Hey! I'm Alexander, 18M from South Carolina, and I'm looking to make some long-term online friends.

I'd describe myself as caring, calm, and pretty shy in person. I'm definitely more on the introverted side, although once I get comfortable with someone I open up a lot more.

Most of my free time goes toward gaming (PS5), but I'm also learning guitar and have been getting into movies, TV shows, and anime lately. If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them. Music-wise, I mostly listen to metal, but I also enjoy goth, and I'm lumping crust punk in metal too.

One hobby that's a little different is making my own hot sauces. I grow most of the peppers and ingredients myself.

I'm looking for people who want an actual long-term friendship instead of just a few messages before disappearing but that doesn't mean we have to force interaction even if it's not clicking. I'm a Christian, so it'd be nice to meet people who share my faith, but it's definitely not a requirement. My friend suggested that I watch Death Note a while back and I've been really enjoying it; I'm about done with it. I have some shows on my watchlist RN since I'm watching on Tubi and it's Naruto and Jojo's but I was wondering if I would get more recommendations or any information/input on the ones I have lined up next. I should also add that I watched the first season of Chainsaw Man back when that was new because my friends were talking about it and I recently read the whole manga because I heard it ended, definitely had a strong start but fell off.

This is something I've been thinking about, in Revelation the new earth is going to be created and there will be **NO** sin in it which means that we are going to be changed by God if I'm not mistaken to not want to sin (this is according to what I've heard at church which is a Non-reformed Baptist Church). So why does sin exist in the first place if He can literally give us the desire not to do so? Is sin necessary for God to fully display His character and that's why?

I was reading the Quran and I have found some odd verses that really display some tension in the text. In 3:4 the Quran is called the criterion and in 2:53, the Torah is also called the criterion (both use the word "al-furqan"). In verse 3:3 it says that the Torah is from Allah and in 6:115, it says none can change the words of Allah. Before doing some interpretive work: 6:114, 7:52, and 11:1 all say that the Quran is fully explained/detailed which puts pressure on 3:7 because it is unclear on which verses are up for explanation which go against all the verse saying the Quran is clear, detailed, and explained.
