Best shoe for hikes in New England and sizing for flat feet?

I’ve always had trouble with hiking boots and basically lived in Merrell MOAB 2s until they changed the last for the 3s and I put on weight so my feet and I just can’t get them to fit.

Woods in New England is rocky and roots. Also would be using them as daily shoes probably.

I’d prefer rough out leather and chunky soles.

Didn’t know if anyone has similar experience to mine and had some insight on which boot to get, especially with the flat feet and a hell if a time being comfortable in hiking boots.

Adding a wooden frame to a Suncast shed?

I’ve seen online folks adding wooden frames to the inside of their resin shed. I didn’t really find a good guide or atleast one that matched to my specific shed.

I’m looking to make it stronger and have the ability for more storage.

Is an 8,000 BTU window unit too weak for a 180 SQ foot room with 12 foot height half vaulted ceilings?

Currently have a 12k Midea dual hose portable in the room. It cools it fine but does absolutely Jack about the humidity. I checked the BTU calculators and they said I need 9,700 so I upped to it to 10,000 but couldn’t find one and got the 12k out of desperation.

I had an 8,000 unit in the room before and it worked well.

Frankly the whole house is humid wven with the AC and our basement gets incredibly humid. Would putting a dehumidifier in the basement help the rest of the house? We have duct work for central air but it’s broken.

In desperate need of getting the house temp under control.

Edit: live in Massachusetts. It’s almost always humid in the summer. Entire first floor (living room and kitchen) cooled by 12k Midea dual hose. Works ok but again same problem with humidity but not as bad as the bedroom

What was even the point of signing up?

Jumped into queue at 10am only to be greeted with the screen theres no tickets available. So fucking stupid. I HATE the current state of live music where I have to battle scalpers and bots. What a waste of time

EDIT: I was able to get a ticket! I hit refresh ON CHROME ON PC and it worked!!

But seriously fuck this system. Best of luck to everyone!

Best Quahoging spots that are public knowledge and how to find my own secret spots?

For years I used to go to Potters Cove in Jamestown and my family said it was a secret spot, and frankly there was NEVER anyone there. Now it’s always busy. Looking for other reliable (and publicly known) spots for quahogs. I’m not asking for your secret spot.

But I am asking, what’s the best way to find my own secret spot? Just check the DEM map to see where I can go and just dig?

I haven’t gone in years since my usual spot got over ran.

Is a 10,000 BTU AC overkill to cool a bedroom that’s 182 SQ feet with 12 foot high ceilings?

All the BTU calculators I used gave me 10,000 as the optimal BTU for my bedroom. I believe the ceiling height is what’s dragging the numbers up.

I’ve asked in the AirConditioner and HVAC subs but get no responses

These are window units

Hard deadline to switch out of SAVE?

I keep seeing on social media that we have to switch out of SAVE by July 1 or be stuck with RAP.

I can’t afford any payments right now to begin with, so I’ve been dragging this out for as long as possible.

Additionally, I took out loans starting in 2013 but was in school until 2020. Am I stuck with old IBR? I’m honestly just so lost.
