First effort at a visual novel- The Dead City (feedback appreciated!)

Hi all!

I’m primarily a painter and previously did film and theater- this is a whole new medium for me, which a good friend of mine suggested as a way to expand further on some of my interests. Anyhow I would very much appreciate it if any of you would like to have a look, comment on it or even support it.

It’s about Hugues Viane who comes to the Dead City for refuge in his grief after the death of his wife, although something is coming to disrupt his lonely walks among the gloomy canals.

Adapted from the dark Symbolist novel Bruges-la-Morte.

It’s on VNDB at https://vndb.org/v68146

First effort- The Dead City (feedback appreciated)

Hey y’all- like the post says, this is my first effort to make something like this, and I would very much appreciate feedback on it. I made it with Twine and categorized it as a visual novel, but I’m not totally sure that’s the best way to describe it.

It’s a new adaptation of a dark Symbolist novel called Bruges-la-morte and is sort of a collage of the novel text, some original text material, photographs and video fragments of my own, and some public domain audio and video.

You can try it here, and comment and/or support it if you wish:

Thanks!!!

Anyone try these new Meeden square oil pastels yet?

Wondering if they are good and how they compare to the other Meeden oil pastels.
