I’m new to designing linkage and I can’t seem to figure out how you know where to move pivots to get desired kinematics. I have IC enabled to help figure it out but still can’t get it. Is it all just guessing and moving pivots until you get a desired kinematic? Even when I get somewhere close to a good anti rise when I try and change anti squat it all changes. Anyone got a video or any useful advice for me?

I know not many people have Intend but for those of you who do is the lack of lower guards a problem? All other inverted forks have them and I don’t see a reason not to have them as that area is very prone to getting hit/scratched. I know Intend does make the black line forks with guards but I mostly see people running the normal forks without guards. Anyone know why this is/have experience with Intend forks?

Just switched away from my XTs that had the interface to work with my I spec dropper lever but now I don’t have anything to clamp it to. I can’t seem to find any handlebar clamps for Shimano I spec other than the 40 dollar wolftooth one. I need one for my shifter as well to mount on the bars that uses the same I spec interface. I know I asked this already today but this is a bit more in depth explanation of the problem. I’m just looking for a cheap way to clamp my Shimano I spec dropper and shifter to my bars. Thanks!

Just got new brakes that aren’t compatible with my shimano shifter or dropper lever so I’m looking to just get some bar clamps to attach them. Literally the only thing that comes up on google that will work with it is this wolf tooth one but it is 40 dollars and I’m not trying to spend 80 bucks on bar clamps. Anyone have a link to a cheap bar clamp that will do nothing more than just secure my shimano shifter to my handlebars. Thanks!

So I’m trying to get rid of my Shimano XTs because I really don’t like the Shimano brake feel and have an opportunity to get some formulas. I have heard they have a similar feel to shamanos which is what I’m looking to get away from. Anyone tried both of them and can tell if they actually feel similar / if the formulas are actually good or not? thanks!

So I recently built up a Contra MC. I didn’t have the right seat post for the frame so I had to use a smaller one with a seat post shim. This leaves a little gap by the top where water can get in. Am I overthinking this? Will the water just drain out of the bottom bracket on its own or should I somehow plug up the seat post hole so no water gets in in the first place? I’m very scared of rust ruining this awesome frame and I’m wondering if anyone has any opinions on what I should do. Thanks guys!

I know most of you probably never heard of Contra bikes but anyone that has do you know what happened to the company? Everytime I try and reach out with a question I get no answer and I’ve found people that have the same problem. To my knowledge he isn’t selling frames anymore and no more Contras on the World Cup track as well. Anyone know what happened? I don’t expect anyone to be able to answer this but worth a shot I guess🤷‍♂️

Looking for some tips on taking care of my steel frame from people that have experience

My main questions are:

Do I actually need to worry a ton about rusting?
There is a hole drilled in the bottom bracket shell. When I’m washing should I be worried about water getting in there and making rust or should I just let it air dry.

Should I be worried about water getting in the seat post/headset areas?

Any other info from steel frame owners is appreciated! Thanks

So I have 2 Continental Kryptotals one is a Re 2.6 and one is an Fr 2.4. I heard from someone that you should always put the thicker tire in the front but the thicker one is the the rear version….. Am I overthinking this? what would you guys do? thanks!

Hey guys! I’ve been using my One RS to film myself biking recently but when I go to watch the footage, there is a lot of wind noise. I have tried using little fuzz wind muffs(don’t know what they are called) but the wind still gets in. I’m pretty sure this is because the case that goes around the 3 pieces leaves a gap that wind can still get in but I’m not sure. Anyone have a One RS that has/has solved this problem? Thanks!
