Bang Chan and Mina's relationship once again made me realize how trivial fanwars truly are

For context, a few hours back Twice's Mina and SKZ's Chan as ambassadors were at a Fendi event in Italy and after he left Chan sent the following message on bubble:

>STAYs that I just met in Rome! >Mina’s still in the building too!

>Make sure you cheer for her and show her lots of love too!!!

>Thanks for the awesome cheers! Hehehe

P. S Any Once x Stay here happy to see them interact again? (╹▽╹)

It looks like the Tik Tok-ification of K-pop won't slow down any sooner

Note: Please keep the discussion to Hybe and it's music alone and don't use this as a chance to hate on TXT and other groups. I love their music and It's not my intention to use this as an excuse to start a hate train on them

Recently a interview talking about the behind-the-scenes of TXT latest album was released and here are a couple of snippets from it:

>When it came to keeping TXT’s own identity intact, what mattered most musically?

>Slow Rabbit: I think TXT’s biggest strength is melody, and they also have a very distinct way of expressing energy. Even when a track has a lot of energy, the vocals stay nuanced. That contrast feels very TXT to me. We also avoided the heavy, hard-hitting rhythm sounds often used in K-pop to create energy and intensity. Instead, we used lighter sounds and centered the arrangement more around synths. At the same time, we tried new things, like using distorted, rough-edged effects that feel closer to what you might hear in **TikTok music these days.**

But at the same time they also mentioned:

/

>Kim Boram: Still, the most important thing throughout that process was not losing what makes TXT, TXT. During the interviews, one of the members said, “Success that comes from changing our color isn’t really ours.” That showed how much respect both the members and the production team had for the heritage and identity TXT had built over the years. So that became the core direction of the album: to change, but in a way that still felt true to TXT.

Maybe I'm just scared for nothing.

At the end of the day what is most precious to me is the core of TXT's music and what makes them stand out from every other artist out there. By that I don't just mean shorter songs, I hope they don't change it to tailor it to tik tok trends.

The article itself was quite interesting, so I recommend reading it for a better understanding of TXT as a group.

JYP ent. is airing a new surivival show for their new GG with NMIXX cameo as the judges

Here's the first episode on YouTube and the contestants are sooo talented, it makes sense that NMIXX are brought as judges cuz it seems to a vocal focus survival show.

I stopped watching survival shows long ago since they started to feel super rigged these days but the performances here are seriously amazing that I had to give it a try.

Even though they are shit at managing their artists, One thing I can praise the company for is they how to find good talent.

Also I want that Australian Constestant to interact with Lily more, I'm sure it will remind her of her K-pop star days 🥺

What are some fairly unique Song Titles in Kpop?

I was looking through some Stray Kids songs are realized they seem to have some fairly unique song titles ex.

• Chronosaurus, Social Path, MIROH, Levanter Christmas Evel, Hellevator, Lonely St., God's Menu, Case 143, Give me your TMI, Super Board, Megaverse, Topline, ITEM, Winter Falls, Truman, SuperBowl, District 9, Maknae on Top etc. And I don't think there is another song named 3Racha either.

Of course, a lot of them seem to contributed by their wordplay.

• Or alternative titles Sorikkun/소리꾼, Shinseon Noreum/신선놀음, Lak/樂

• Or making up acronyms like FNF (refering to Flora and Fauna)

• It's the first time I'm hearing a title named Heavy Serenade (NMIXX) too or maybe my tastes are just too mainstream?

•ILLIT's Mamihlapinatapai (I had to copy paste it cuz how do you even spell that? I just search "ILLIT new album mami" For now)

• I-dle's LATATA or HANN sounds fairly unique but I don't really know Korean so I'm not sure. So There's also lot of Onamopoteia like Blackpink's DU-DU-DDU-DU but I'm not sure if it's unique.

I think having the cross between English and Korean, KPop has a lot of potential for making some fairly unique song titles.... Or whatever Red Velvet's Zimzalabim means.....

Edit: From what I've gathering from this thread, most these seem to fall into these categories:

✅ WordPlay

✅ Onamopoteia

✅ Acronyms

✅ Numbers + Letters

✅ Emojis/Symbols

✅ Common words but uncommon song titles

✅ Just made that shit up, but who cares it sounds cool

✅ Absurdly long and oddly specific sentences

✅ What language was that again?

