For the second time in three years I’ve found my bike on its side when parked on the street. In fact the same two way street it was knocked over on a couple years ago and not the street I normally park on. The first time led to 4 months in the shop. It was upright at least as of 7pm tonight.

This time the front of the bike was on its left side pointing in the wrong direction towards the car parked behind it as if it was spun 90 degrees to the left. It must have hit the curb when it fell because the left side of the handle bars is bent downward.

Yeah I have insurance, yes it’s a risk parking it on the street. What I’m trying to figure out is if someone somehow hit it in a car while driving on the wrong side of the road and aimed for it (because I don’t see how else they could have hit it and rotate it that direction.) or if someone tried to steal it or pushed it over just because. Both locks were in tact. The cover still on, and the key hole not drilled into. I don’t even know if there’s a way to tell if it was an attempted theft or a hit n run or a dickwad walking that wanted to knock something over.

Everyone talks about how it’s guaranteed you’ll drop a bike at least once in your life. No one says anything about it being guaranteed if you don’t drop it someone else is going to knock it over for you.

I don’t know the point of this thread, it’s 3am and I’m annoyed. This shit is making me want to just give up on owning a bike around here.

My Mach 3 handle I've had since around 2004 is finally at a point where I think it needs to be tossed. The one I have now at least feels like its metal or chrome plated or something. However when looking for a replacement it looks like every mass market handle is made of plastic, even the "fancier" handles like Gillette Labs I think is full plastic. Is there anything not made of plastic that doesn't cost $50+ or from a specialty shop?

I dont actually know how this happened since I can't remember ever downloading anything questionable from any website any time recently. But last night a series of events happened that led to me discovering my email, CC and Steam account were hacked. First Windows restarted without warning saying it was installing an update. An hour or so after that Steam signed me out without me touching the computer, then I got a notice from Windows Defender about recommending a scan, then a few minutes after that I got an alert from my CC company about suspicious activity and it was asking if a purchase was me (it was not).

This is partially on me since I got an email alert a week ago about my email possibly being compromised but I hadn't been checking my email regularly this month and I didn't see it til it was too late.

I go to check my CC account on my phone and sure enough, there are 5 different purchases from my Steam account for about $400 worth of giftcards being sent to various users and another where they loaded $5 into my Steam wallet and bought a $3 game. Then I see another $1100 or so charged from my Amazon account. I tell the CC company, Steam and Amazon the purchases are fraudulent and not made by me. My CC company cancels all the transactions. Steam cancels all but $30 (the $5 to my Steam wallet and $25 giftcard sent to someone in China still went through). Amazon canceled both items that were ordered.

First I ran Malwarebytes and it found 5 viruses. 2 instances of something called "RiskWare Curl Abused". 2 instances of "Spyware Needle Stealer" and 1 instance of "Trojan Castle RAT". Then I go through and change the passwords on my two gmail accounts, Steam, Amazon, my bank, and my CC card was canceled and passwords for that account also changed. While changing my Steam password I also saw an unauthorized login using the Steam Guard authenticator was made in Australia. I thought Steam guard was supposed to prevent stuff like this?

There's still more passwords out there I can change but I think I got the major ones. But now i'm also a bit paranoid. How do I know the viruses are fully off my computer and my new passwords havent somehow been logged through keystrokes or screen shots? I have too many accounts for all sorts of random stuff that I can't remember them all and i'm worried i'm leaving some important accounts vulnerable. Is there a risk even after a password change and de-authorizing all devices that someone still has access to my Steam account?

I've done some scans for leaked email passwords with Mozilla Monitor and its found 5 instances of leaked passwords but its all for accounts that havent been used in years and not all that important (game forums I no longer use, etc).

Is there any other way viruses could have been installed on my computer that dont involve me opening sketchy emails or downloaded from untrusted sources (both of which I havent done)?

I never realized they made other Mother themed watches in the past couple years.

Anyone have any good ideas for a first date idea happening in the middle of the week after 7pm for somewhere between Hyde Park and Downtown? Most things that aren't a bar or restaurant are going to be starting to close down close to those times. Is it lame to just walk around Promontory Point or Grant Park, is somewhere like Small Cheval or Pizza Capri (that i see recommended a lot) too casual?

Was riding my 2022 401 Svart (w/ approx 3400 miles) last night, and was cruising in 2nd gear when the engine suddenly started dropping revs steadily. I tried twisting the throttle to regain speed and nothing happened, the revs kept dropping. Downshifted and twisted the throttle, still nothing. Stopping and turning the bike off and on again fixed it and was able to make it home just fine.

I had this exact same thing happen to me about a year ago, and checked the ECU after that event and got a code relating to the electrical systems but I couldn't find any further info. I found some stuff online possibly related but nothing like the exact problem I have. Some suggestions I've seen say let the bike run idle for 15min to reset the ECU or something. With the bike off slowly twisting the throttle open and closed a few times was another one I found. I did both of these suggestions, and cleared the error code on the ECU last year and it seemed to work, I was able to ride the rest of the year and from April til now of this year without any further problems.

Obviously none of those worked, but before i spend $1,000 at the shop does anyone have any idea whats going on with the bike?

I was playing on Isle of Siptah with a friend earlier today when his game crashed while trying to interact with a crafting bench. When he reconnected to the server he was in the Exiled Lands in the place you'd start as if you just made a new character there. He was never given an option to spawn back on the Island.

Anyone know why this happened or if there's an easy way to get back to the island where he left off?

I’ve been unemployed for about six months and for about a month I’ve had a new job lined up due to start next week. I’ve had nearly the whole month of May off and I don’t know what to do with all this free time. I feel like I’m wasting it.

I’m in my late 30s, perpetually single, child free and find myself painfully bored when I have free time. It was easy as a kid, I’d go play with friends or run around the woods. Now as an adult it’s perfect weather on a Tuesday and I can’t think of what to do. I’m incapable of entertaining myself.

Long story short I've recently got an archviz adjacent job after a good chunk of years as a 3d animator in TV/web. The studio I'm going to primarily uses 3Ds Max and VRay, and at the same time my RTX 3080 is having a lot of issues and through lots of tests I think the only fix is a new video card.

Given how bloated the price of (primarily) nVidia video cards have gotten I'm starting to consider getting an AMD or Intel card instead. While they are giving me a beefy laptop to work off of with an RTX 5080 in it, and I primarily use my personal PC for playing games if it ever comes to me doing work on my personal PC are there any disadvantages to using an AMD or Intel video card for this kind of work? I've only used nVidia cards for as long as I can remember and I'm not sure if other brands aren't supported as well or have issues with max/vray/etc.

Not sure if its ICE or a different federal agency, but 3 black Chevy Suburbans High Country SUV's with tinted windows drove by my apartment with lights on a few minutes ago. They kept honking at cars to get out of the way.
