Why does undereye concealer always make me look worse

I have medium to high ish visual weight, small eyes, hollow and dark under eyes, and hyperpigmentation all around my eyes and eyelid (because I'm melenated)

Anyways, I've been struggling with this for a while now, Which is that i always looked WAY WORSE with a full beat and I didnt know whyyy.

Until recently I saw this makep tut of a girl with simillar features as mine, who talked about how your under eye concealer may be making your eyes look wayy smaller,

esp if they're already small. She said you need to be adding some depth to your undereyes with eyshadow and lower lash mascara, etc.

However I diddd try that, I natually have VERY long lower lashes, so i accentuared them with mascara, and wore smoked eyeshadow on my lower lash line, yet still my eyes looked sooo small.

The only time under eye concealer truly suits me is when i add VERY little, so the eyebags are still veryy much showing through.

But I do have heavyy eyebags, and want to cover them and look awake, without making my eyes look tiny, does anyone have any advice?

For the Quran only muslims

Recently I have been deconstructing hadith. Currently I reject all hadith that contradicts the Qur'an, but some of these quranist arguments are sounding convincing, especially since allah explicitly says in 7:185, so what hadith will they belive after this? (the quran). However, can any quran only muslims respond to these questions she mentions in the video??

Why the "leave the dunya" mindset is SO harmful

I think a kind of mindset that has plagued our ummah so much is this kind of "leave the dunya" hyper individualistic spirituality mindset. Yes, I think its important to detach from this world and realize that we're working towards our akhirah, but also, that doesn't mean that we neglect the importance of doing what's right in this world, including resisting and speaking out against opression, and working to build a better world.

It truly made me SO pissed, when muslims are asked about why they weren't raising awarness/donations/boycotting against genocide in gaza, their response was just "all we can do is pray for them". NOOOOOOO this such a harmful mindset! It keeps you in a state of willing ignorance and moral disengagement.

I saw a video today where this muslim woman was talking about how the end is literally SO NEAR (which none of us know is when) because global warming is reaching levels of insanity, and theres heatwaves everywhere. And her takeaway from that was basically just "the day of judgement is sooner than we think, get closer to your deen and improve your salah", which I don't disagree with, obviously.

But the reason that the video FRUSTRATED ME so much is because the REASON why climate change is reaching these levels is because of capitalist greed. Because the capitalist ruling class, epstien class, top 1 percent, whatever you wanna call them, are WILLING to destroy the planet, entire ecosystems and make the world inhabitable, just for the sake of their profits.

Capitalism is inherently a parasitic system, and needs to be abolished. It's built on colonialism, imperialism, slavery, exploitation, alienation, and environmental degredation. The same capitalists who profit off of climate change, also profit off of the genocide in gaza, whether thats profit for weapon manufacturing companies, or tech and surveillance. Its allll connected. They also profit immensely off the genocides in Sudan, and Congo.

We, as muslims should recognize these system, and fight towards building a better world, which can only be achieved through a socialist revolution. Now don't reply to this regurgitating propoganda you've heard about some "socialism never works, evil communism, blah blah".

Socialism is literally the ONLY way forward in the state of the world we are in right now. Its either socialism or a literal mass extinction. I reccomend you watch these video if you want to learn more, they're not that long and really educative: https://youtu.be/Lskj8TADSdM?si=SmV82GQ7GNpSc6ZT https://youtu.be/hactcmhVS1w?si=E5Sm-67Gm8G05nOE https://youtu.be/nFUC0UWgdGY?si=QJEiUTnQp8gzwBYL

Instead of worrying so much about WHEN the day of judgement is coming, we should ask ourselves; "what will I respond with, when Allah asks me on the day of judgement why I didn't resist and fight against the systems of opression"?.

We need collective action, prayer is really important yes, I'm not denying that. However, no amount of prayer will change the SYSTEMS If WE as a collective don't want to work towards that. That can look like boycotting, educating yourselves and others, joining organizations, etc.

One of the most central themes of the prophetic story most repeated in the quran, the story of Musa AS, is standing up to tyrany and opression. Your Iman shouldn't make you passive and ignorant.

This is why I get especially irritated when I go online and I see muslim men who have nothinge better to do than constantly harrass women online for literally just existing and living their lives. Or when I see muslims online having POINTLESS discourse on whether induvidual actions are halal or not, constantly policing others actions, or only talking about how to improve INDUVIDUAL acts of worship (which I'm not denying is VERY important).

Yes, this dunya is not the end goal, but EVERY single action of yours will be accounted for, including inactions, like doing absolutely nothing while the world is burning, both in crisis due to capitalism, (the recession, affordability crisis, the rise in fascism globally, etc), and literally (due to global warming).

Anyways this is something thats been on my mind a lot, and I just wanted to yap about. Ik I'm rlly bad at articulating myself but I hope it makes sense.

Being a woman with leftist views

As a woman, especially one that grew up in an extremely patriarchal culture, I had to learn the hard way that people really HATE opinionated women.

Every woman I've talked to about this agrees. People expect you to be as agreable as possible. And when your not, you get a lot of hate. From men, and women with internalized misoginy.

People especially hate when your a woman with leftist beliefs that your vocal about. This I've also had to learn the hard way. I do repost a lot of stuff about politics online as I want to raise awarness. But in person I ONLY talk about it when the topic is bought up. I've constantly only been met with hostility because of this.

Because of this, I did try to water down my opinions. Don't mention them unless the topic is bought up, and communicate them better yk. Yet still I trigger so many people, especially "apoliticals" (closeted right wing).

Anyone else who can relate lol.

