"Guilters" in the minority: A Reminder

"Guilters" in the minority: A Reminder

Question: As far as you know, are any sexual assault allegations against Michael Jackson true?

NO: 24%

NOT SURE: 56%

YES: 19%

And then I found another set of polls revealing that the impact of Leaving Neverland was pretty paltry, too.

Before seeing Leaving Neverland, 48% said that Robson and Safechuck's cases should NOT be reopened on appeal.

And what was that number AFTER seeing LN?

49%.

So the number of people saying NO to their allegations being reconsidered actually went up by 1%.

These are even more interesting if you look at the age brackets.

In 2019, Millennials were the agegroup most sympathetic to Robson & Co (according to these numbers).

But even so, after LN went to air, 41% of them said NO to Robson & Co getting their appeal.

Generation X? Before the release of LN, 53% said NO.

After LN, that was still 46%.

And the Boomers (who let's face it, have been through a few more rodeos than the rest of us)?

Before LN, 54% of them said NO thank you to another round of dragging Michael through the courts.

Funnily enough, LN didn't help the motley crew of Dan Greed with the grandpa's and grandma's of America.

After it aired, their NO THANK YOU SIRS went up to 57%.

Have a look at the chart in the link - there's more good news still in it.

And as usual, ignore the headline - completely.

Rebbie Jackson explains what it was like growing up with 11 people in a 2 bedroom house

Nobody in their right mind thinks that this is sexual behaviour.

It causes a lot of confusion, understandably because in the 2020s we have a heightened awareness of child exploitation.

But the bottom line is: sleep and sex are two totally different things. Try doing both at once if you don't believe me 😆

Michael couldn't understand why people would think such disgusting things.

He really was naive about some things - he was very religious, and his children were always extremely well disciplined and polite.

Dr Dieter Speck on German TV: Does anyone know if the full video is on Youtube?

It's in Square One but I thought someone here might know, before I try to contact Danny Wu.

The owner of this YouTube channel doesn't have contact information.

I'd like to see the whole discussion ...

Darls Centola - anyone else reading her book?

So far it's amazing, and I absolutely trust this lady.

She's been criticised of course ("You made him out to be too nice" lol, the truth is so disappointing for some people).

She kept a detailed daily journal her entire life so there's no memory fumbling.

I'm really enjoying this book!

(The interview above is a good introduction.)

The insurance company paid the settlement

https://web.archive.org/web/20190405023735/http://www.sbscpublicaccess.org/docs/ctdocs/032205mjmemospprtobj.pdf

I found this motion from the defense approved by Judge Melville to exclude the Chandler settlement from evidence - it contains a lot of detailed information about the insurance company footing the bill.

You can read the whole document and I've added a screenshot of the basic facts in the comments below.

It states explicitly that the insurance company forced the settlement over Michael's objections, and it explains that they had the legal right to do that and that they were responsible for making the payments.

I feel like if Michael had wanted to settle, Judge Melville would have wanted the jury to see that.

I'd love to hear what other people think.

Where does this quote come from?

Can anyone tell me where this quote comes from exactly? Please?

I can't find a source on the web and the video I screenshotted doesn't explain ...

Great quote I would love to know where and how Michael said this!

"Where there's smoke there's fire"

Charles Thomson once called this "the mating call of the moron."

Rules of thumb that get us around in everyday life have to be treated with caution when getting it wrong could have serious consequences - like judging an innocent person to be guilty.

This old English proverb has big logical problems.

It can be one logical fallacy, or it can be up to five logical fallacies combined - the ones listed above.

Sorry to use AI but this is one of the things it is actually good for. Hopefully people can save the screenshot.

Michael Jackson Academic Studies

I think it's important to highlight the academic field of Michael Jackson Studies.

Michael was an extremely serious and respected artist with a massive impact on our culture.

Three authors off the top of my head:

Elizabeth Amisu, the author of The Dangerous Philosophies of Michael Jackson: His Music, His Persona, and His Artistic Afterlife.

Susan Fast, the author of Dangerous.

Joseph Vogel, author of Man in the Music: The Creative Life and Work of Michael Jackson and other books about Michael's artistic legacy.

Who made this movie?

Has anyone checked how many documentaries we already have? I think I've seen about thirty. They blend together.

Not this one though.

Thoroughly and patiently puts together the picture of Robson's relationship with Michael, and the unconditional favours Michael always did when Wade or his mother asked.

Walks through the 1993 furore, the trial testimony and Robson's career developments, Britney Speers and all.

Itemises the changes he went through after Michael's death, with documentation.

Brings you up to 2019 with everything in place.

Brandi Jackson isn't left out, neither is Scott Ross (I didn't know about that Nicole's View interview).

And I think I forgot Robson's father committed suicide.

Just a brilliant analysis of Leaving Neverland.

Please buy Jolanda a coffee if you can!

Why didn't I know the great documentary was already here? 😳

Dan Karaty's next piece - Monday 📢

Shortly after the Cascio allegations became public early this year, an old friend of theirs AND Wade Robson's wrote this rebuttal piece explaining how impossible it is to believe them.

https://medium.com/@d.karaty/michaeljacksonbetrayed-c9a9b773151b

It's an important piece of evidence against the Cascios.

Dan's Instagram story just announced that he's got another piece coming on Monday with some "burning questions" for Michael's "second family".

What the Jury thought of those wretched books

This is a clip from the recent interview of Charles Thompson.

Charles has conducted around 200 hours of interviews related to the Jackson allegations.

Here he's talking about his conversation with the 2005 Jury Foreman, Paul Rodriguez.

Mr Rodriguez is known as one of the most conservative jurors, but he was also an amateur artist.

False accusations of sexual assault happen.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center estimates that between 2% and 10% of sexual assault allegations are falsified.

Even though I supported it, when #MeToo first appeared I remember having misgivings.

The presumption of innocence is fundamental to justice. It's not a recent invention. The burden of proof must lie with the accuser, or society falls apart, because any weakening of this principle opens a door to scammers and swindlers seeking financial "compensation".

In Michael's case - especially since his death - presumption of innocence has been denied to him.

And for some mysterious reason - almost nobody (other than his fans) has noticed.
