Can we now say this is most psyched and hyped the fan base has been since pre-Drones? Or is that recency bias? I am feeling things towards them I haven't in a long time personally...
Do we think "Hexagons" will get a proper MV too? Be performed live soon? Following a similar pattern to the " Cryogen" rollout? They seemed to act on the positive reaction to that one...so if they're checking in here (Dom, HELLO! 😏) and elsewhere, they'll see peak reaction from the last decade for this... What would you like the MV to look like? Has to be spacey, surely? The treasure hunt etc tell me, this song is important to them.
Every song on WOTP had either a MV/Visualiser/Live Performance Video. In recent years they've really recognised the importance of the visual aspect as YouTube's prominance has risen. Do you think we'll get a visual element for the whole album? Maybe even a film that lasts the length of the record? Would you like that? The video directors mentioned "a film"...
It's tough to wait...can you? Do you want another single pre album? I think it's 50/50...Either another single week of album or on release day... I think, matter what, I'm gonna wait now...I agree, half the album ahead would take a little freshness away...however, we are in a singles dominate (for reaction and tone setting) market over albums these days ...so it's possible they will...
What in June would you like to see the band doing to promote this LP? Zane Lowe? Jools Holland? Lots of press interviews in music mags/online publications and channels? Album launch live show like they used to do? Where should they go? Anything more unique like the treasure hunt? I'd love them to build on the atmospheric clip monologues pre BWY ...
I really loved the acoustic version of Unravelling and hoped they might decide to do an alt version of other tracks (or all!) I really loved ST alternate reality tracks and hoped they'd bring that back for this since the tracks are loud and heavy and some would work well with stripped/Alt mixes...

2 QUESTIONS :
Based solely on the first 3 tracks what do you give this "preview" of the album outta 10
AND what do you predict you'll give the full album outta 10?
I just listened to them back to back and while I was pretty cool on initial listens of BWY, taken as part of the album and actually coming directly after "Cryogen", I feel better about it and it has its place as an album track. Every album has one of these! It be a radio track...
So far, for me it's a 8.5/10 and I anticipate I'll give the full album a 8/10.
They're 2 for 3 on bangers and the guitar is present in all 3 tracks and very heavy in 2. IF (if!!) they have 2/3 more tracks on the level on "Unravelling" and "Cryogen", I feel this will go down as a later career resurgence. The reactors and feedback/reviews outside this fandom cave (😉) is fairly positive and I can see It being a well reviewed record by the rock press and Muse are fairly liked by media still...
It helps to have new ideas and fresh blood and I feel Matt working with Dan is giving the songs renewed energy and vigor, with Dan I feel pushing them to dig from what they do best from the past, while giving it modern flourishes and production touches....it's quite clear the impact he has had for me...kinda what a band like Muse should be doing in '26 IMO.
I'm feeling fairly positive this will be a good record and perhaps the best in a while...
