Images I found on Twitter, “free adoptable raffle” characters. Is this real? (I doubt it is)

The Twitter account got nuked or deactivated by the owner, so I won’t link the source.

When I first saw these, I didn‘t look at them too closely and entered the raffle, before reverting it after a VTuber artist whose name I can’t remember pointed out that these were likely AI generated in the replies.

Also, I would like to note that I am an artist myself, I know (somewhat) how to spot AI generated images, I know what I’m talking about.

I made a thread dissecting these images on my private twitter account, so let me repeat the things I said there and add a few things:

— New artist shows up out of nowhere with no accounts connecting to the username (which I won’t list as some people would likely be compelled to harass them, which would only make things worse!) and no/very small backlog of past art

There was an “old art” post that got no attention, but that also could have been generated and/or traced from AI. I don’t count a single image claiming to be old art as proof. There was also a $70 USD Chibi adoptable that got some attention, but not much.

The images 4, 5 and 6 are me dissecting the photos, so let me explain why i Red Outlined it:

GAL 1

The first thing that stuck out to me was the hair. I am an artist myself who has seen many AI images to train myself on how to spot them, and let me tell you: AI does NOT know how hair works. The hair is a melty mess, with looping hairstrands galore (though you can argue that her hair is simply curly).

The bow on the left side of the image looks like its missing the other half, or its going behind her hair, which wouldn’t make much sense.

One hand has 3 fingers when the other has 4. This error is present in Gal 2 as well.

Also, the clover is. Going over a line??? I don’t think it should be doing that. Also, the spacing of the clovers is inconsistent.

GAL 2

3 fingers on one hand, 4 on the other.

Ruffles on shorts are melting/make no sense.

I didn’t redline it because of it possibly being intentional, but the stockings stripes aren’t symmetrical at all.

Eyelashes melting into hair somewhat on the left side (not outlined because I didn’t immediately notice it until I made the face closeups)

The pink flower things don’t make any sense to be here, and the tiny one is MELTING.

Inconsistent detailing on the shoes (one has a buckle while the other doesn’t, bows aren’t equally detailed)

GAL 3

Legs are broken! So very broken! She’s in pain, save her!

One eyebrow has 2 lines when the other has 1.

Her tail disappears behind her leg, and her sweater collar disappears behind her necklace. Generative AI has an issue with object permanence.

Also, she has heavier shadows than the other 2 girls.

The second to last image is to compare the faces. Tell me: for reasons other than the brush, do these look like one person drew these? With the multiple eyebrows and how different the eye rendering is, I’d have to say no. Not one person would draw these eyes all so differently.

The final image is a few of the faces I have drawn recently, about 3 weeks ago? It exists to compare the two, to compare AI to human. You can see the faces have CONSISTENCY. Outside of the eye shines. You can tell “hey someone made all of those!”, which you can’t with the likely AI ones.

Also, I suspect a LoRA was used in making this, given the slightly consistent art style. If someone could tell me which artist the hypothetical LoRA was trained off of, please inform me! I would greatly appreciate it, because this is a very charming art style!

Anyways, does anyone agree that these are AI? Or am I just nitpicking??

Does anyone else want a twist villain Cure?

I mean, we already have a villain Cure in Cure Arcana Shadow, and quite a few cures who are redeemed villains. Would having a Cure be a twist villain be a natural evolution of the Villain Cure idea?

I’d imagine it would have to be an older Cure (maybe?) who has been a cure longer than the main team (obviously). Maybe a mentor character? That’s just my idea though…

What would the Ultimate Track Star's lab even be???

So one of my characters in my fangan, Inori Yamashita, is the Ultimate Track Star. In the old version, her lab was just the gym. Because why would a cruise ship have a track field in there???

On the off chance I bring back the Ultimate labs, I want to give her a PROPER one that isn't Generic School Gym #53.

Any ideas?

Is this a good way to decide a death order and who survives? (this is sort of just me ranting about why I chose the death order for one of my fangans)

I decide my death orders based off of the ideas I have for cases and shaping the story around it. Most of the time, the survivors are either A) characters who, if they died, would make another character's death or their development completely pointless, B) characters I liked too much before writing the reasons they survive, or C) characters that ended up surviving because I didn't do anything with them in the death order.

