Are there other operators that prefer clean older machines than new ones?

This is my 1997 cat 16h, she aint new (56000 hours) but she’s well cared for. Every time i turn the key the 3406 purrs like a kitten and never throws a code to my face like the newer ones i’ve been in the past. Am i the only one to prefer older pre-electronic machinery? I don’t need a computer to work on it, i only need my trusty toolbox and the knowledge I gained by listening to experienced operators and mechanics. Been operating that same machine for six years and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.

I finally saw the cf-105 avro arrow in person

The last remaining cockpit and nose section (from airframe RL-206) at the Canada aviation and space museum. There is something special about reading so much on a plane and finally seeing it up close. Sadly no complete airframe remains today. (Source: OC)

WIBTAH if i refused to work due to no AC

I’m a forestry heavy equipment operator, more precisely on a 1999 cat 16h grader. My ac stopped working and all the heat from hydraulics goes straight in the cab, it can go up to 50 Celsius in there. If i open the doors i get all the dust from the gravel roads in, it’s been three shifts and I already cough like i never have with a lot of secretions. I also been way too close to having a heatstroke yesterday (extreme headache, stopped sweating and shivering in extreme heat) I don’t want to screw my health up because the mechanics don’t want to repair it, they said the machine works fine and I don’t need AC since i’m currently on the night shift(for this week, i do two week on day two weeks on night). I am seriously considering refusing to work, i’ve never missed a shift in 6 years of working here, i used to love my job but this situation makes it hard to appreciate work. So WIBTAH for refusing to work in these conditions?

Edit: I’m on my way to park it, i just saw 6 vehicles full with families inside, I can’t risk to make a mistake and have an accident with someone because i’m not mentally there or if i pass out. A 50k pounds machine doesn’t forgive against a pick up truck, it’s a beautiful weekend, I don’t want to ruin a family vacation or end someone’s life due to my workplace’s blatant ignorance of safety rules. It’s a huge safety concern of mine and every other road users, i’m in a prime spot for outdoors activities so there’s a lot of people on the road, i’m not taking the chance.

How do i make these squares go away

I tried verifying the integrity of the game files, all my mods are disabled, i tried to look if there was a debug option on but nothing. It’s driving me mad, did i miss something? It is so annoying, I haven’t played since b41, it was running amazingly without these freaking squares, but I relaunched the game on b42 and this is how it looks.

Tips for nordschleife tunes

So i have been trying to do some sub 6 minutes laps with the group C corvette on the nurb but obviously i need to tune my car. I’ve never really understood how to do it efficiently and on the nordschleife, testing a tune can be extremely time consuming, is there a way to easily tune and see changes for a complete newbie. So far i’ve managed to hit the walls or do a 6:09 at best. I’m stuck and don’t have that much time to put into testing. The world record is a 5:41 so i know it’s possible to go under 6 minutes, i just don’t know how to reach it.
Edit: it wasn’t a 6:09 but a 6:19 a while ago, since then i can’t get under 6:30s, i wasn’t doing time trials but test days, i thought it was the world record with the car that was displayed but it’s the class record, i have so much to learn still… but going under 6 minutes in a group c is and will be my objective.

What if we turned waterbombers into firebombers

Just hear me out, what if instead of putting water or fire retardant into a cl-415 we put fuel or napalm in them… would it hypothetically work. They say it’s multi-purpose, so instead of putting out fires it would drop it on tree lines. I believe the trees would stop speaking real quick. As a Canadian i believe it could be a real neat addition to the geneva checklist

That’s how we sink carriers around here (RTB is never an option)

It is my first time trying to record and somehow the audio keeps messing up, my editing skills only make it worse sorry about that.
