>Dudes, the 2007 movie and the 2013 soft sequel are both great. The first one is a fantastic neo-western gothic horror comedy. (And yes, watch the extended cut! It fixes the Blackheart holy ground plot hole).

The only thing missing from the movie was a better explanation of his powers for non-comic fans and first-timers (I mean, even the comics get confusing).
Some people say him getting stabbed and hurt, then later being shot and not being affected is a plot hole. It’s not—it’s the science of it! When he was stabbed, an object physically entered him instead of it just being blunt force, which is why it affected him the first time. Later, when he gains more control and transforms again, he isn't affected. When he turns back into Blaze, his stab wound is completely healed because he has control.

Anyway, the sequel is also pretty good—not as good, but chaotically fun and well done. Also, Ghost Rider walking in the sunlight isn’t a plot hole either; when the kid gave him his powers back, he started becoming the Angel Ghost Rider. I’m sick of people not paying attention!

Finally, a Carter Slade prequel show would be great. But now that Ryan Gosling is rumored, it means he’s going to play an understated Ghost Rider. In my opinion, that isn’t Johnny Blaze—Blaze is overstated. That sounds exactly like Danny Ketch! EDIT: My fave ghost-rider run its the OG, then the (i think) late 2007 but before the angels come in!

we open with text above the panels sayin "Afghan 1985" With page 1 panels 4, 1 big vertical on the side showing man guard the second showing at the top with a wide panel showing his face and somebodys eyes behind him and one wide one under showing people with guns coming out of the shadows sneaking cracking some necks with small crackin sounds and 1 more panel on the right veritcal showing a dark prison cell

page 2 panel 1 in the top wide takin the whole top shows the gunmen takes steps to the door tryin to open it panel 2 in the bottom left shows the cell and two guards bein shot with silencedpistols beside it with bullet sounds then for panel 3 at the bottom middle we zoom in on the cell with the blood on it, and a man in the shadows on the floor and for the remaining bottom right panel 4 we have the cell and you see a man's non silenced shotgun break the cell open with a bang

page 6 panel 1 at the left we see their safe and in the air talking at dawn in the helicopter jack says "no thank you?... well you at least wonder why we saved ya rick?" looking at rick smirking panel 2 middle we see rick his face peed off saying "you left me here, to die! with the others! when did you(emphasize on you), start carin jack?" panel 3 right we see jacks face stern with an amazing dawn in the background and him saying "lets cut to the chase. we need you to come back, and enter an enemy zone, russia, in the ghost town of Chelyabinsk-13. and do it alone, since your a civicilan it'll be much easier to get you in to try to recover an agent, one of ours, who had been sent to investigate a mystery weapon, and to retrieve a rat who's ghosted us. Got it?"

page 7 we get panel 1 on the full top we see the dawn closing and rick looking out the helicopter saying "why should i givva &!?!#!" we see panel 2 in the left middle we see jacks hand on his shoulder with a red dawn saying "cause we could get you a new life rick. a way to start it over, how bout it rick, sound good? RICK." then we see panel 3 to the middle right jack being punched by rick in the face with a umph bam sound and spit then we go to panel 4 the whole of the bottom we see the helicopter flying looking like its gonna be night soon and text of rick saying "yeah... i'll do it."

page 8 we see above the panels text saying "3 months later: Russia On The Border Of Chelyabinsk-13." panel 1 on the whole page we see a cold harsh mountain at night and on top rick looking out with boniculars at the night light of the city/base next to a bike (which has weapons strapped to it like a bazooka and machine gun and time mines) with a tape playing saying on this page "your mission is to retrieve zelenski pretrov the informant and find information about a mystery weapon"

page 9 panel 1 on the whole top we see the mostly abandoned city through binoculars and guards on towers with the tape still continuing "petrov had previously told us that Chelyabinsk-13 was building a weopon something big" then panel 2 taking up the middle we see rick taking a shot of coffe calibrating a time mine while the tape continues "he then ghosted us. it was obvious something happened to him. so here you are. find him and report back. panel 3 taking up the bottom we see the binoculars zoom into a general with a very weird unique outfit walking into the central building with the tape continuing "also, you might meet some eccentric types along the way, if ya know what i mean. good luck and uh dont die. over and out."

page 10 panel 1 on the left more thin vertical shows rick walking over to his motorbike and sighing and puting things in his pocket panel 2 in the middle bigger shows him on the motorbike smoking and in this panel we get a zoom at his body there smoke and all panel 3 on the right more thin vertical shows him riding down the hill

page 11 panel 1 on the top a wide sideaways not vertical panel we see ricks face smiling and him holding a bazooka in one hand machine gun on back on the motorbike then panel 2 on the middle up left we see rick on the motorbik riding straight into the base with a bazooka blowing the door open panel 3 which is upper middle not fully up though we see rick throwing the bazooka away while a machine gun in one hand shooting them guns being shot everywhere with the effect of ahhhoo and throwing mysterouis mines timed ones! panel 4 upper right middle we see an over the shoulder of a man with a strange looking crossbow he is on a roof pointing at the motorbike tracking it with his eye and shooting it panel 5 bottom left we see the arrow flying past soldiers explosions everywhere panel 6 middle bottom we see the crossbow go over a mans head (nod to william tell) panel 6 bottom right we see the arrow pierce the gas tank on the motorbike exploding and seeing ricks face like oh no but not saying it

