Update on Susie (photos 8 and 9)

Susie is scheduled to undergo surgery for the removal of a tumor in her ear on July 25. The veterinarian advised that she may need to stay confined for at least one day, depending on her recovery.

I am hoping that Susie will be well enough to be discharged on July 26, so she can hopefully celebrate my birthday by enjoying some boiled chicken with the other rescue cats in my apartment.

I will also make sure that the stray cats in our area receive some boiled chicken as well.

Rest assured, I will post photos of Susie before her surgery and upon her discharge, together with the receipt for her medical expenses.

Her owner said that she can no longer take care of Susie and cannot afford to bring her to the vet. Sadly, no one wanted to adopt Susie because she has a tumor in her ear.

I didn't hesitate to accept Susie when I saw her condition. I knew she needed help, and I couldn't turn her away.

I was able to bring Susie to the vet, where she was thoroughly examined and underwent CBC and BloodChem tests. She was diagnosed with an auricular mass in her right ear.

According to the vet, Susie needs lumpectomy (tumor removal surgery) and a mass biopsy as soon as possible. The tumor is very sensitive and bleeds easily, causing her severe pain and discomfort. The vet also said that the mass could possibly be cancerous, which is why the biopsy is very important.

I am humbly asking for everyone's help to give Susie the tumor removal surgery she desperately needs. She deserves a healthier, longer, and pain-free life. She also deserves a loving and responsible forever home—someone who will never give up on her.

Hello, everyone!

Bana is a sick stray kitten that I found near my apartment. Thanks to your kindness and support, I was able to bring her to the veterinary clinic today.

She was examined by the veterinarian and underwent a CBC test. She was diagnosed with a bacterial skin infection. Her bloodwork also showed an elevated white blood cell count, indicating an infection, and that she is slightly anemic. She received an antibiotic injection and was prescribed an iron supplement to help with her recovery.

I also ordered additional wet food, as I am currently caring for two other rescued kittens and an adult cat with dental issues. The order was delivered today.

I will post another update on Bana in the next few days to let everyone know how she's doing.

She was examined by the veterinarian and underwent a CBC test. She was diagnosed with a bacterial skin infection. It is with great sadness that I share that Mama Barbarella passed away on July 11. I received a call from the veterinary clinic informing me that, despite their efforts, she didn't make it. I was able to bring her home and laid her to rest near the church.

Her kittens are doing well so far, and I will continue doing everything I can to care for them and give them the best chance at a healthy life.

Regarding the donations I received for Mama Barbarella's medical treatment, I have decided to use the remaining funds to purchase supplies for the kittens and the other rescued cats in my care (please see photos 5 to 9). I purchased the following:

• 2 sacks of kitten dry food (10 kg each)
• 1 sack of urinary dry food (10 kg)

Mama Barbarella has been confined at Deloso Veterinary Clinic since July 6 after being diagnosed with a severe respiratory infection. Unfortunately, she has not shown much improvement. Today, I brought her kittens to visit her, hoping that seeing them would give her the strength and motivation to keep fighting so she can be reunited with them.

On July 6, I was able to pay the initial $138 vet bill, which covered:

• Consultation fee
• Blood tests (CBC and Blood Chemistry)
• X-ray
• 5-way test
• 1 day of confinement (for July 6)

Today, I was also able to pay $98, which covered her confinement from July 6 to July 9.

Total spent for Mama Barbarella's treatment: $237

Mike was diagnosed with periodontal disease and gingivitis. Due to limited funds, I searched for a more affordable veterinary clinic that could perform the dental procedure he urgently needed. Thankfully, I found one.

Today, Mike successfully underwent dental surgery. The total cost was $83, which included:

• CBC test
• Dental prophylaxis
• Tooth extraction
• Antibiotic injection
• Oral spray medication

Hello, everyone!

I am a solo animal rescuer based in Manila, Philippines.

Elfy is my 32nd rescue out of the 36 rescued cats currently in my care. She is now on Day 57 of her 84-day treatment for Neurological FIP.

She received her last GS-441524 injection on July 8, and on that same day, her GS capsules arrived.