I'll be using my main project, Liars Game, as an example for this since it's the most fleshed out one with my favorite OCs. Hence the spoiler warning. Though nobody will really care at the end of the day.

For Chapter One, when I first made the idea two years ago (wow time flies), Inori and Mikoto were never really intended to survive. I made them with the first case in mind way back when I wasn't nearly as good as a writer as I am now.
Mikoto is the protagonist's childhood friend character, and Inori (when I first made her) was made with the intention of reminding people of Aoi and Akane for some reason? It was supposed to set up the idea that she would survive, with her design and Ultimate... which was kind of dumb, but I was kind of dumb 2 years ago. In her current iteration, she's set up to be a support character before dying first.
And I do plan for both of them to haunt the narrative. Mikoto will probably do it more, since he knew the protagonist (Akito) for a full decade before the killing game happens. For Inori, I haven't fleshed it out much, but the idea is that some of the characters (i haven't decided who, but it'll probably be Makiko and Xiao) will try to imitate Inori's leadership of the group to honor her death.

Chapter 2 was... honestly, I don't remember my original idea for this case. But the main thing is that the two deaths, Karin and Hiroyuki, cause development in the people who were closest to them (Hana and Yui) and end up resulting in the next 2 cases since they both went on a downwards spiral mentally after their deaths, due to them both getting extremely attached to the people around them at breakneck speeds.
Though originally Hana wasn't in the killing game, and I ended up replacing a character who was completely useless and basically died a perfect victim with her.

Chapter 3 was originally "Kasumi kills Xiao who then gets killed by Kenji and Kenji is executed," but then I thought "imagine if the others just have to deal with a killer just being around and there being nothing they can do about it," so I decided Kenji wouldn't be executed for the murder and Kasumi would be considered the culprit.
Then I remembered Yuna's existence, added her in, and completely rewrote the case but have the victims be the same. Now Yui kills Xiao (so I don't have the people most affected by Chapter 2 die in the same chapter) and her being considered the culprit, with Kenji and Kasumi getting into a fight and Kenji killing Kasumi because Kasumi is a VTuber who isn't that strong in comparison to Kenji. Yui dies a chapter earlier than she originally did, but still as the culprit.

Chapter 4. It's probably my least favorite in comparison to the rest, but I haven't written much out beyond how the murder happens. The idea was "what if Hana ends up being driven to murder but fails miserably as a result of her own physical weakness?" (for reference Hana grew up in hospitals due to chronic illnesses caused by her being born prematurely.) Yui was originally the culprit, but I changed it to Daisuke, who was originally Chapter 5's victim, who is now the culprit because 1) one of my friends said that they thought Daisuke would die as either the Chapter 3 or 4 culprit, and 2) Daisuke was unfitting for being the Chapter 5 victim, since he isn't all too important to the story nor does he serve an antagonistic role like you would expect from a fifth chapter.
So I made Daisuke the culprit! Yayyy...

Chapter 5 has Yuna be the victim and Dima be the culprit.
I did take some inspiration from Danganronpa Another (and its sequel) with this (I'm not spoiling the exact twists, but you'll probably be able to figure it out given Yuna joins the group later than the others). And Dima was, at the end of the day, always intended to be a culprit. If you're wondering why, it's because he 1) could have a fire ass execution (even if it would be obvious what it would be about), and 2) he plays a supportive role throughout most of the game, he's kind of like the Kyoko/Chiaki/Kaito of the story, the support characters, the protagonist's sidekick (i also have two other characters who could take up this role, since I plan for Dima to also be a bit antagonistic with his arc? idk i just like it when the rival characters laugh manically).
I also plan for Yuna to take on a more antagonistic role (she's kind of like if Dima and Karin fused together), so her being the fifth victim would make sense, even if she wouldn't get as much screentime.

