How to reset jellyfin app & such clients on Android?

I am only talking about clients on phone not the server itself to be clear. I messed around the apps way too much and now want default settings but even after clearing data and cach and reinstalling the apps the settings still stay intact. The clients I am using are: Jellyfin, Moonfin, Fladder.

How do I make my server pc turn on automaticly and login into system while having a password after every electricity cut?

so I am just using a old pc as my homeserver so I don't really have ups for it. I currently on windows but will install something like casaos. I can do it on windows by not having a password but if I want to use casaos and ssh into the server I need to have a password. how do I make it so that while connected to electricity it starts the pc and starts running all my services like jellyfin and Adguard home. (plz don't tell me to buy a ups or something rn, I don't have that much important file on their just media files)

Do I need a 2nd monitor for my homeserver hosted on my old pc?

I am a total beginner. so I am upgrading my pc, and plan to use my current/old pc as a homeserver running jellyfin, immich, Adguard home, qbittorrent. I currently have a 1 monitor set up. I do have another monitor but I prefer a 1 monitor setup. can I control my homeserver directly from my main pc without plugging in another monitor for the server pc? I download a lot torrents on with qbittorrent manually just to be clear, I don't set up automation for it that much. I don't intend to use sonnar, radar, seer type of stuff yet cause I haven't researched enough yet, and I think they are meant for tv shows and alike, I plan to host anime on jellyfin instead.

Is this hardware enough for a decent home server?

Services:

1. Jellyfn

  1. Adguard home

  2. Qbittorrent

  3. Immich

The main service would be Jellyfin. I tend to watch shows with direct play most of the times, just use transcode occasionally when my 4k tv doesn't support the heavy ass subtitles and quality.Jellyfin won't be streaming more than 2 streams at a time. This are my leftover parts just lying around.

300$ for (8x2)=16gb kit vs 400$ for (16x2)=32gb kit (DDR5)? 32 gb kit Worth it?

both are 6000mhz cl-36. should I spend the extra 100$ for the 32gb kit? mind you I am upgrading from ddr4 16gb 2111mhz missmatched kit. i don't wanna buy a aio cause I can use my old aio hence me thinking of spending extra on ram, but the prices are insane now that I am buying it, I was cracking jokes about this sh#t not long ago until my motherboard died

What's the best/most stable method of setting up jellyfin?

Newbie here, help is much appreciated. On windows I just use installer which is easy as f, but on Linux(fedora) I am having hard time figuring out which method is exactly the most stable. {1.docker compose 2.portainer} I also saw there can be glitches on Linux cause unlike windows jellyfin directly doesn't access my GPU. also is fedora not recommended for jellyfine, do I have to use Debian based distros after all? lastly is there like any quality difference between windows and Linux cause of native and docker?

Can I add 3.5 hdd here?

under this is the hdd cage that came in with the case which only has space for 2. I have a 3rd hdd, is there any way I put that in the red box?

u/General-Turn-8695 — 2 months ago

Is a 3.5 hdd using a 3.5 enclosure okay for jellyfin?

so my pc has no more space for 3.5 hdd's so I am planning to use a 3.5 enclosure for it. I searched up a little and saw the drives stop spinning after 3-5 minutes to save energy or something, is that a problem?
