Is it worth it to let my premium subscription lapse?

My current PS Plus Premium plan ends 7/2. I normally buy the year membership, but I was considering buying the 3-month option so that my subscription will end around black friday and I can maybe get a cheaper year deal. The problem is that my subscription will have to lapse for a few weeks. I've been a premium subscriber for years now and my subscrition has never lapsed before. Will I lose anything if my plan lapses? I'm pretty sure I'll gain access back to all of my claimed games, but what about my cloud saves, etc.? Is the deal worth it or should I just repurchase the year at the beginning of July at full price? I do play online games (Dead by daylight, OW, etc) so it will be unfortunate to lose it for a bit as well.

Birthday reward

My friend will be in town next week so we’re planning to go to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch on the 17th. My mother’s birthday is the 23rd and she loves the Godiva chocolate cheesecake. She won’t be going with us, but I was wondering if I would be able to use her birthday reward to take her home a slice on the 17th? Would they let me do that, or do they need to check it’s my actual birthday?

What's the point?

I've worn glasses since I was about 10 and just recently finally decided to try out contacts. I've always been squeamish and anxious, but I got so sick of constantly cleaning my glasses so I decided to give it a shot. I have a pretty high prescription and astigmatism, so they had to order special trial contacts for me. I've had them for two weeks. I've been able to get them in and out pretty well, although it can still be a bit frustrating.

I was supposed to wear them in longer increments each day up to 12 hours, but I haven't been able to make it past 7 hours because I get so nauseated and miserable. I work from home on my computer, and it feels like my eyes can't focus well enough to read, which results in a near-constant headache. I was actually worried I may have accidentally switched them, but I tried them in the other eye and it was worse.

I had my appointment today to check how they're working, and I literally couldn't read lower than the top line of the eye chart. She ended up saying maybe the fit for my astigmatism isn't just right and ordering a different trial pair for me. However, she said, "Don't get discouraged, but you need to understand your vision won't be as sharp as with glasses, so maybe contacts are not for you."

Is this the normal experience while wearing contacts? What is the point of wearing contacts at all if I can't read while wearing them? Will it just take time for my eyes to adjust or something? I'm so confused. I don't want to spend the money on them if I'm never going to end up wearing them because I feel sick the whole time. I'd rather just keep my glasses and be able to read clearly lol. Should I persevere, or are they "just not for me"?