For the survivors and their reasons for surviving.
Akito is the protagonist. Him surviving is because he's based off of Makoto and Hajime, both in design (lighter skin, short brown hair, green as their main color) and writing (he reflects Makoto more than Hajime but also takes some inspiration from Basil (OMORI) and Sayori (DDLC).)
Kikue... Kikue is a mix of "I liked her too much" and "her death would render Xiao's pointless and would ruin her character arc." If she WERE to die, she would replace Yuna as the fifth victim since Kikue is the main antagonist character (well before Xiao dies, then she tries to stop being an asshole to honor Xiao's death and her wish for Kikue to get better). That or she dies second because everyone was so pissed at her and wanted her gone.
Etsuo? Oh yeah I just like them too much LMAOOO
Now I do have more of a reason for them to survive NOW then a year ago (they were the "mole" of the group, forced to by the mastermind like Sakura was, and I tried to make them contribute heavily to the trials, especially the 3rd and 5th), but when I was deciding the death order I just thought "ykw I love them so they get to survive".
Kenji wasn't meant to survive in earlier drafts, but I do feel like him surviving would answer a question of "what if a blackend survives the killing game?"
Hitoshi was just a result of him being not touched in the death order, but now that I have ideas for how I will take his character, I think him surviving would make a bit more sense.
Makiko, in an older version of her character, was literally unable to be killed unless all of her body was destroyed (magic of being a bioweapon I guess). She's also the Harukawa of Liars Game. Her real Ultimate gets revealed in Chapter 2 (though hers happens earlier at near the start of the chapter, before she reveals it to the rest of her cast on her own terms either after the trial or mid-Daily Life), she plays a supporting role, and she survives. Surface-level comparisons, but they're there.
(also, her name being Makiko was a coincidence, she was originally named March, but I renamed her to fit in better with the cast to fit her new lore)

...so yeah, is this a good way to decide the death order?

EDIT: screw it im adding on some ramblings about the Earlier Stages Of Writing because i Want to. uhh scroll past this to the comments if you dont want to read it or something idk im not you

so originally Mikoto and Inori's roles in case 1 were swapped. i ended up making Mikoto the culprit who kills Inori because i felt that her original execution (which was somewhat a gingerman reference) and her design was too similar to a character from Danganronpa Another. Before I even knew it existed.
that and I felt Mikoto being a culprit would have a better emotional payoff.

also, the deciding of the death order for 4+5 was a MESS when i first made (and supposedly finalized, supposedly because i made these decisions back in September) the death order.
For whatever reason, Hana was going to be the chapter 5 victim and Daisuke the chapter 4 victim. then i swapped it around and it stayed that way for a while.
then Yuna came along and I adjusted the death order to accommodate for her barging in (and give it a bit of a refresh since I wasn't too satisfied with chapter 4 and 5)

originally, when I made him, Dima was going to be the 5th victim (idk who would kill him though? but it was a death that 8th grade me considered "gory" and "brutal" which is nothing in comparison to the deaths in some fangans, ifykyk. i just know he (consensually???) was stabbed, his wrists pinned to the wall with knives, and kept in a freezer which made no sense. then i started brainstorming execution ideas and LOVED what I came up with for Dima's (even though having the puppeteer be a puppet in their execution is the obvious choice), and made him the culprit.

(i also had the idea (that i still love) that his final words could be "Did I put on a good show?" or something.... aauuugh Dmitri i love you dearly)

im so glad i changed dimas design from that UGLY tracksuit jacket and jean shorts. (the only thing that is relatively similar to his older design is his hair)

What is your favorite type of character to see in a Fanganronpa?

I'll go first.

I. LOVE. ANGRY. CHARACTERS!!!!!!

I love characters who just get to be unapologetic assholes who are just mean and annoy everyone and just get to be PISSED OFF. I love it when the characters get to scream and argue with others and oh my god.

I also just. Like characters who are Rude, intentionally or not. I love mean characters!

Even better when these types of characters end up as the protagonist (of which I have yet to see, minus a certain Damon Maitsu...)

Yet another batch of OCs!

Rin believes she is a god in a mortal body who can speak to other gods.

The Mukade twins are an idol and a manager and are horrifyingly codependent. And also have accessories that reference the other (Manami with her moon pin, Mizuki with the heart imagery)

Second batch

How good of a theme would Identity vs Perception be?

Identity vs Perception, to me, means "who you are" vs "how others see you".

And how I came up with it was thinking about my cast of characters for one of my fangans, Liars Game (of which I have begun to rewrite because the prologue made me cringe rereading it). Because I made the cast before deciding the theme and noticed a pattern that most of the characters have something different with others perception of them in comparison to who they are. There are definitely a few exceptions, but it applies to most of them.

