Hi, I have an old Minolta SRT-102. It’s extremely sentimental so I am willing to go as far as possible to preserve/fix it. I’ve heard repairs on this type of camera with the issues it has can be tricky if not impossible. I have shot a lot of film cameras but don’t have experience with minoltas or any cameras from this era.

After some testing, I’ve found:

  1. the shutter speed dial is loose on most of the shutter speeds (250, 125, 30, 15)

  2. Somewhat randomly the shutter will hang closed

  3. Haven’t replaced the battery (need to track down a WeinCell) so not sure if the light meter works

My questions:

  1. Is a repair on this doable?

  2. Where can I get it done? Any recs of a someone in the US I can ship it to?

  3. If not, is there anyone who would be able to switch the body out and put it onto a camera with working internals? There are some engravings on the metal I’d like to preserve.

Thanks in advance.