page 13 three panels all made like thin and wide to mimic eyes panel 1 top you see from ricks view (he is sitting tied to a chair) and his eyes barely open but you can kinda see five men two random guards by the door the crossbow man (who is not speaking) a doctor and the general and dialogue says "well that helped i think he's up" "good! who are you and why are you here!" panel 2 middle his eye more open with text reading "i dont think he heard you" "well fix it!" "well i (interrupted by slap by general)" "Slap! then panel 3 bottom his eyes open rick releases a slow "ooohhhf" and the general says "why are you here who are you!" behind him a orange yellow dirty room with some cabinets place

page 14 panel 1 smaller on the top left we see rick say "I, (sigh) came for Weapon. and my names rick" "you came for Weapon, eh?" next top middle panel 2 "you think ridin in that way would work?" panel 3 top right "well its worked so far, all ive gotta do now is kill you Dickwa! (interrupted by punch) panel 4 taking up most of the middle crack! sfx eahh!sfx" (we see him shrug) then panel 5 bottom left corner we see his face looking down and them look freightend "If that's the best you got, I'm just gonna have to kill you!" then panel 6 we see the middle of the bottom panel you see him move his chair towards them loud sound effects and their guns crossbow pointed at him then panel 7

page 19 panel order the same as the others to simulate chaos panel 1 we see rick shot in the leg and fall next to the church panel 2 we see hands drag him across with his blood smudged panel 3 we see its the crossbow man having put rick on a chair saying the crossbow man saying "wake up! im petrov!" rick looking confused panel 4 rick says "why did you shoot my bike then?!" bang and all in the background

page 22 panel 1 full top little bit thicker we see rick on the radio padding his wound with a piece of clothing we see a motorbike in the background with petrov getting it ready and we hear jack say on the radio "mission report rick." rick replies "ive got petrov but the weapons been moved, i know where though..." panel 2 a vertical one taking up the whole middle and bottom left jack says "well &!?!#! rick you better get going then." panel three taking up middle middle and bottom middle rick replies "ive got petrov i(interrupted)" "you signed on to find the weapon, and get petrov. your halfway there Rick, over and out." panel three middle right and bottom right we see rick peed off and petrov say "its time for you to get goin, rick"

page 23 panel 1 full page we see petrov say "ill hold em off and find another way out, you take the bike and meet up with a woman named achillies, she's at the island of kanto. kay?" we see rick nod

page 24 panel 1 on half vertical of the page we see rick on the motorbike (there is a puch on the motorbike with smokers) smoking a panel like the earlier one in the comic then panel 2 we have a tracking shot of him riding the motorbike in the sewers tracking his dirty beatin up face (homage to punisher 89). ISSUE 2 — ISLAND

Rick infiltrates an island.

His objective is to kill five people.

Style: Over-the-top James Bond.

There's a psychic woman helping Rick.

She's been trying to get Rick to love her.

Eventually, they have a battle inside Rick's mind.

The inspiration for the mental battle is:

“Lay All Your Love on Me.”

As Rick defeats her inside the mental battle, he gets closer to her.

Eventually, he stabs her, while she leaves the encounter smiling.

ISSUE 3 — GLADIATOR TOURNAMENT

Rick enters a gladiator arena. (inspired by thunderstruck music video arena)

His objective is to find a man who can help him.

Style/inspirations:

Bloodsport

Enter the Dragon

Martial-arts movies

The arena has a red sky.

I also wanted to recreate the cover of “Thunderstruck.”

ISSUE 4 — base

Setting: 1980s, abondend base/station

Rick meets a blind man.

Rick needs to get something from him.

Eventually, Rick brings the blind man back with him.

The blind man's suit gives him super adrenaline when he's working, making him extremely powerful — like the exaggerated capability of an FPS player.

Style: Hard rock with the feeling of old DOOM games with “The Trooper” style song pacing.

ISSUE 5 — HOTEL

Setting: 1985

Rick has to stay in a hotel for seven days.

He's given a briefcase and told not to open it. Eventually, he's supposed to hand it over to someone.

The hotel is filled with eccentric people and strange situations. Rick gets caught up in:

Other people's problems

Feuds

Cops

Strange events happening around the hotel

At the same time, the story gives Rick room to think about:

Who he is

His mission

His life

Style: The Third Man + “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)”

ISSUE 6 — THE STRANGE HOUSE

Setting: 1985

Rick enters an asylum and is seemingly controlled by the mind of the man he's supposed to retrieve. (twist he was drugged and the place is controlled by his mind also the villians are cultists nazis)

The musical inspiration is “Bohemian Rhapsody” — Queen

The song is meant to influence what happened to the man and the overall atmosphere of the issue.

ISSUE 7 — 1980s GANG WAR

Setting: 1980s

Rick needs to retrieve a tape.

The town is caught in a gang war, and Rick has to navigate through it to get the tape.

Style: Escape from New York, mixed with The Beatles.

This became the 1920s pulp/gangster style story.

ISSUE 8 — WESTERN HEIST

Setting: Western era

Rick has to perform a bank heist.

He hires people to help him.

The issue opens with Rick bleeding in a bar, waiting for the others.

The story then uses flashbacks to explain what happened.

Most of the issue deals with the aftermath of the heist.

Style/inspirations:

Once Upon a Time in Mexico

A Fistful of Dollars Once Upon a Time in the West Django.

ISSUE 8 — JAPAN

Setting: Japan

A flood has already happened, leaving much of the environment floating above the water.

Style: blue 80s and red cool

The issue also includes:

Ninjas

Yakuza

A raid up a tall building

Objective: Rick needs to find a specific man who made the weapon.

THE KILLER STORY

storyline:

Rick gets seemingly killed.

The killer steals the weapon.

The story follows the killer for to full issues named after him his own series.

Rick appears to be dead.

Eventually, it's revealed that Rick survived and we follow him again.

this is a two-issue storyline with a completly different style.
