Possible grade and is 80€ bad price to pay for this? (I live in eu)
Cleaned unc / au coin with some bag marks as well. Feels pretty crispy in hand.
Should i dip the leftover patina from the cleaning off the coin or leave it as it is?
Composition: 27,777g .900 Ag
Mintage: 200000
Hey does this coin look authentic? I saw it in a local fb numismatic group auction and some1 already bid 400€ for it and the auction closes today. Its supposed to be .821 silver.
Hey saw it in a local fb numismatic group auction and some1 already bid 400€ on it so i wanted to ask does this look legit or not? Its supposed to be .812 silver.
Hey im interested bidding on this coin in local auction but im pretty clueless about prices on these. What would be maximum appropiate price to bid on this coin when i start bidding so that i won't overpay? Its currently 45€ with no bids and ends in few days. Thanks.
Prussia 5 mark 1888 Frederik III
Bavaria 5 mark 1913 Otto
Has some luster left. Photos taken in slightly different lighting.
This year is the lowest mintage of the series. Good condition, really lustrous. Finnish goverment melted most of these down along with 200 markkaa silver coins. Silver purity is .500 in these coins.
Hey any1 have experience selling and shipping items in that sub from europe? I would like to sell there in future due to getting bad prices for anything under 999 silver here in finland. The most paying bussines pays only around 67% of melt from under 999 and selling on used marketplaces you get mostly like 70-80% off spot from junk + getting spot even from 900 or 925 is impossible. The reason is parlty due to high taxes and costs that i understand. Its also a good thing cuz you can find cheap under 999 silver here constantly from used marketplaces.
Saw this coin on sale from local antique shops website. I thought the coin looks pretty nice and did some research and bought it (Paid 230€ + postal for it) Well the coin arrived and its been completely ruined. (Harshly cleaned, wiped and polished to oblivion) First pics are the sale pictures and next are what the coin really looks like. The prick didn't mention anything about this crap about the coin and probably has been altering his sale pictures with photo editing software. Fortunately i can return the coin for free it seems like but still sucks. Does this guy think that some1 buying expensive coins havent done their home work and cant see these marks and state of the coin when it arrives? This coin isnt even worth 80€ after this terrible polish job.
Some1 guy is selling his uncles gold coins and seems to be absolutely clueless about the prices. Hes selling this for 1150€. He already sold indian head 5 dollars gold coin for 370€ and was about to sell the other 2 he had for 600€ but i told him they are worth much more. He has ngc ms65 finland 10 mark gold coin also but that is priced right atleast. I have no money to even buy these coins.
Havent received the coin yet so don't have better pictures atm. Bought it from local antique shop for 230€ + postal.
Russia 1844 mw silver rouble from warsaw mint in pretty nice condition. Weight is 20,73g .868 pure silver.
Got offered this for 200€. I really like the coin due to being only 5 silver mark with frederik iii portrait and the condition is nice, but im not sure if its worth to pay that much given i found atleast 3 ngc slabbed ms 61, 62 sold maximum 157€. Opinions?
Both have decent luster left. I got these two for scrap price while ago (around 75% of spot)
Hey any idea what caused the edges to be in this state? Should i bring the coin to silver smith and repair the rim that it looks better or just leave it at is it?
How much bad rim damage like this affect the coins value when its other wise a nice coin? Is damage like this repairable or leave at it is? The coin in question is russian silver 1839 imperial poltina / 50 kopecks.
Fake or real just bought this in a lot. Weights 26,7g
Hey im a coin collector wanting to buy my first ancient coin and i saw this denarius listed for 70€ and since i don't know anything about ancient coins, i was wondering if some1 could help is this worth the money? Thanks.