✅ Nonsense (★But we embrace it ★)

✅ Code language for Cults (Looking at you Zimzalabim)

In conclusion, the K in K-pop stands for Kreative (Don't correct me cuz that how we spell it here)

Always Good to see NMIXX receiving support from their Seniors

Bang Chan gets it! 😁

Between this, Seungmin covering Blue Valentine on his insta and Changbin dancing to Love me like this as if it were his own song and Han to Dice—Happy to see Stray Kids always showing support for their Juniors. I really love JYP family fr

Hope this gets more Stays to check out their song, although I'm sure a lot of them already have.

NMIXX's LOUD is so queer coded and I love it

The fact that it's solely written by Lily makes it even better. Shout out to both Different girl and Heavy Serenade as well!

Here's the song if you haven't heard it yet: [LOUD]

>LAURA SIRIKUL: This album is a declaration of love, but one really resonated with me – “Loud,” because it is a revelation of love. Lily, you had a part in writing this song (as well as “Crescendo”). I feel many in the queer community will resonate with this song.

>The lyrics, “Don’t tell me to shh, 'cause you know I gotta let it out // I wanna love you loud, I wanna love you loud // Gorgeous, Gorgeous girls // Gorgeous boys,” reminded me of Little Mix’s “Secret Love Song Pt. 2,” which became a queer anthem. “Loud” could be the next queer anthem. I know you don’t need to be queer to feel this emotion. Everyone can resonate. What can you tell me about this song?

>LILY: I'm really glad that it resonated with you. I really do hope it becomes a song that resonates with anyone who listens, because you're so right. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to the lyrics. I was really reminded of that Little Mix song while I was writing it. I was aiming for an overall message that I hope many people can relate to. Forbidden love. [It is] sad that you have this love that’s so big and that you want to tell the whole world, but you can’t because of circumstances.

>It’s not just NMIXX that would relate to that feeling; there are lots of people in the world. I really hate that it’s a reality for so many people. I do hope the song can offer some respite to people going through anything like that. It’s just a celebration of all kinds of love. It doesn’t have to be sad because it’s a beautiful thing in itself to love someone that loudly.

Stray Kids' Han new song once again proves why he is called 4th gen Ace

The New Song just came out and I'm rightfully gagged.

Seungmin's SKZ-Record last week and now this? His range of artistry is actually insane.

Once again I can count on Han to give me a 4 minute 20 sec song in this economy. I was pleasantly surprised to see the song be fully in English!

Sometimes I feel like I talk so much about how amazing Han-pop is that I forget to praise
Han himself and how talented he is.

How does his singing seem to get even better every time I hear him? He must really be working hard on his vocals cuz sometimes I have to remind myself that he is also their Main Rapper.

The lyrics speak for themselves once again and the MV is seriously on the level of a Solo debut.

Since Stray Kids have mostly been silent for the first quarter of the year, I feel like cherishing all these new songs even more.

Cheers to Rock-Star Han, Manifesting a Han Solo album ASAP 🙏

Edit: It looks like all the members will be SKZ-Players one by one leading towards the release of SKZ-Replay. Which hopefully means they'll be on Spotify soon.

Here's the article

The Song if you're interested in listening to it.

Context: Back in 2024, SKZ Main Vocal Seungmin requested each member of 3Racha (Chan, Changbin and Han) to write a song for him, with the songs Chan and Changbin wrote getting released recently and Han's being the final installment.

The song that he requested from Han has finally come out today after the long wait and... OH MY GOD DO I FEEL DEVASTATED

As someone who has been going through a really a hard time, This song didn't just hit home but completely Destroyed me from inside out. I'm not someone who exaggerates but I truly feel this way.

A Song about going through life, from a mere fish trapped in a little aquarium, and then eventually breaking through the glass, the pain that comes with the struggle, a long lone walk in a dim path and eventually reaching the bigger sea to swim toward a better and beautiful place.

It's Cathartic. It's comforting.

If Seungmin's vocals and Han's Lyrics weren't enough the Visual and Animation in the video equally amazed me, you can really feel how much thought was put to every single aspect.