What is your personal pet peeve in a fanganronpa?

I'll go first: when the BDAs are overly gory for the sake of pure shock value and nothing else. >!(cough cough t*tro blue cough cough)!<

EDIT: I might as well elaborate on the overly gory deaths for shock value thing. If you have a good reason that makes sense and multiple people agree that it makes sense, go ahead. It really just mildly irritates me.

I came up with this motive just after I woke up, how good is it?

Basically: pollen that makes everyone act erratically and recklessly.

The idea is that everyone acting this way would eventually lead to someone dying, whether by accident or not. I plan for this motive to be a factor in the 4th case of one of my fangans (Liars Game), as I was struggling to come up with a reason for the murder to even happen.

I would like to also add: it is pollen. Pollen is a common allergy. And one of the cast members (Dima) is allergic to pollen.

I would like to add that the mastermind (the person behind Monobunny) is kind of an idiot. And I cannot delve into reasons why because that is a big fat spoiler for obvious reasons. And I think it's funny that Monobunny didn't sit to think "oh hey what if one of my students has a common allergy?" and just greenlit this motive.

"How did they get the pollen to act this way?" they laced the pollen with something. I don't know how. It could have been just a gas, but no.

HOW DO I REWRITE THIS CASE???? HELP

Some placeholder names before we start, to avoid spoiling the story.
Culprit = Tsukasa
The person who did the first injury = Honami
Protagonist = Rui
Victim = Madoka
Rui and Tsukasa are childhood friends.

This is supposed to be the first trial of the fangan I'm working on.

Okay, so first of all, I need to explain the original plan for this case.

Basically, Honami would see Rui moving things that can be used as weapons to his room about two days prior to the actual events of the case. Honami sees this and uses it to her advantage as a (frankly poor) way to frame him. One day later, the motive is introduced, and Honami has an excuse to do what she does (her real reason is Fucking Around And Finding Out If Her Actions Actually Have Consequences, which is a story for another time), and she slides a note under Rui's door pretending to be Madoka, asking him to go to the library's archive room in the morning. The next morning, Rui goes and is promptly knocked out from behind with a giant ass book. Honami steals his room key, goes to his room when nobody's looking, steals a small weapon from Rui's room that is Sharp and Easy To Carry, goes to the infirmary, before waiting for a few hours. Eventually Madoka comes in, looking for headache meds, and gets stabbed once in the abdomen and is left to bleed out, throws the room key under a bed, runs out, and Tsukasa ends up seeing Honami leave, walks in, thinks Rui did it, panics and finishes off Madoka before leaving. Madoka wasn't the intended target for Honami and the fact that she pretended to be Madoka in the note was a coincidence, but then again, there wasn't an intended target for Honami in the first place.

All fine and dandy, right?

Well, here's one thing that I recently decided. Tsukasa is blind. He can still see, but it's all extremely blurry and he basically sees exclusively blobs. This is reflected in the fact that his irises are both almost completely white (only one was before the change, but I decided to change it because I thought it would be interesting and nice, as well as his pupils also having very little pigment in them). And now I have to rewrite this case because the reason he did it was because Tsukasa SAW the body and thought Rui did it, and that can't work because Tsukasa CAN'T SEE.

My idea/draft for the rewrite is either A) Honami noticed Tsukasa when she left, paused in her tracks for long enough for Tsukasa to notice, so she blurts out "Rui did it", Tsukasa goes in, hears Madoka being In Pain And Bleeding Out, and decides to end her suffering (Tsukasa knows Rui didn't do it but wanted to mercy-kill Madoka), or B) Honami somehow manipulates Tsukasa into killing Madoka specifically and frames Rui unknowingly.

HOW DO I REWRITE THIS CASE TO MAKE MORE SENSE??? I'm probably going to go for Option A since it's closer to the original case.

How good of an idea would this be for a 3rd case?

OK SO. I want to follow the 3-deaths-in-the-third-chapter formula for one of my fangans, and I got this idea.

What if one of the deaths was just a freak accident caused by something falling over or something but was still somehow connected to the other death? I don't really have any ideas. Maybe it was caused by an unfinished trap the culprit scrapped when the 1st victim walked in and would end up causing the murder to be obvious, but the trap still went off somehow (maybe by someone else/the mastermind tinkering with it for the sake of their own entertainment) and someone else ended up dead.