On July 9, Elfy took her very first GS capsule. My initial attempt was to dissolve the capsule's powder in a small amount of water and administer it with a syringe. It was quite challenging because Elfy wasn't very cooperative, and she had to take about 5 mL of water containing the dissolved medication.

Today, I tried a different approach by mixing the GS capsule powder into half a pouch of wet food—and it worked perfectly! She happily finished it, and I then gave her the remaining half of the pouch afterward.

Because of your kindness and generosity, I was able to purchase her GS capsules and some wet food. Without your support, I would not have been able to continue Elfy's FIP treatment.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much to each and every one of you for giving Elfy this chance to keep fighting. Your support means more than words can express.

I am a solo animal rescuer based in Manila, Philippines. I currently care for 36 rescued cats (including Mama Barbarella and her two kittens) and feed over 40 stray cats in our area every single day.

I do TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). Most of my rescued cats (except for my recent rescues and kittens) as well as the stray cats in our area (especially the females) have already been fixed. Whenever I can, I also go to other areas to feed, rescue, and do TNR.

Mama Barbarella and her kittens are my most recent rescues. I rescued them after the owner of a fitness center wanted to put them in a sack and abandon them somewhere else.

A few days after the rescue, Mama Barbarella started losing weight and eventually stopped eating, so I rushed her to the vet on July 6. She has been confined at the veterinary clinic ever since. She is currently receiving IV fluids, medications, nebulization a couple of times a day, and oxygen support whenever she has difficulty breathing.

The initial veterinary bill for her first day has already been paid. It was $138 (photo 4), which covered:

• Consultation
• CBC and Blood Chemistry
• X-ray
• 5-way test
• First day of confinement

According to the veterinarian, Mama Barbarella is still too weak to be discharged. She will need to remain confined for at least five more days, depending on her recovery. The confinement fee is $33 per day.

Estimated remaining expenses for Mama Barbarella upon discharge:

• Confinement (July 7–13): $231
• Take-home medications (estimated): $25

Total for Mama Barbarella: $256

I am also hoping to raise enough to purchase at least one week's worth of food and litter for my rescued and community cats:

Mama Barbarella and her kittens are my most recent rescues. I rescued them after the owner of a fitness center wanted to put them in a sack and abandon them somewhere else.

A few days after the rescue, Mama Barbarella started losing weight and eventually stopped eating, so I rushed her to the vet on July 6. She has been confined at the veterinary clinic ever since. She is currently receiving IV fluids, medications, nebulization a couple of times a day, and oxygen support whenever she has difficulty breathing.

The initial veterinary bill for her first day has already been paid. It was $138 (photo 4), which covered:

• Consultation
• CBC and Blood Chemistry
• X-ray
• 5-way test
• First day of confinement

According to the veterinarian, Mama Barbarella is still too weak to be discharged. She will need to remain confined for at least five more days, depending on her recovery. The confinement fee is $33 per day.

Estimated remaining expenses for Mama Barbarella upon discharge:

• Confinement (July 7–13): $231
• Take-home medications (estimated): $25

Total for Mama Barbarella: $256

I am also hoping to raise enough to purchase at least one week's worth of food and litter for my rescued and community cats:

Update on Elfy

Elfy has completed her 55th GS-441524 injection out of the required 84-day FIP treatment. Starting tomorrow, she will transition from daily injections to GS-441524 oral capsules.

Over the past few days, Mama Barbarella has been losing weight. Today, she stopped eating completely and developed nasal discharge. I am very worried that she may have an infection or another serious illness that requires immediate veterinary care.

The kittens only started eating wet food a couple of days ago and still rely heavily on their mother. While we wait to get Mama Barbarella to the vet, I have been gently wiping the discharge from her nose with a damp tissue and continuing to give vitamins to both her and her kittens in the hope of keeping them as comfortable and healthy as possible.

I am humbly asking for your help so I can bring Mama Barbarella to the vet as soon as possible. Any amount you can spare will go toward giving her the treatment she needs and helping her stay with her babies.
