Back in the day when you took your car to the home matches did you get the kids saying they’d look after your car for a few bob? Any stories?

Malcolm “SuperMac” MacDonald on 21st August 1971 v Liverpool. A home debut to remember, a 3-2 win and hatrick in the bag. Costing £180,000 he played for NUFC between 1971-76 and went on to make 256 appearances (1sub) scoring 138 goals which is a 54% conversion rate. Do you have any memories of him?

“Queen Budapest”What are fans thoughts on the this release? Are you looking forward to it or should things be left as they are? IMAX and cinemas will be showing the remastered concert from 7th October and I’ll be banging the door down.

I saw Queen live a few weeks before this concert so seeing the remastered Hungarian performance will bring back so many memories and emotions.

If you could have a pint with one NUFC player past or present who would it be?

Hughie Gallagher for me.

He played for NUFC between 1925-1930 making 174 appearances scoring an incredible 143 goals. That’s a conversion rate of 82%

He was a man with undoubted talent but he also had many personal troubles which would unfortunately end in tragedy.

Do you believe David saved NUFC from oblivion? Without his goal v Portsmouth we could have dropped to the third tier! That could have meant Keegan leaving, no entertainers and no resurgence. Perhaps the end of the football club. Is David Kelly a club legend? Do you have any other memories of him?

Ned Kelly