Seeing the Art world fall victim to AI-Slop, I find it commendable how they commission real artists for the MVs and even credits them on his posts (especially cuz crediting artists is a rarity in the industry iykyk). You can really feel how much appreciation he has for art and the artists behind them.

[Side note: Am I seeing things or is that Seungmin in his high school uniform at the start?]

Seungmin said that release had to be pushed back a lot cuz he wanted the song's colours and vibes to leave a lasting impression and hoped that it was a song that won't be quickly forgotten and even took a lot of time to polish the recording.... I think he really accomplished his goal.

>"For some people, it might just be a short video on YouTube that they scroll past"

>"But i started recording the song when the weather was so cold, then kept refining it, and spent a lot of time thinking about what could make it easy to follow through a video, then requested to be commisioned with it."

>"I hope this song sticks in people's memories for a long time, and they come back to search for it and listen again and again"

>"more than anything i hope that our team’s music spreads far and wide, and becomes widely known"

Seungmin to Han in 2 kids room:

>"For Chan or Changbin, I feel like they often work from imagination when they write songs. But you take those feelings tucked away in a corner of your heart and imagine from there when you write.

>So when I touch that part of you, I get really careful. [.....] The energy you have right now, It just translates straight into the songs. [.....] So I don't want to mess with that area either.

>Inside Han there are these incredibly deep feelings and the ability to capture things that others could never imitate. He can put those into his songs. That's just so special. Even his real self is so mysterious, he feels like that kind of person"

\

Listening to this song, I'm reminded of his words once again. You can really tell how each one of 3Racha wrote the songs thinking of Seungmin and tailored them to his voice.

I love how Seungmin never misses an opportunity to praise and thank 3Racha and their work. And How 3Racha give him back the same love and always praise his skills.

For those who don't know; Stray Kids have this series on their YouTube channel know as [SKZ-Record] where they release original as well as cover songs regularly outside of comebacks (Usually as Solos and sometimes in Units) and this song is one of them.

The Fact they still put this much effort into songs that are not part of a comeback, have no promo, won't even get a release on streaming services other than YouTube... And most of all—Will probably never reach many people outside their hardcore fan base....

It tells me that they are truly a group which keeps on giving— Artists who truly love making music.

Probably in the distant future I won't be into Kpop like I once was but this is one of those songs that will stick with me for a long time.

Edit: The other two songs if anyone here likes to get their heart to crumble on a random weekend:

Goodbye - Written by Chan

Still Here - Written by Changbin

The three songs feels like 3 stages where you grieve your past, struggle to let go of it and the finally move on and reach a better place.

I sincerely hope Seungmin's wish for their music to reach more and more people comes true.

And Lastly, Please get well soon!! So you can sing for a long time together like you wished!!!

(P.S Ignore the typos if any, I really wrote this in the spur of the moment)

Edit: Wow. Seriously, this song is too good to not even be part of a comeback. At this point, even though I don't know Korean, the lyrics seem to read like straight up poetry.

As we are 🤝 The Sea

★ Kudos to Skz for making an almost 5 minute long song in this economy ★

Han about Seungmin in 2 Kids room:

Q. If you could describe Seungmin in one word, what would it be?

[Atlantis]

>What I said about him in the beginning, about him being a "mysterious kid" is kind of similar

>The more he hones his skills, it's like the ocean water keeps receding and this huge dazzling undersea world is slowly starting to appear. Seungmin is going to look cooler than he does now.

> Right now it feels like only a little bit of his Atlantis has surfaced. As time goes on and he gains more experience, we'll see a perfect Atlantis, all at once.

The boy in the black uniform is indeed student Seungmin, as confirmed by the artist who did the artwork!!

Someone just pointed out that the moment Seungmin jumps into the sea in the MV the time stamp is 3:25

I'm not sure if it's a coincidence but it would be really cool if it's intentional—since 03:25 symbolizes Stray Kids debut date (25th of March)

Listened to it like 20 times already. I'm in love.

It's exactly what Imagined when I heard the album name "Heavy Serenade" If I had to describe it feels somewhat like the Lovechild of High Horse and Papillion. If anything, I wish the song was a bit longer :,)

Totally geared upbfor May 11 when the title-track and the full EP drops! (Also, Lily's first solo writing credits for one of the songs 'LOUD' YAY)

No one else is doing like NMIXX rn, The MV if you wanna check it out!