I don't really know what I'll do, but this idea crossed me. The other idea was both deaths being completely unrelated to the other's and one of the culprits not being executed, but that seems a bit lame.

Thoughts?

I'm going to be honest, I think Kanade is poorly written.

And I'm mostly talking about her in Chapter 3. In Chapter 1 and 2, she (from what I remember) is presented as shy and a bit odd and morbid and such. But then in Chapter 3, she suddenly becomes effectively a different person who is suddenly perfect at everything and is also better at singing than the Ultimate VOCALIST with no buildup and is also suddenly a serial killer who SOMEHOW killed over 60 people.

Yeah, it's clear she got a rewrite between chapters 2 and 3. I read somewhere that her original plan was for her to secretly have despised Hibiki? And honestly, I would have preferred that version. It would be more in line with the Kanade that we see in 1 and 2.

She (in Chapter 3) kind of reminds me of >!Betty from Glitchtale!<. Characters who are presented as shy and/or innocent who turn out to be evil and perfect in every way possible and also kill a lot of people and are basically Mary Sues (not to insult LINUJ's writing, he's overall pretty good at that).

I really like Kanade even then, it's perfectly fine to like badly written characters, but she's still poorly written. I'm shocked not too many people can see it.

And I'm not saying you can't like her. Again, I like her a lot! She's one of my favorites in the game. I just think she, in Chapter 3, is pretty poorly written.

Anyways, I might as well do this: HOW I WOULD EXECUTE OR REWRITE HER CHARACTER IN CHAPTER 3.

  1. Make how she presents herself consistent with the previous two chapters, but have a subtle shift maybe 3/4ths of the way into the Daily Life when we see her.
  2. MAKE THE TRIAL SHORTER OH GOD WHY IS IT 5 HOURS LONG??????
  3. I would make her NOT PERFECT AT EVERYTHING???? The throwing thing can stay, since it's important to the murder plan and I really have no issues with that. But aside of that, she's not perfect at everything!
  4. Either A) make her NOT have a body count of 60, or B) reduce it to around 3 to 7. Something more believable.
  5. Maybe come up with a reason for the whole Hibiki Puppet thing that could be plausible in reality? Because it's physically not possible. Maybe Hibiki enters a dissociative state but instead of only doing what Kanade says, she'll follow any order she gets to the best of her ability.

If I got anything wrong, please correct me. It's 1 AM in my timezone. And goodnight.

EDIT: I woke up and saw 16 notifications in my inbox thing. Wow. Uhhh thanks for correcting me on this, I didn’t expect to get this much attention. I need to rewatch SDRA2.

Random idea for a fangan (MAJOR V3 SPOILERS)

(Not sure what flair to use. Anyways, spoilers for V3's ending.)

So: I really like V3. A lot. It is my favorite Danganronpa game overall. And my love for it, and the ending, is what inspired this idea.

A hypothetical Danganronpa V4 where Shuichi, Maki and Himiko failed to take down Team DR and another Danganronpa happened.

Team Danganronpa ended up having to go through a budget cut after losing profit over the ending of V3 and they 1) decided to replace Monokuma with a hologram AI girl with a simpler AI that's easier to manage so they don't have to go through the Motherkuma bullshit with the mastermind (since that's one of the things that got Tsumugi cought long before v3 was planned to end), 2) decided to widen the age range of the contestants to 15-23, and 3) made the season gimmick an all-female cast.

The working title is Danganronpa 54 Spring Storm, or ダンガンロンパ54:絶望の女子学園 (Girls Academy of Despair) for the JP title (like how the localizations have significantly simpler titles compared to the Japanese taglines? I wanted to replicate that with the magic of Google Translate). Something like that.

^((and yes, the Spring Storm is in reference to the song by John. It was my favorite song for a while. Go listen to it!))

