo I had was far too advanced for me so I went more basic 🤣🤣 I don’t love it and don’t hate it but still having a good time trying.

Week One Down and Done 💕

Sharing some of my favorites from this week!

I very quickly started to see what was actually enjoyable for me. I like playing with colors that bring me joy and adding some shadows and highlights (at least trying- I’m aware they probably aren’t realistic or accurate). My kids and I all have a book and we bought a set of markers and are having so much fun!

UPDATE: Eyebrows are a Gateway Drug

After my pre-teen unnecessarily called out my uneven brows (which have bothered me for years) I went down a bit of a rabbit hole.

So many of you kindly responded and gave so many helpful tips.

For now, I’m holding off on a Botox consult and trying facial yoga and massage, microcurrent (bought a Nuface Mini on super sale) and got my eyebrows tinted and shaped professionally for the first time. I also got a lash tint and lift and am loving how the darker and slightly more symmetrical brows and fresh lashes open everything up.

A few new questions:

Would love insight for lash and brow products that promote growth and a tinted brow gel maybe.

How to you incorporate the Nuface into your existing routine? Morning? Night?

Thanks again all 🙏🙏💕🫶

Botox Brow Lift?

Hi all-

First time posting.

I am 43 and tell myself I am committing to aging as naturally as possible. To that end, I’ve prioritized skin care and health and not explored anything like Botox in the past. That being said, my eyebrow asymmetry bothers me. I wear glasses 24/7 and depending on the shape the difference is pretty noticeable (to me at least). I also get migraines (on the droopy eye side and understand it may be a little of a chicken or the egg situation).

I’m wondering if a Botox eye lift is something that I should consider for correcting some of the unevenness. I am not interested in freezing my forehead or wrinkles- I’m a mom and a teacher and I need their help 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks so much for your insights!

Summer Stack

After three weeks of wearing no jewelry (a first time massive poison ivy infection 😭) I put on some jewelry today for Father’s Day dinner with the family.

Tried stacking the solitaire diamond with my usual crew and liking it for summer! 💕

First Timer 🫣🫣

My tween daughter and I decided it was time to try out coloring and had so much fun today! The whole family joined in and loved experimenting with different markers and some basic techniques.

Would love to hear any tips or ideas for beginners! Not concerned with perfection- just enjoying time spent together creating 🫶

Strap Help!

Hi all!

I got this gorgeous 2015 Speedy 25B preloved but it didn’t have the shoulder strap. I’ve tried a dozen different straps from Etsy, Amazon and Mautto and they are not matching.

This is the closest I’ve found. The sheen is good but it’s def not an exact match color wise. In some lighting it looks closer than others.

What are your thoughts? Am I going crazy here? Should l leave well enough alone?

Who else is collecting birth year pieces? 👜✨

I’ve recently fallen down the rabbit hole of hunting down bags from my birth month/year and honestly it makes vintage collecting feel so much more personal. There’s just something special about carrying a piece that’s existed as long as you have 🤎

I also started grabbing pieces with other important dates. So far I’ve gotten a Recto Verso with my son’s birth year, a DE Speedy 25 B for my daughter’s birth year, a tiny coin pouch from my wedding year, and a Trousse 28 from Feb 1983 for myself! I even found a Vintage DA NF to gift my niece for graduation that ended up having my masters graduation year 😊

I’d love to see what everyone has found!

• What’s your birth year piece?

• Did you match the exact month too?

• Was it a dream find or a total accidental score?

• Any styles you’re still hunting for?

Strap for Damier Ebene- Vintage Shiny Version??

Does anyone have a recommendation for an off brand shoulder strap for this vintage Speedy 25 B? I have bought three now from Etsy and Amazon but none of them have the same sheen as the vintage brown leather.

Thanks!!!

Wallets and pouches and cases, oh my!

Does anyone else have a slight SLG obsession? Nothing brings me more joy than finding the perfect little pouches for all my little things. 💕 I’ve also recently started collecting birth year pieces and SLGs are the perfect small additions since I’m feeling really good about my current purse collection.

Just got a 1983 Toilette 15 yesterday so it was the perfect excuse to reorganize everything in my bag! 🤎🤎🤎

Are you team SLG or do you just throw everything in and hope for the best! Show us how you organize your bags! 🤗

Purse peace achieved 👜✨ LV collection finally feels… complete

I think I’ve officially hit LV purse peace (at least for now 😅).

After a lot of buying, selling, obsessing, comparing, stalking tracking, and convincing myself I “needed” one more piece… my LV collection is at a really happy place.

It’s a mix of new abs vintage. I bought a few retail, most I bought pre-loved, and some are vintage gems I found for a steal. I got a little obsessive and impulsive for a minute but once I started focusing on what actually works for my life, I was able to downsize to a collection that makes sense for me.

What I’m loving…

🌸 I’m not scared to use my bags.

🌸 I rotate everything.

🌸 Each piece fills a specific role (everyday, travel, grab-and-go, dressy).

🌸No impulse purchases lately.

And ok, here is the favorite part- I’ve started collecting pieces from important years in my
life. That customized vintage Speedy 30? It’s from the year I turned 16. The DA Neverfull- my masters graduation gift. The DE Speedy 25… my first daughters birth year 🫶🫶🫶 I have a Toilette 16 pouch on the way from 1983 - you can probably guess what year that it 🫣🫣

For me, purse peace wasn’t about finding and securing the “perfect” bag that actually doesn’t fit my lifestyle (I’m talking to you Blue Nano Diane 🤪🫣). It’s about letting go of the pressure, being honest about what I think is a reasonable budget, and what the things are that I really want to spend/ invest on and why, and finally buying what makes me excited to reach for it.

How did you achieve purse peace? Did you find the prefect bag? Are you downsizing? Trying a new brand?

Vintage Speedy 25B Damier Ebene Refreshed!! 🧼🧑‍🎨🖌️💕

Just had to share!!!

I bought this birth year Speedy 25 Bandolier in Damier Ebene for the year my daughter was born. Got a decent price bc of worn hardware and peeling handles.

A little brasso fixed all the hardware- looks shiny and brand new again- just look at that lock!!! 🤎And some Fiebing’s Leather Sheen on the peeling handles made them perfect!!! I cannot believe how easy it was!

Thank you so much to everyone who offers their advice, ideas and insight here! I love collecting bags but I really enjoy bringing them back to life even more than going into the store and buying brand new sometimes. The support in this group makes that possible!!!! 💕💕🫶🫶

OMG guys!!! My vintage 1999 Speedy 30 just got a custom makeover and I’m obsessed 😭

I originally sold my old Speedy 30 last year after not using it for ages, but the SECOND I shipped it out I regretted it. Around that same time I started seeing DIY videos of people adding D-rings so they could shoulder-carry their bags, and I knew I needed another one.

I ended up finding this cutie for a steal, cleaned her up, DIYed the D-rings myself, and used mink oil to patina the strap so it matched perfectly. I’ve been carrying her nonstop since last summer.

But I kept thinking about the Mon Monogram collection and whether I should customize mine too. I finally found an amazing artist and sent her off… and she came back today.

OH. MY. GOSH.

I am absolutely floored by how adorable she turned out. I love that this 27-year-old bag gets a whole new life now, and hopefully another 30 years of adventures 🥹🤎💜

Just wondering how we feel about the handles on DE peeling like this? Worth it if it's a good deal still or just a hard pass?

I'm looking for a 2015 25B and all the ones I find seem to have this problem, but are still priced relatively high for the wear.

Thoughts?
