Built a free app called FridgeSmart to stop losing track of food in my freezer

Hey everyone,

I got sick of forgetting what was at the bottom of my chest freezer and letting expensive groceries get ruined by freezer burn. I also hated that "staring into the fridge" decision fatigue at the end of the week.

So, I built a mobile app called FridgeSmart using AI. It tracks your kitchen inventory, portions, and freeze dates, and automatically suggests recipes based on what you have on hand so things don't go to waste.

It's 100% free with no ads. I’m really trying to polish the UI and the recipe generation logic right now, so I’d love for some fellow builders to tear it apart and give me some brutal feedback.

Built a free app that creates sandwich recipes out of whatever random ingredients are left in your fridge

Hey everyone,

I feel like some of the absolute best sandwiches are born from pure chaos—just pulling random leftovers, cheeses, meats, and half-empty condiment bottles out of the fridge and figuring out a way to make them work together. But too often, I’d let good deli meat, premium bread, or leftovers go bad because I couldn't figure out a good combination in time.

I’m a developer, so I finally snapped and built a free app called FridgeSmart. It tracks your kitchen inventory and automatically suggests recipes and sandwich ideas based entirely on what you have on hand.

It's 100% free and I'm not trying to sell anything—I'm just looking for genuine feedback from fellow sandwich lovers who want an easy way to build epic meals and cut down on food waste.

I'd love to know what you think of it and what features you'd want to see added!

Hey everyone,

I got completely tired of staring into the fridge at the end of the week, seeing a random assortment of ingredients, and having no idea what to make with them before they went bad. I usually ended up with decision fatigue and just ordered takeout while the food went to waste.

I’m a developer, so I finally snapped and built a free app called FridgeSmart. It tracks your kitchen inventory and automatically suggests recipes you can actually make based on what you have on hand.

It's 100% free and I'm not trying to sell anything—I'm just looking for genuine feedback from home cooks who want an easier way to find recipes and cut down on food waste.

I'd love to know what specific features or recipe filters (like cooking time or dietary preferences) would make a tool like this more useful for your daily routine!

Built a free app to track my fridge stash so I stop letting expensive sushi-grade fish go to waste

Hey everyone,

Whenever I do a homemade sushi night, managing the ingredients is always a countdown. Sushi-grade fish, nori sheets, and leftover fillings like avocado or spicy mayo have a super short window before they aren't fresh anymore. I got tired of losing track of exactly when I bought my fish or letting expensive ingredients go bad in the back of the fridge.

I’m a developer, so I finally snapped and built a free app called FridgeSmart to track my kitchen inventory, freshness windows, and expiration dates so this stops happening.

It's 100% free and I'm not trying to sell anything—I'm just looking for genuine feedback from home sushi makers who need to keep tight track of their fresh ingredients.

I'd love to know what specific features would make a tool like this useful for your prep (like custom tracking for fish-aging or freezer-safe windows for sashimi).

Built a free app to track my freezer/pantry stash so I stop letting homemade sauces and pasta go to waste

Hey everyone,

Whenever I make a big batch of ragù, marinara, or fresh handmade pasta, I always freeze the extras in containers and bags. The problem is my freezer turns into a black hole. I completely forget what’s in there, and I recently unearthed a great batch of slow-cooked sauce that had been ruined by freezer burn.

I’m a developer, so I finally snapped and built a free app called FridgeSmart to track my kitchen inventory, portions, and freeze dates so this stops happening.

It's 100% free and I'm not trying to sell anything—I'm just looking for genuine feedback from home cooks who batch-cook or prep a lot of ingredients in advance.

I'd love to know what specific features would make a tool like this useful for your kitchen (like tracking pantry shelf-life for different dry pasta shapes or flour types).

Built a free app to track my freezer stash so I stop losing bulk wings to freezer burn

Hey everyone,

Every time my local grocery store runs a massive sale on party wings, I buy them in bulk, split them into bags, and toss them in my chest freezer. The problem is I always forget what’s at the bottom of the pile, and I recently unearthed two huge bags that had been completely ruined by ice.

I’m a developer, so I finally snapped and built a free app called FridgeSmart to track my inventory, weights, and freeze dates so this stops happening before game days.

It's 100% free and I'm not trying to sell anything—I'm just looking for genuine feedback from people who actually buy and store a lot of meat in bulk.

If you want to check it out, it's on iOS and Android under "FridgeSmart". I'd love to know what specific features would make a tool like this useful for your prep (like tracking dry-brine timelines for extra crispy skin).
