US Morgan Dollar. Real or fake?

I don't have much experience with US currency however I'm looking to expand my collection (so far my US collection is only around 50 coins), I'm just wanting a second opinion as to whether or not this Morgan dollar is real?

I don't want to risk bidding for it unless I know it's legit. Is there anything that would suggest that this isn't a real coin?

Rainbow toning - real or artificial?

Hi, I've been collecting coins for quite some time now but I've only just recently decided to start adding toned coins to my collection. Got a small handful of proof coins with some toning that I know are real, however I'm looking at a shilling on eBay with rainbow toning and I'm just wanting an opinion as to whether this toning is natural or whether it's artificial?

Also if someone can give me some pointers for spotting artificial toning in future, that would be handy.

Anyone happen to know what this reverse type is? Help would be much appreciated thanks

I'm terrible at identifying reverse types for Roman coins. The coin itself is a Valerian II silver Antoninianus / double denarius.

I've never seen a reverse like this before and I'm unable to read the text properly. Can someone help me out please? I can share the obverse too if necessary (it's a right-facing portrait of Valerian II wearing a spiked helmet / crown).

My apologies in advance if the answer to this is something obvious. Reverse image search didn't help me :/

Royal Mint Trial Coin question

So, I'm assuming errors in those £1 trial coins that royal mint released will be somewhat common, however what I'm wondering is are "fried egg" errors in these trial coins a common occurrence? Or is that somewhat rare even for one of those trial coins?

I bought a trial coin to add to my modern British coin collection and it has got the most severe fried egg error I've ever seen. Just curious as to whether this is uncommon or not.

Item sent to wrong DO. When should I expect it?

I had a Tracked 48 due to arrive this morning but they've accidentally sent it to a DO in the next county over (around a 1hr drive away from me). The tracking now says "in transit" and tells me it was sent to the wrong DO in error, however it hasn't gave me an updated delivery time or date.

Should I still be expecting it to arrive today or is that unlikely now? The tracking info doesn't give me any clue as to when I should be expecting it to arrive.

Does this seem legit? Parthian Empire

I don't have ANY Parthian coins in my collection whatsoever and I've never done any research into them so I've got no clue whether this is legit, I took a gamble on it as I was already buying several other (real) coins from the same seller and I won these in a bid to be shipped alongside the other coins that I won.

First pic is obverse, second pic is rev. Supposedly a silver drachm.

Does this look okay or is there anything that screams that it's fake?

Also, an entirely unrelated question (rather than me posting a separate thread). For a Byzantine Justinian II bronze Follis showing him with Sophia from 576AD (Nicomedia mint) in great condition, anyone got an estimate of what one of these would sell for? I've got two of the same coin, both in very good condition and I'm wanting to sell one. It's not graded or anything but I'd say in terms of the grade it's close to XF. Brilliant condition for such an old coin.. just wondering what I should charge. I see some sold for around £20 and some for around £70, so a lot of variation.

Anyone recognize any of these?

Won these on an auction for a cheap price. They haven't arrived yet but I'm just wondering if anyone can identify any of these so that I know what exactly I'm buying?

I don't have much experience with medieval coins (I mostly collect Roman). Couldn't pass up on these as I won the bid for very cheap, just wondering which countries they're from etc.

Roman coin -- what type of reverse is this?

Can someone identify the reverse for this coin for me please?

I can only properly make out the letters "V" and "S" (can't tell if one of the other letters is a "B" or if it's an "R") -- for some additional info, its a silver denarius of Julia Mamaea from th Severan Dynasty (mother of Severus Alexander). 3rd century CE.

Can someone please let me know what the text on the reverse says and/or what it is a depiction of? I'm attempting to find it by looking through a list of common Roman reverse types but I'm unable to find it.

If someone can let me know this would be very useful, thanks.

Not getting credits?

So, I've been paying for an audible membership since march yet I haven't been given a single credit yet except for the original credit I got when I first signed up. I thought I was meant to get one credit per month, how could this be happening?

Cleaning ancients -- tips?

Hi,

I know people say not to clean ancient coins, but I got these for very cheap so I don't care if I damage them.

I have around 280 Roman coins, 140 Byzantine, and 60 greek coins that were all sold to me in bulk in "as dug" condition and I'm just looking for some general advice as to the best methods for cleaning them up so that I can actually make out some of the detail?

I put some of them into an ultrasonic cleaning tank with distilled water which definitely removed a ton of dirt and grime but also seemed to damage the patina a lot. I also tried white vinegar + salt, which again cleaned them up a bit but also damaged the patina too.

Anyone got any tips and tricks that I can use to clean these and see if any of them end up in a state where they can actually be identified?

As well as distilled water I've got q-tips, coin cleaning brushes, a thin metal thing for scraping muck out of the hard to reach bits, etc. I'm willing to purchase anything else that might be required.

New to greek coins..does this look genuine?

Looking at this Athenian tetradrachm and just wondering if people think it's genuine? I know eBay is a gamble a lot of the time.

I can easily tell whether or not Roman coins are legit but I can't figure it out yet when it comes to greek ones.

Can someone ID this coin or translate the text for me? This is a pic of reverse (indo-greek / greco-bactrian I believe)

Second pic is obverse, I posted reverse first because it had text..I'm decent at identifying Roman coins but only just recently got into greek stuff and I suck at IDing them plus can't figure out how to translate.

Can anyone tell me what this text reads and who it's a depiction of?

Thanks

Can anyone ID either of these coins? I'm assuming they're greek but looking for more info

As title states, anyone know what these are? They came alongside an indo-greek one that I've managed to ID.

Pics 1 and 2 is obverse and rev of coin #1

Pics 3 and 4 = obv & rev of coin #2
