The Fighting Dinosaurs [OC]

The Fighting Dinosaurs fossil really exists, it was uncovered in Mongolia in 1971 and features Velociraptor mongoliensis and Protoceratops andrewsi fighting each other. It is one of the best preserved fossil, the two animals are practically intact, and that probably happened because they both got buried alive together while fighting, possibly by a sandstorm.

Now, were they fighting over a TV remote? Many experts say it is very plausible.

More Sevii Islands Regional Forms

One of the somewhat less surprising discoveries, albeit an interesting one nonetheless, that our team made in our expedition was a species in the Psyduck family that takes full advantage of the Pokémon’s inherent psychic abilities. This new species we called Psydus psychicus or Psydrake takes a completely different ontological evolution route from the more widely spread P. duckii (colloquially known as Golduck).

As mentioned before, P. psychicus possesses strong psychic abilities, enhanced by the large pearl on their head which shines brightly red when the Pokémon is using their psychic powers. However, this came with a price: these Pokémon, in fact, seem very slow both on land and in the water (despite being somewhat more more agile while swimming). This is an important difference from P. duckii, which despite having underdeveloped psychic abilities, have evolved to be much faster in the water, opening up new hunting strategies.

The complete absence of P. psychicus on the mainland might be the result of natural selection: competition against other psychic type Pokémon such as the Slowpokis genus (for example Slowking, another water and psychic type Pokémon found in Kanto and Johto mainly) might have driven this species to extinction everywhere but the Sevii Islands where those competitors are not present.

Krita won't launch

Hi everyone, it seems like Krita just stopped working for me. I use Linux Mint and today I tried launching the program, the "Loading Main Window" screen appears and then closes but Krita never actually opens.

The weird thing is that it worked perfectly yesterday, and I haven't done anything since then that could have affected it.

I'm gonna miss this

I love Origins, it's one of my favorite games of all time, and Legends is up there too (I do prefer the style in Origins though). SO seeing what they're going for with the remake... well I'm disappointed.

New series where I create a new ecosystem for the Sevii Islands

The Sevii Islands are a group of small islands south of the Kanto region. This archipelago is home to several species of flora and fauna typical of the region, an indication that they were once connected in some way. The islands themselves were once part of a single larger landmass and only recently separated due to geological processes and sea level raising after the last glacial period (around 12,000 years ago).

Our expedition is the first large-scale research-focused mission ever on these islands, and in our travels we have made a series of remarkable discoveries that we will disclose little by little.

Our first discovery comes from Floe Island, home of the Icefall Cave. This icy cave appears to be out of place on a mostly tropical island chain like the Sevii Islands. The peculiar climate found inside seems to be caused by an unusually cold current, the same that surrounds the Seafoam Islands in Kanto. Naturally most of the Pokémon that inhabit this cave are adapted to low temperatures, except one: the Onix living here have adapted to the freezing temperatures, incorporating the ice crystals growing naturally on the walls into their bodies, as they are part of their natural diet. Our team also recorded an ice-covered Steelix, or what seemed to be a Steelix, in fact closer analysis of body material revealed it is in fact a new species. Our team named the new species Onisum crystalii or Cryogenix. Unlike the more widely spread O. ironisnakae, this new species seem to be composed entirely of ice, or at least possess a very thick outer layer of ice surrounding the inner rocky core. Their lower jaw seems to have adapted to dig up the snow and ice they feed upon more easily.

This discovery opened up a whole new world of potential and we quickly discovered the Sevii Islands are home to a biodiversity never before documented, we are excited to let you into this new world of Pokémon!

New Extinct Pokémon for my series

Mushroom Pokémon are a group of usually Grass-Type Pokémon that, as the name suggests, present several characters correlated to mushrooms. Species in this very small group more often than not show a large mushroom cap on top of their head and the ability to produce and disperse spores (a character also seen in some Plant Pokémon, but considered today an example of convergent evolution).

This group was traditionally classified as an offshoot of the Plant Pokémon due to several similarities, but modern genetic analysis and techniques have revealed a very close relationship with the Sprite Pokémon, a group including Wigglytuff (Jigglypum balloonis) and Clefable (Clefairis moonibondia).

Recently, an extinct species previously considered the ancestor to all Plant Pokémon named Sporely (Podlium sporebondia) was reanalyzed. The discovery of new material, and microscopy scanning of new and old material, revealed a stunning discovery: this was the most ancient Mushroom Pokémon ever found. This furthers strengthened the connection with Sprite Pokémon, and even suggests the ancestor to the three groups (Mushroom Pokémon, Plant Pokémon and Sprite Pokémon) might have looked closer to Mew (Meus originus) than previously thought.

Miceliong (Sporelis longitailia) was a species of Mushroom Pokémon with a large mushroom cap on top of its head not dissimilar to other species of the group. It was found with several traces of spores fossilized within the rock, suggesting it could also produce spores much like its fellow Mushroom Pokémon, and the anatomy of its final ontological evolution stage shows a more developed body than most Mushroom Pokémon, placing it at the very base of the Mushroom Pokémon evolution branch.

Hello everyone, I've been looking around the internet for a solution to this problem but I can't find anything concrete: is there a way to show the thumbnail instead of the generic icon of a file on Linux Mint?
