Controller turns off when pressing Right Arrow + A

Hi folks,
I've had this controller with my Xbox Series X and it'd always turned off randomly. It's been replaced by Microsoft before, but the issue persists.

Today, when playing a new game, I noticed it always turns off when pressing Right Arrow + A keys, which so happens to be important for the game (Mortal Kombat 1, for what it's worth). This means the game is unplayable with this controller.

When this controller is out of battery, I use an old Xbox One controller, which doesn't show this issue.

Any clues? Just get a different controller?
Firmware is up-to-date.
