How did the woman who warns Bill know?

All the guests and women initiates were busy and have no idea how or when Bill arrived. They couldn’t know that he arrived via a taxi cab unless they’re all wearing earpieces to communicate.

So how did she (“Mandy”) know that Bill “doesn’t belong here”? Who told her, and how?

She was occupied in the “circle of initiates”, and then immediately walked over to Bill when dispatched in quiet.

So who told her, how does she know, and how’d she find out so quickly? An earpiece??

Feeling Pressured by the Waitress Standing Over You with the POS Terminal?

I miss the days when the waiter or waitress would give you some privacy after dropping off the check, allowing you to decide things like how you’re paying (cash or credit card), which card to use, and how much you want to tip.

Now, everything feels rushed because the waiter or waitress stands directly over you, holding the POS terminal. They purposely don’t let go because they want you to make a quick tip decision based on their predetermined options: 18% = OK SERVICE, 20% = GOOD SERVICE, or 23% = GREAT SERVICE.

They don’t want you to have the time or privacy to customize the tip. It’s basic pressure dynamics, and it’s on full display.

So, if you find it difficult to ask the waiter or waitress to leave the POS terminal with you, I think the easiest thing to do is simply say, “I’m paying the tip in cash.” That way, they know you’ll need to select “No Tip” on the POS terminal. You can then tap your card for the regular bill, and the waiter or waitress will walk away.

Now you have the privacy to leave a cash tip for as much or as little as you want, without being pressured by the percentages on the screen.

Preferably 15%. I’ve never understood how everyone suddenly decided that 20% is the new norm.

Any other way you guys handle that situation without feeling like you’re being rude?

Kylie Jenner is like Tofu. Absorbing the flavor of Timothee

It’s amazing that there’s always one of the Kardashians at a major sporting event. And it’s never because they truly like the sport. They’re only there because of the man they’re with. That makes the Kardashians tag-a-longs! They’re like TOFU and take the flavor of the guy they’re with. Kim did it with Kanye by absorbing his fashion taste. She has poor taste before him. Kylie was never seen at basketball games until dating Tim, and now she’s at the World Cup Final because of him. They’re TOFU

What if there was a slower goodbye to discs?

Sony is clearly trying to move away from physical media. But what if they waited and got rid of the disc drive and game discs for the PS7 instead (I’m guessing that would be around the year 2037)?

We can’t expect discs in 2037, right?

The bandaid clearly has to come off, but would it hurt less if they remove it for the PS7, or should discs never go away?

Arkansas waitress fired for not sharing her $4,400 tip with co-workers. Owner wanted a cut also!

I’m wondering what my fellow EndTipping buddies think/thought of this story?

So the wait-staff never shared tips before… all tips were their own, individually earned and kept.

But now they want her to share.

And the part that gets me the most is that the owner thinks he’s entitled to some of it!!

SAM LEVINSON will be on Real Time with Bill Maher this Friday night

I’m not gonna lie, I was shocked to see Sam’s name as one of the guests on Real Time with Bill Maher. Does Sam often do talk shows, let alone one that’re more “panel” driven? I’ve never even seen Sam on the Jimmy Kimmel or Jimmy Fallon show.

So, is Sam Levinson promoting something new, or promoting the final season of Euphoria?

I outed a restaurant for their tip-trap in my Google review. Here’s their reply.

Went to a restaurant and noticed something sneaky.

When the paper check came, the suggested tip amounts at the bottom were 20%, 22%, and 25%. Traditionally, 15% is standard, but that’s not even the main issue. Their “20%” suggestion was calculated after tax, not before. That’s a trap! Tipping is supposed to be based on the pre‑tax amount.

And it doesn’t stop there. You don’t leave your card with the check; instead, the server stands over you with a payment tablet while you pay at the table. You have to manually adjust the tip yourself in front of them.

So that’s three ways they quietly push for a higher tip:

• Lowest option is 20%
• Calculated on post‑tax total
• Pressure from hovering during payment

Calling God “she” is performative and pretentious

It’s pretentious to insist on calling God “she.” Not because God is a man (that’s just as silly) but because the whole “God is a she” thing is so obviously forced. It’s not spiritual enlightenment. It’s not deep theology. It’s a linguistic stunt meant to make everyone else in the room notice how enlightened you think you are.

Using “He” for God isn’t about imagining some bearded sky‑dad with a Y chromosome. It’s the same as using “mankind” to mean “humanity.” Nobody hears “mankind” and thinks “only dudes.” Nobody hears “He” for God and imagines a literal male body. The capital H exists specifically to separate it from the everyday “he.”

The whole point is that God (if you believe in one) isn’t a person with pronouns. The anthropomorphism is already a metaphor. So flipping it to “she” just makes the metaphor louder and weirder and makes you sound like you’re giving theater-kid energy. Knock it off!

Attempt at a Guilt Tip?!?

OMG! “Good” was their way of saying, “18%”.

Good. Excellent. Outstanding.

I believe “Outstanding” is 25%.

That’s some bullshit. If she brought over two hamburgers instead of the large plates we got, she still would have frequented the table the same amount of time, but that 18% would have been much lower.

Why should the price of food we get determine the size of the tip? Shouldn’t it be the number of times they come to the table to “work” (serve) us?

What happened to Ellie being “activated”?!

In the EXTRAS for Episode 1, Season 1, one‑hit‑wonder Craig Mazin practically celebrates Ellie being “activated” by violence. He literally says it in the behind‑the‑scenes video. So what happened to that version of Ellie — the one who was supposed to be dangerous, sharp, and unflinching?

Instead, by Season 2, she’s written like someone’s exhausted suburban “dad”. All that early promise (the edge, the ferocity, the spark) flushed straight down the toilet and into a septic tank. The show teased a badass and then handed us a watered‑down character who feels nothing like the Ellie we were told to expect. Dina ended up being the badass in S2!!

What do you think it will average on Metacritic?

We should start seeing reviews on the 25th… perhaps. What do you think it the average grade/score will be on Metacritic?
