I have a 6 month old rescue malinois and have noticed she has started swaying her hips whilst walking and her gait looks off. She also walks slightly diagonally.
Will book a visit with the vets but wanted to see if this normal for a growing mali as she hasn’t grown into her legs yet or if there is a problem. Worried it is hip dysplasia.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Has anyone actually completed the MVP programme and did you find it actually give you and your dog real life skills?
I have a 10 year old GSD and a 5 month old Belgian Malinois. Both rescues. I am looking for an online intensive training programme for my malinois and I that we can do at her pace?
I live in South Wales, UK and have very limited options for trainers, none of which are suited to train a malinois puppy, or have the type of training techniques I am looking for. We had a few in person sessions with an ex police dog trainer but did not work out.
I am looking to build a strong bond with my dog (we rescued her a month ago) and keen to build drive in toys, to tap into her working line. My malinois does mantrailing but would also like to expand my training knowledge and skills, and wondering if the STSK9 MVP Programme could do that for me. I am looking to train different heel styles and also the “flashy” commands, as she LOVES learning new commands and gets a lot out of it.
Please let me know if you have done any of the STSK9 programmes and what you thought of them? Or if you could recommend other programmes from different trainers with similar style, please let me know!
Here is my mali girl. She is from a rescue and is approx 4/5 months old. I have had her for about a month now and looking for a strong flat collar or martingale. Ideally looking for something that will grow with her as I would prefer to avoid buying multiple collars. Any suggestions that have seen your pup through their growth? We are UK based.
I have a working line line GSD who uses a flat collar with cobra clip but the brand of collar doesn’t have anything suitable to grow with my mali.
We have this 4 month old rescue mali girl. Her current name is Dolores, however, she was given this name after arriving at the shelter last month, so is not used to it yet.
Looking for a name that suites her that isn’t too cutesy. Would also prefer a 1 or 2 syllable name as anything more is too long for training. We currently have her on foster with hope to adopt, pending on how my German Shepherd takes to her in the house environment.
