Hey guys!! I’m thinking about getting a Bambu Lab A1 Mini with a 0.2 mm nozzle. I want to print miniatures from around 4–20 cm and paint them afterward. I don’t have enough space at home to safely set up a resin printer, plus I have a cat. Do you think I can get decent results with this setup for my purposes?
I also have a few questions:
, Or maybe even use dichloromethane to smooth the miniature (outdoors with proper PPE, I know how toxic it is).
4.
It would also be interesting to see your prints! I’m especially interested in ones that have been processed as much as possible to remove the layer lines, if that’s even possible.
Thanks!!
This is probably the first miniature where I really tried to avoid using washes and instead painted all the lighting and shadows by hand. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and the sculpt itself is fantastic. It’s a shame there are so few miniatures like this online. Thanks to Nerikson for this model

Hi! I've been thinking about buying an FDM printer. Would the Bambu Lab A1 Mini be a good choice for printing various miniatures, ranging from Warhammer-scale models to larger figures (8-20sm) or is there something better around the same price range?
Also, what affects print quality the most? For example, what filament would you recommend? Or are there any good ways to reduce the visibility of layer lines after the model has been printed? I'd like the layer lines to be as minimal and unnoticeable as possible on miniatures.
I know SLA printers produce much better detail, but unfortunately I don't have a suitable space with proper ventilation to safely use one
Hi guys, could you please advice me some authors who make a guide for grimdark style? I’m only finding some guides on grimdark compendium, but i’m interested is there other guides except GC?
