So I work at a fish store and ive been looking for a imbellis for a long time with no success I ordered a pair but the seller wasnt shipping them and eventually i just got a refund i got thd money yesterday amd go to work and there in one of the tanks was this little gem. So anyway I bought him immediately... if he isnt one its fine I dont mind I still love the thing but I wanted to know if it was indeed a wild type imbellis? Or if it was a hybrid or a morph of splenden. The color matches and the fin rays match aswell though from every picture ive seen the anal fin has blue lines and a red tip whereas he has red qith a lil blue at the base though it might be because hes not colored up fully. Anyways I need a second opinion. Thoughts?

I was at work and got too the store and found this cute gem apparently a customer brought it in and donated the tank bought him immediately. (I have a running tank ive been saving for a imbellis or wildtype or just betta I like in general) it seems lile a wild type and a imbellis maybe a hybrid? But I could use a second opinion
Ive kept fish all my life and work at a local fish store but ive never had a planted tank I wanted to make one for a betta so I bought this 5 gal and made the hardscape and put in a filter I was already running in a seperate tank overnight i did hours of research of the plants I wanted and how to take care of them the next day I went out and bought the plants aswell as liquid fertilizer and the root tabs. The tank looked amazing and I was happy but the next day I woke up to the tank being foggy but I figured itd go away and its cycling I waited a week and asked my coworkers what to do because they where more knowledgeable about freshwater and aquariums in general and told me not to do waterchanges and to just leave it alone. But it kept getting foggier and worse until its at this state. All the plants are dead. And the aquarium looks horrible I dont know what I did wrong so any and all advice is welcome. I took a spin test at work- ALK- 268

(Edit: thank you to everyone thats bothered commenting I appreciate all your insight and its made me feel alittle less hopeless for the tank)