Tawassuf and sufism

I highlyy highly reccomend EVERY single person in this sub to learn about sufism/tawassuf and purification of the nafs. The reason why mainstream islam presents wahabism/extremist patriarchal male worhsiping dogma fear based bs as the only version of islam is because saudi arabia since the 70s has spent BILLIONS on exporting wahabism all throughout the islamic world. I know this because sufism was VERY prevalent, and even the norm in some parts of my country begore the spread of wahabism. Theres nothing contradictory about being muslim and questioning the status quo, critically thinking, and not blindly dogmatically believing in the words of men like they're the words of God.

Propogating to "progressives"

Usually when leftists talk about liberals, they mean people who have yet to be disusillusioned AT ALL by the status quo. But those aren't the ones that I'm suurounded by, in my circle. They call themselves progressive and are sper pro palestine, fricking love someone like Zohran Mamdani, super aware about systemic social justice issues, etc. Yk like repost stuff about humanitarian crises caused by imperialism like genocides in sudan and congo, yet somehow still side with their countries imperialism when its beneficial to them. They see Israel as not an expansion of western imperialism, but a special case yk? And they don't understand that their settler colonial country built on the genocide of the indigenous people, isn't much different that israel. They despise the idf, but support the terrorist army of their imperialist country. They want ICE to be abolished, but they think "not all cops are bad". Basically full of contradictions. These peple have countless critiques of capitalism, despise billionares, despise AI and climate change, and data centers. But if you ask them what is to be done to change the system, they either say "theres nothing we can do", or talk about electoralism and voting progressive social democrat, whos entire purpose is to preserve capitalism by giving the working class the spoils of imperialism. How can I propogate to someone like this. Usually they have a super doomer mindset, and get super uncomfortable when you tell them that they benifit off of imperialism.

On how to educate

Hii guys I'm a high school student and after this summer I'm going into my senior year. Last year, me and a friend of mine who's Palestinian wanted to create an extracurricular club at our school to raise political awarness, promote socialism, educate people, fundraise for gaza and other humanitarian causes, while also just building community, etc. The club idea got rejected by the admin (not surprised because they have in the past been anti palestinian)

But this year we'll try propose the idea again and i realllyyy hope it gets accepted. But the only thing is, I need Ideas for how I can educate people, while also just building community. Most highschoolers aren't willing to join a extracurricular that entails them just listening to educational powerpoints, and having political discussions. I want ideas for activities that'll require minimal funding and also help build community, educate people and raise class conciousness. If anyone has any Ideas it would be really helpful!

Western leftists, radical feminists and antitheism

(This is the question for the progressive muslims/quran only muslims only, not those questioning or ex muslims)

Whats ur opinion on online western leftists/ radical feminists who have like super black and white thinking when it comes to faith/religion, and either see it as ingerently opressive, or a coping mechanism.

Do you think that islam is compatible with radical feminism which seeks to abolish patriarchy and abolish all gender constructs as a whole.

On iranian women

A while ago I got a post removed from r/Feminism because I said that western conversations about womens opression in Iran are used as us imperialist propoganda and used as a tool to manufacture consent and bomb Iran in the name of "liberating women". I also added that a lot of the conversation about muslim womens opression in south west asia/north africa dehumanizes both muslim women AND men. There is so many nuances to this topic, but its hard to think critically of course. Of course its easier to see everything as black and white orientalist, imperialist and colonialist prespective.

"Israel is decolonization project"??????

Wtf is this? Israel and decolonization?? Ive literally never heard more of an oxymoron ever in my life... Ofc this is the shit the mass media news outlets r gonna highlight instead of the countless indigenous ppl who spoke up nd protested for palestine and recognize the parallels of the settler colonialism

Haram is haram, even if everyone is doing it.

Bigotries, hatred against others eg. racism, opressing others, spreading ignorance, raping, not spreaking up against injustices/tyranny, refusing to spend in the cause of Allah, partaking in riba/interest, and exploiting others is haram, even if EVERYONES doing it.

Also, we must always strive to purify our heart from your ego, hatred, arrogance, and pride completely, through worship.

Genuinley how do you not despair

This is a question for the progressive believers, not ex muslims or non Muslims.

How do you not despair when seeing the state of our ummah today.

One one hand muslims are being opressed, genocided, targeted, and villanized all across the world, meanwhile their opression is overshadowed by the victim complex of their opressers. All while, the elite have poured billions into mass media to spread islamaphobic rgetoric propoganda.

On the other hand, theres muslims who constantly misconstrue and weaponize islam to opress women, minorities, control others, spread bigotry, push people away from islam, discrimination, etc. Leading to honour killings, sectarian violence, religious trauma, etc.

And in much of the muslim world the hyper conservative, patriarchal dogma based bs is seen as the only acceptable version of islam, where you cant even dare to challenge the status quo.

What makes floptropica so great

As a proud citezen, I think we can all agree that what makes floptropica so great is that our foremothers (whom we must remember and credit) fought tooth and nail against the dictatorship of Daboyzz post the imperial terroristic badussy wars that only benifitted daboyzz ruling class and their military industrial complex. Our foremothers led a revolution where they seized the means of production, replaced private ownership with collective ownership, redistribution of wealth, and establish a matriarichal system where everyones needs are met and everyone has true freedom and liberation. We must NEVER forget and always commemorate HERstory!!!!

Unlearning patriarchal religion+ connecting with God

I have a question for those on here who grew up in religious conservative households and had to unlearn all the patriarchal bs. I've had to unlearn a lot over the years and now I prefer to be spiritual and not religious. I do believe in God and I don't think I'll ever not believe in God, but I wanna ask yall how do you personally connect with God especially if you've faced religious trauma in the past around version of religion that degrades and objectifies women.
