Huhu need advice po. Mayat maya ang spam calls sa phone ko mula sa unknown numbers. Never ako sumasagot at sinusubukan ko muna i-search sa GCash/Shopee, pero laging not registered kaya may kutob akong scam at natatakot ako.

Never naman ako sumali sa kahit anong loan apps, kaya nakakapagtaka kung saan nakuha number ko. Ang bilis pa makalowbat ng phone dahil sa walang tigil na tawag.

Do you recommend any caller ID or call-screening app (like Whoscall or Truecaller) para ma-block 'tong mga 'to? O may phone settings ba kayong alam para kusa silang ma-filter? Salamat po!

May tumawag just now and at first akala ko legit from BPI since I was expecting a callback.

Recently kasi, I reported my credit card for unauthorized transactions (na-hack yung cc ko), and sabi ng BPI rep they will call me back after a few days once ma-approve yung reimbursement since ongoing pa yung investigation.

Before reporting sa BPI, I also made sure na correct yung official number na tinawagan ko for fraud/unauthorized swipe report.

So when I got the call today, sinagot ko agad thinking baka update na.

Kaso pag sagot ko, parang Indian-accented voice na parang pre-recorded yung dating tuloy-tuloy lang siya speaking like:
“Hello I can’t hear you, I just want to remind you you cannot borrow money from me… blah blah blah.” So binaba ko kagad yung call.

Medyo na-praning ako kasi hindi siya conversational, parang recorded script lang talaga.

I also double-checked after the call sa GCash, hindi registered yung number at sa Shopee, wala rin details or account tied to that number

For context, I don’t borrow money from random lenders or anything like that, so wala talaga akong idea san nila nakuha number ko.

I already blocked the number after the call, pero mej scary lang kasi timing-wise akala ko legit bank callback talaga siya.

Question lang: may chance ba na may na-capture silang info from just answering the call? Or phishing/scam attempt lang talaga kahit wala kang binigay na input?

Ingat po tayo lahat sobrang dami na talagang scam calls ngayon na parang sakto pa sa timing ng legit bank updates.

Finally did something I’ve been thinking about for a while first time ko mag-donate ng buhok for cancer patients. 🥰

Finally got to try Hakata Issou (Nakasu branch) in Fukuoka, Japan and yes—I lined up for it 😅 They only serve one type of ramen, and the only difference is the toppings you choose. Super straightforward but seriously flavorful.

Heads up if you’re planning to go: bring cash! Their ordering system uses a vending machine and it’s cash-only.