The characters names and Ultimates:

Sachiko Ozawa, the Ultimate Classical Musician (age 18)
Tsunagu Fushihara, the Ultimate Aikido Instructor (age 19)
Akari Hanabi, the Ultimate Pyrotechnician (age 17)
Hairi Nonaka, the Ultimate Inventor (age 16)
Mishika Mangetsu, the Ultimate Soldier (age 23)
Yuki Furukawa, the Ultimate Glow Poi Dancer (age 18)
Momoka Momoi, the Ultimate Debate Team Leader (age 17)
Rin Kagami, the Ultimate Spirit Medium (age 21)
Tomoe Kusanagi, the Ultimate Artist (age 15)
Kana Kurogane, the Ultimate Glaciologist (age 17)
Nori Miya, the Ultimate Dekochari Gang Leader (age 18)
Haruka Sakuragi, the Ultimate Kindergarten Teacher (age 19)
Manami Mukade, the Ultimate Manager (age 20)
Mizuki Mukade, the Ultimate Idol (age 20)
Aeka Saito, the Ultimate Voice Actress (age 17)
and there's also an Ultimate Jewler character who I haven't decided the name of and I'm getting my friend to design her <3 i just know that she's 22 and that she has dark teal hair and i love her already

Notes and fun facts:

Sachiko protagonist, Tsunagu support, and Jewler character antagonist.

Mizuki and Manami are twins and are VERY codependent, one cannot exist without the other. I have this idea where one of them accidentally kills the other (preferably Mizuki accidentally killing Manami) for a second case and the other is so grief struck that the class think's they're innocent. For as obvious that it would be as a trial, the protagonist (in this case, Sachiko) would have to prove that the grief is proof that they DID do it

Tsunagu was initially the Ultimate Aikido Master, but I don't think Team DR would put MULTIPLE double talents in back-to-back seasons.

Tsunagu, Akari, and Yuki can all fall under the same category of character, but I'm working on differentiating them all. They're all very energetic, loud, and slightly dumb.

Hairi's idea was initially "stoic badass inventor with 3/4 of her limbs being amazingly detailed prosthetics" but I hated drawing them so now Hairi's an amputee who makes things specifically to convenience her and others in similar situation as her/others with similar disabilities.

Aeka is my self-insert and also the first victim because I don't think I'd survive that long if I was in Danganronpa. I would make her the Ultimate Artist, but that would be too on-the-nose and I want to learn how to voice act. (I've been juggling around who would kill her and I'm tempted to have the first culprit be Momoka and have the case be a parody of how so many Fangan creators have the BDA's be unnecessarily gory for the sake of pure shock value, like "their guts are spilling out and they've been dismembered" levels of gore (looking at you, Tetro Pink and Blue's Chapter 3s). But it could say something about how I see myself if I gave my self-insert the goriest death LMAO)

My idea for Haruka was my take on the "serial killer character" trope, where she only kills parents who she thinks will "corrupt the kids" she works with because she hates chaos and disorder so much.

Tsunagu and Mishika are cousins. They (as well as Hairi and the Jewler character) are blasian. They specifically are Japanese and Nigerian. (Hairi is Japanese-Mexican, and the Jewler I haven't fleshed out much yet.) They know of each other at the start of the game but haven't interacted in years, but they know each other by name thanks to their parents constantly talking to each other.

Momoka likes to act like she's a "Supreme Demon Overlord of Evil" for the fun of the game and is kind of like Gundham in that regard. Rin genuinely thinks that she's a goddess in a mortal shell and can communicate with other gods. I can't wait to actually write for both of them and see them interact.

I did steal several ideas from Tetro, mostly because 1) I don't like Tetro at all but damn it had some pretty good ideas in there, and 2) Erina should not have died when she did. She deserved a character arc and better writing. Nori's basically my take on her.

Not sure who the mastermind would be, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I'm tempted to just not have one, but I think Team Danganronpa would probably make one of them the mastermind for the sake of following the formula.

Anyways, any thoughts on this?

project spring storm, or something like that

so far, how good of an idea would this be?

(also, is this the correct flair???)

u/Funny_Scarcity9104 — 3 months ago

So I got hit with the "create more characters" beam.

Sachiko would be the protagonist, Tsunagu would be the support character.

I have some ideas for their personalities. Sachiko would be a bit more of a logical realist and tries to view things in an objective manner. Still, she's very kind-hearted and emotional, being easily swayed, as well as being a bit socially awkward. Tsunagu would be a goofball, dramatic, extroverted, and having absolutely no self-awareness.
