Anyone else not really feeling DZ2 because of the low mag sizes?

I always picked 200% in the first game but only having the 25% mag size increase is laughable. I need to reload so much they should rename this to Deadzone Reload 2.

The increased amount of items DZ2 has means 60% is shit you never want which makes putting a build together even harder. They should allow us to turn off certain items like Megabonk so we can cull all the bad items they added and the game doesn't become a reroll simulator. Also why are the secondaries still so strong?

Just bought the game and played for 2 hours, how do I prevent playing against choppers?

Is there some map or game mode that I can play that doesn't give anyone choppers? I was doing pretty well for my first time but about 60% of my deaths were by some coked up chopper player team wiping us every 30 seconds. I've found no coordination in taking it down and even if we would have, they can just respawn and grab another chopper right?

I think I played one game on that water map with the oil rig in the middle and that was probably my favorite since I didn't get chopper raped the entire match. Would love to hear what other maps I can try.

And how do I use push-to-talk? Or is it not in the game and is everyone on constant open mic?

Is this a new beta issue or has this always happened?

Image 1 has a weird traincar, there were 4 floating enemies there.

Image 2 has the biker lady walking backwards through the fence thus softlocking my crime spree...

I played this heist a decent amount of times and never saw either and the first time I play it on the beta this happened in the same heist. Again, this was the crimespree interception variant.

How would you guys rank the 3 main maps?

  1. Pechorsk Outskirts. Great map, lots of freedom to your approach. Feels closest to a ITR1 map. Good POI and it looks nice graphics wise. The Cube is still bugged as shit though and I can't wait to mod it out (unless they fix the detection).

  2. Peninsula. Not that great. Too linear for my liking since it pretty much just one road running through it. Decent starter map if nothing more. Looks pretty good though and I don't really mind going through it.

  3. Forest. It's probably my least favorite map out of every single ITR map ever. Map looks interesting at first but in reality it's feels very linear. From spawn, you either go left or right and just follow a road to arrive and cross at one of the two bridges. The POI aren't very interesting and overall the map feels very boring to me.

And what ITR1 map would you like to see in ITR2? My choice would be Kolkhoz Zarya, since it's my favorite map of them all and I would love to see what it would look like during the timeline of ITR2 (though I'll happily pay for any of them).

[ITR2] What to do against phantoms?

I keep dying mid gunfight to random phantoms that walk right up my ass making no sound and I die in 2 taps. I only know they are there (too late) because my screen goes red from them hitting me.

Any way to turn off practically invisible no noise enemies in general?

Some questions from a new PVE noob

- Are there no dump pouches? What do I do with my mag when I reload mid fight?

- The base upgrades require a bunch of random items. Can I track these somehow so I know what to grab in-raid?

- Why is the quest system so vague? I complete an objective but the ! marker stays on the map and sometimes I see multiple ! on the map but I'm not sure how to figure out what quest they even belong to.

- Map markers I put on the map keep randomly dissapearing, is there any way to prevent this or is this just how it works?

Edit: Some more questions

- How do I prepare ammo wise? 3 mags on my vest usually isn't enough. I can't bring an ammo box like Into the Radius right? Do I carry extra loose mags in my backpack or do y'all carry a bunch of loose ammo around to refill mags?

- From what I've seen so far it feels like the entire game is centered around collecting copious amount of random items for hundreds of tasks on end. Is this the whole gameplay loop or will I also do other stuff later?

Thanks

[Payday 2] Is there a way to turn off cosmetics other people are using?

I just want to see people wear a classic suit and not some pink bunny costume. Is there a mod to toggle them off for the mod user only?

I thought I dodged the UI update...

Saw a bunch of people complaining about it but it never installed for me until yesterday. It's fucking awful. There was nothing wrong with the old UI, but now I have to search for everything, including needing to go into a menu to just check my battery percentage. Making up a non-existent problem and ''solving'' it by making it worse, straight out of Youtubes playbook. Combine that with Meta updates bricking headsets left and right and support trying to sell you a refurbished Q3 instead of compensating you, the Steam frame can't come fast enough.

Why can't I turn off anomalies anymore?

Normally I would just turn off random anomaly rate or something like that in the settings and all those annoying fields and electric cubes would be completely gone but to my surprise everything remains with it on now. Did they change this?
