This is probably the most money I've ever dropped on video games in a single sitting. 😂

I was on vacation last weekend, and we had some time to kill, so I figured I'd pop into a local game store and see what they had. Holy shit, I don't think I've ever been to a game store that had so many NES games I didn't already own!

He worked with me on most titles to match or beat price charting since many were listed much higher. I'm not sure if it was because I spent so much or just luck, but they were super helpful.

I'm pretty sure I walked out with every single game they had that was missing from my collection. LOL.

It took me about a week to crack them all open, inspect and clean them, verify they're authentic, and test them. Thankfully, everything checked out and they all work great!

This haul officially puts my NES collection at 509 games. Getting closer and closer to that complete set! 🤘

Welp, August is finally over, and I have been mainly focused on Dreamcast all month. It looks like I acquired 28 games, all CIB—some Killer, some filler —but all needed for my complete North American set goal. Too many games for one picture, lol, and my bank account is crying, but I'm smiling. I would say one-third from local game shops and two-thirds from eBay. Most were priced below market according to Price Charting, and I scored quite a few deals from some great sellers. I still have a long way to go, but I am enjoying every step of the journey.

A life well lived. This isn't even half of the cabinet... Still got a ways to go..

Just snagged these guys from my LGS. Still need to clean and test. This puts me at around 190 for the NA Set. Some of these games are really starting to get up there in price for absolutely no good reason... Glad to finally have Snowboard Kids 1 in the collection though.

Got a sitter, wife is in her corner crafting, here is my Saturday evening plans. Cheers fellow dreamers.

I just made a post yesterday about my weekly pickups with my three Marvel games and space shuttle. I went to brunch with a buddy, had a couple of drinks, and was feeling schwifty, so I stopped by the LGS and basically picked up everything they had that I didn't. I might have went a bit overboard on one of these games.....

Currently trying to get every Marvel game for the NES so 3 of these are obvious. I actually think these might be the last three I needed. Then for the fourth game space shuttle project I seen it on someone else's post and realize I have never seen that game in my life so I swooped it up to check it out. Thanks for looking.

Wolverine, I knew I was in for a ride seeing that LJN logo, but my God...

Let's start with claws. I don't know why every game makes claw use limited when in every comic and cartoon, Wolverine has his claws out 24/7. So you lose "energy" with claw use, but what the heck happened to Wolverine's healing factor? It's his actual mutant ability. Nowhere to be seen in this pile of trash.

Next up, constant energy drain. In most games, you take damage upon contact and get a hit of damage with limited invincibility to make it past the obstacle. Not in this trash heap. You drain energy for every millisecond you're in contact with anything! Making everything a death threat.

Every level is a trail of some nonsense, then you FINALLY get to your first boss... Magneto! Pretty big name for your first boss. You start by punching electricity to get to Magneto, then about three hits, and he runs off like a wimp. Magneto, one of the most vile villains the X-Men have to offer. After, you get a cool cutscene with.... Jubilee, Psylocke, and Havok? so random...

Then the final boss, Sabretooth. I get it, Wolverine's arch-nemesis is the final boss. No biggie, but... HE'S INVINCIBLE!!! You have to lure him to the right, but there is a limit to how far he will move. So you then have to attack him so perfectly that he gets knocked off the edge... which is such a task, as he is constantly jumping behind you and when he isn't jumping, he is throwing... shurikens? What the actual heck? That's all he does... no claw swipe, no bites... Jump, and shurikens... Finally, when you knock him off the edge, you get like two 8-bit pics of Wolverine and a simple "The End." What a gyp... I basically paid 25 bucks to get cheated on and kicked in the balls.

The only saving grace is when you die, you respawn right where you died. so with Infinite lives the game is actually possible to complete...

TL;DR... screw Wolverine in his adamantium bunghole...

A few months ago my kid was playing my switch and then it would no longer turn on I kept on getting an error so I updated using a pretty recent YouTube video, the console now boots and all my content is still there but all of the games are hanging at this screen. I see reports about boot loops but I haven't been able to find anything similar to my problem. Does anyone know what's going on and how to solve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Haven't played/Owned a Dreamcast for over 20 years and I got the itch to get one, so I swung by my LGS on the way home from work and picked this up. How did I do?

Figured I'd save a couple hundo and swoop on this fine reproduction from LRG. Honestly not a fan of the company but this shipped within the week and arrived in 2 weeks. Was never going to get an authentic copy at market value so this was a swell compromise.
